The Next Bailout: Detroit

I want to know who will bail me out of my debt and loans? do I have any takers, Didn't think so. Why don't the executives take a pay cut if they are so concerned about it? NOT. Those 3 auto makers may have to cut back just like the rest of us.

Sorry! Detroit big wigs have thumbed their noses at the idea of "Country First" for too long. Let them eat cake - and without any golden parachutes! IF they had even TRIED, I do not doubt that the average MPG for US autos would be 2 or 3 times greater than it is today.

NO government money should go to bail out US automakers. If these companies had been building decent cars for the past twenty five years, I would agree to assistance. The Big Three have been building junk for years, letting foreigh automakers make advances that should have been made here in the US. Detroit has been arrogant, uncaring about American car owners, never thinking that people would ever stop buying Detroit products. Detroit lost the ball years ago. Yes, reccently Detroit has improved its product, but too late to hang on to American auto buyers. Now, they are asking for a bailout!!!! Not on my dime!!

It isnt gov money, its OUR TAX DOLLARS we havent even paid yet that is being used to bail these companies out.
OUR MONEY, trillions of it.

And we havent even started paying back the money for the ILLEGAL HOAX TERRORIST WARS.

they are looting us to the last dollar to give to companies that have assets. FORD owns the DETROIT LIONS, why dont they sell their stuff to bail themselves out, we are forced to sell to pawn comapnies our possesions, so why dont they sell theirs?

For years the Big Three have been playing by the rules that gas mileage is of no concern, and have subsequently been peddling their Hummers and 3/4 ton pickup trucks to us. How long have we known about the all too real possibilities of a debilitating gas crisis? Researchers and activists have been pleading with the automakers to reform their habits, and it is evident that those cries have fallen upon Detroit's noise cancelling interiors. This choice to ignore the words of the wise has come to nip the Big Three in the ass, and their refusals to change for the better must be punished. If they are given this bailoit, what will change? We are in a critical period in which we need immediate, drastic, and innovative change. History is all to kind in providing evidence that these traditional, longstanding companies cannot provide the initiative for change. Perhaps it is best to put the suffering dog down.

It is obvious that Senator Shelby also believes in outsourcing American jobs. Isn't it better to to use this as a carrot on a stick to bring the big three into reality with the rest of the world automakers and save jobs? Maybe he would prefer to build automobile plants in Iraq.

The big three didn't think anything about this 5 or 8 years ago when they were putting out big trucks and suv's by the ton. No way they should get goverment money. Let them loss there money and jobs like the rest of us.
If you give them loans to bail them out what about the construction companies and so on. They are all in with big oil anyway. They all own offshore companies and they didn't beat a lick sending our jobs overseas.
What about helping out american companies, that don't outsoucre jobs.

Yea isnt it ironic, the big 23 car companies dont give us any jobs anymore for manufacturing but want our money.

The gov needs us more than we need them.

Maybe its time to say no and force them to use the army against us like they have written they want to do in their northcomm documents.

This industry has been pumping out gas guzzlers for decades..I don;t think I want them to tank but you built these cars, you spent billions of dollars in adveritising these things, and who knows how many more millions to lobby to keep mileage requirments low, and now they are hurting.

Ok bail them out - but if it is business as usual - forget it let them tank.

All these bailouts are criminal, we want indictments and arrests and we the people shouldnt even pay taxes if this is how they are used to bailout failing companies after they pay CEO's millions in severance and bonuses.

Bear stearns CEO got their bonuses of billions of dollars then went belly up and then tax dollars bail them out and we get ROBBED and should be given public stock holdings for the companies since its our cash they are getting.
Maybe the people will learn from this that the gov is criminal, 911 was an inside job and the IMF and WORLD BANK documents 10 years ago say this is what they were gunna do, now its happening and we told you so 10 years ago and 80% of the people still think its a conspiracy when their own documents say thats what they wanted to do.
