We Americans make light of the corruption that takes place in such countries as Mexico, and we do it with an attitude of superiority, pride, disgust and arrogance, that we are "above" that sort of behavior. Yes, there are numerous such examples around the world. In some of those countries the corruption and graft is more obvious and in the open and commited by the more "common" worker, officer, person, politician, etc. In the USA, the corruption and graft is much more "sophisticated" and instiutionalized and commited by equally shameless people wearing ties and suites. If this country crumbles, it will have happened from the inside, home made as apple pie and not because of some nut out there with a nuke, but by someone with a laptop wearing a smile, a suit, and a tie. Greed knows no boundaries, nor does it hold allegiance to the red white and blue, but to the almighty green dollar. God help us all!
Rather than send the fraudulent CEO's and upper management to a cushy white collar prison, they should be stripped of all assets (sorry family) and forced to work 5 to 10 years at minimum wage. They might learn the true value of a dollar and it would send a strong message to other leaders. We as Americans alos have to quit expecting double-digit increases in company profits every year.
How is this not domestic and, soon-to-be, international economic terrorism? They are traitors to our country and are only loyal to the almighty dollar. Pitchforks and torches my brothers.
Trust No Man Living With Power To Endanger The Public Liberty. - John Adams
take everything they own and prison-prison-prison
take everything they have and give them prison for 10 years
Pure and simple these CEO's are no different from the thug that holds up a 7/11. To be rewarded for incompetance, and outright fraud can only happen in America. We are fast becoming a Banana Republic where corruption is not only tolerated but admired by it's peers.

It would also be an example to make other unethical and corrupt officials think twice.
You never become that rich because of your work.. You either inherit it or steal it ! All these CEO belong in Jail and all their assets should seized ! Period.
prison and lose everything they own-prison,prison,prison

Oh they sleep good.. They have Parties, dinners, steak, and all kinds of stuff with our money. The question is.. how do Americans continue to agree with the Governments decisions? It's not just time for change, it's time for some serious butt kickin. All these commericals say Ohh.. It's time for change. Blah blah.. Who gives a crap those people you vote for don't need anyones votes they already won.. They have a $200,000 dollar spot on national TV. Tired of listening to Obama and McCain Cry.. Put someone on with no money, and a real american with a real 9-5 job. Break his hands if he steals.
i think they should lose all there money and property and anything they own and get prison time
This is a sad day for America! The CEO's makeand walk away with what the boards of the companys have allowed them to to. The board members are wealthy and they look out for own. The SEC could and should be more deligent with oversight of Wall Srteet operations and this has not occured. The SEC has now closed a few of the barn doors that investors have complained about for years such as Shorting and even worse the practice of Naked Short Selling. Needless to say this is all hind sight . The small investor that invests in stocks they feel like will help to inhance our lives at present do not stand a chance of seeing it happen because of the afore mentioned practices of the" Market Makers". Blame it all on the humane nature called "GREED"
Amen but you can forget about America waking up. This is the economic shock and awe consequences of failed government (I vote libertarian and proud to say I never helped elect any of the bozos), dumbing down, 30+ years of living beyond our means, and mischief wars. Me, I own my home in Hawaii, have zero debt, a couple of mil in cash, a $2M small business that generates 30% profit, and I'm retiring this year at 59 and planning to sit back and observe the bon-fire of what once was a great nation. Sadly, America has the government and situation it deserves.
I think that each of these men should have to give every penny the own to the government so they can put the money where it should go and they should get 10 years in prison
Blood money......How do these maggots sleep at night?

What if any in my opinion is the difference between these CEO folks and those of Enron? These folks are just as fraudulent. Buying and selling any stocks or assets that are artificially inflated based on true value is a fraud, period. Buying on margin of the twenties is no different than the last ten years of housing balloon. One making forty thousand a year being allowed to obtain a mortgage that is impossible to maintain is no different than that of the early twenties buying stock with no true means or assets. Giving these so called leaders millions, to leave their positions, with no accountability is a tragedy.
I would like to place the current situation in the following perspective; it is a 400 trillion dollar fire that is getting billion dollar buckets thrown at it hoping the winds do not pick up.
The ride is going to get a lot worse, hang on, as the housing prices normalize so will our life styles just as negative as the false inflated values.
Pretty soon the American dollar will be the hottest commodity on the planet- toilet paper.
