      same thing that was going on 50 years ago - on self-righteous group of people disenfranchising and shunning roughly 10% of the population based on an arbitrary definition from a religious beliefs. Only now more people are talking about it, and we have the internet to watch the spectacle.

    Homosexuality goes back to the begining of time? I'm pretty sure it was Adam and Eve God created NOT Adam and Steve? Besides if the "begining of time" is your justification, then I guess the fact that Cain murdered Abel, the FIRST brothers around the begining of time, I guess you either presume God created murder too or at least condones it? As to your animal - human comparison, if the fact that animals do it and that makes it natural and acceptable, I guess if human fathers strarted eating their young like many animals do, that would be okay too?

    Everyone is so concerned as to whether being gay is a sin, which it is in the BIble, . ..but so is lying, lustful thoughts, jealousy ,etc. God doesn't see one sin as any better or worse than another. If we are a glass of water and dirt is sin, would you want the water if one teaspoon or a whole cup of dirt was added? No, its all dirty . . .and God sees all sin like that. It is Christ's sacrifice that saves us all. He is our saving grace. Lets all love each other as Christ loves us . . .

    I disagree. Why should any gay's get any special gifts from the government. I must deal with life as it is handed me, I must go through my own trials and problems, alone, so what makes any of you so special. You don't deserve any more than me. And the creator of all life made rules, natural ones, had them written down, and said that they are not to be added to or taken from. You must endure life by your choices just as we all do.

      No one is asking for a "gift" here.
      Just equal treatment. You know, like everyone else. Like you. Like me (yes, I'm "straight"). It's fulfilling basic human needs for people who may not have a support system because of the stigma attached for so long.
      I truly don't understand what the problem is here.

    It's about equal rights, equal healthcare, benefits, grants, etc.

    Why not? That's where this will go eventually then all three wives will want benefits, healthcare, etc. How about beastiality or lowering the legal age for marriage to 12?

If Gay is a choice it is 100% as valid a choice as fundamentalist Christianity. The difference is you religious people are so intolerant that you cant see the forest for the trees. I personally base by world view on the fact this is the 21st century. If you want to believe that all the answers come out of some dirty scroll you dug out of the sand that is 3000 years out of date, I say go for it, but that sounds moire like a Dungeons and Dragons game to me, not something I would base a modern life on.

      Thank you for sharing your ill-informed, unitelligent, close-minded and intolerant view of how you feel about the Bible and the people of the Book. You really should read up on a topic before you begin some rationalistic and emotion based screed about a topic or group of people. Jesus loves you but he won't tolerate your unbelief.           My apologies for offending you. Be careful who you "damn" or who you "condemn." I suppose you are implying that I am not really a Christian or am a narrow-minded bigot. I would suggest that you are wrong. You don't even know me. You don't know anything about me or my background or the fact that I have a Masters Degree in Biblical Studies and Theology from one of the most highly-respected seminaries in the world? All I was doing was pointing out to shortjames that his argumentation was very poorly thought out and is based upon relevance rather than fact.
