"as tensions mounted between Russia and Georgia, the Georgian President, Mikhei Saakashvili reminded Putin that Georgia had statements of support from the United States and Western Europe. Putin told with anatomical precision where he should stick those statements"
Uh ? It seems Putin was right...

hey streetwise, or wise guy, or whoever or whatever you you are there! Perhaps your psychopath Putin was right when he killed those 21 journalists as well?

Comment: Do you know, there was the director of russian edition of Forbes, Paul Klebnikov, and he had the unhappy idea to write a book, but not about Putin: about Berezowsky (the book was something like "The Kremlin Godfather") . A very instructive book oth te life and carrier of a very important man of the "democratic" years of Eltsin (and an enemy of the "psicopat" Putin, of course) . Well, that jounalist has been killed in Moscow, in 2004, and Berezovsky is still under political shelter in London . And many other journalists killed in the Putin era had nothing to do with Putin all the same...It's a wild world, you know...There are MANY men with a gun over there, and not all ask permission from Putin, before to shoot someone...

For ???Dead Soul,??? by Masha Gessen, Vanity Fair, October 2008 a Russian native who has also lived in the U.S., takes a chilling look at Vladimir Putin which will put shadowy past of the prime minister in startling and ruthless light. Shortly before this issue hit newsstands, Gessen has left Russia, where she has lived and worked for the past 14 years???and where 21 journalists have been murdered in the past 8 years???to teach for a year at Harvard. Once you???ve read the piece, you will know why this is such a well-timed move.

Well, Sakashvili got message that russian troops are attacking georgian village in South Ossetia . And what has he done ? Moved his troops to the georgian villages ? NO ! Sent his aviation against the invading troops ? NO ! He attack TZKINVALI at 11 PM with rocket klaunchers and artillery saturation fire, send aviation do pour cluster bpmbs near the tunnel between north and south ossetia (whrere there was NO russian force at that moment) AND attack PEACEKEEPERS who were NOT harming any georgian villages . Does it sounds LOGIC to you ?

Why is the west hailing Georgia as democracy when even the USA is not a democracy! The presidential election is a lobbyists affair, it has nothing to do with democracy stupid!

No, dummy! Russians went to Georgia early morning on August 7 and started burning and bombing Georgian populated villages. Georgian president tried to call the Russian president duo (Putin and mini-Putin) and their defense (actually it should be called OFFENSE) minister but they did not answer. Then he called Russian foreign minister, who said that he did not have any idea about the bombings. Georgian president found out further details from Georgian intelligence that these forces were indeed Russian Special Forces (that conducted brutal military operation in Chechnya and which killed over 200,000 civilian Chechens there during the two wars). Well, country was under a heavy military attack and Georgian forces entered the region to defend its own territory from invaders. Actually, if you are interested in these issues, second evidence will be released soon.

"The war operations are supposed to start in the period between August 20 and September 10, 2008."
So Sakashvili gave Russians a reason to do it BEFORE ? Very kind...
"The beginning of the war will be preceded by the increase in the intensity and the number of clashes between Abkhazians and Georgians, and a series of provocations (terrorist acts) involving human casualties on the territory of Abkhazia as well as on the territory of Russia. According to one of the scenarios, a large-scale terrorist act is supposed to take place in Sochi, which Georgian secret services will be blamed for."
    WAT'S happened in Sochi ?

MOSCOW ORCHESTRATES WAR SCARE IN SOUTH OSSETIA
    Vladimir Socor
    AUGUST 4, 2008. Source: http://jamestown.org/edm/article.php?volume_id=427&issue_id=4579&article_id=237328
Since July 31, Russian state television channels have been airing inflammatory stories about Georgian forces firing on South Ossetia???s administrative center Tskhinvali, inflicting civilian casualties and causing a refugee exodus to North Ossetia. The allegations are not verified by any independent source nor can they be, given Russia???s exclusion of any meaningful international monitoring in South Ossetia, disabling the OSCE and precluding Georgian air surveillance. Moscow???s propaganda wave closely resembles previous ones in the continuing political warfare against Georgia. For their part, leaders in Tskhinvali threaten to escalate the hostilities deeper inside Georgian territory, using ???their own forces,??? that is, a proxy war. ???We will force [the Georgians] out from the conflict zone ourselves. I state once again that we have the necessary troops and equipment to do this,??? the South Ossetian ???president??? Eduard Kokoity warned. The Russian-delegated ???prime minister??? and ???security council secretary??? of South Ossetia, Yuriy Morozov and Anatoly Barankevich, appeared on Russian television channels with lurid stories that Georgians had killed six South Ossetian civilians and wounded twice as many and that South Ossetian troops had in turn killed 29 Georgian soldiers. They also alleged that Georgians were forcing a mass exodus of children and women from South Ossetia to North Ossetia. These officials also threatened to take the hostilities deeper inside Georgia, with ostensibly South Ossetian forces??? Moscow has every interest in fostering a brink-of-war atmosphere. Having pressured Georgia heavily in Abkhazia in recent months while allowing a temporary lull in South Ossetia, Russia is now shifting the pressure onto this front. As in previous years, Moscow deems the month of August propitious for staging military incidents in Georgia, while European officials take their vacations. This year, however, may differ from previous ones in that Russian and proxy forces could stage the seasonal clashes both in Abkhazia and in South Ossetia, and possibly with a higher intensity. Russia???s recent moves in Abkhazia had suggested that an incursion into the upper Kodori valley could be expected in mid-August. This remains a distinct possibility and may be accompanied by an incident in South Ossetia, ostensibly ???in response??? to Georgian ???provocations??? there, on the ???evidence??? of Russian state media. Moscow is now forcing Tbilisi to guess which option it is considering using: escalation in both areas, or a main action in one of them and a side show in the other.

Moscow to launch war operations against Georgia in late August
    Publication time: 5 July 2008, 09:20, Source: http://kavkazcenter.com/eng/content/2008/07/05/9984.shtml

Sources of the Caucasus Emirate intelligence services reported that intense preparation for a war has been underway on all levels for the past several months. Bringing Russian railroad troops to Abkhazi

Operative information points at the fact that the main objective of the war operation is to seize the Kodori Gorge and to optimally weaken Saakashvili's regime or to overthrow Georgian President Saakashvili.

If the political and military situation during the war operation to seize the Kodori Gorge is successful for Russia, then the plan implies that the war operations get spread across the entire territory of Georgia involving total destabilization of the situation all across the country and de facto disintegration of Georgia.

The war operations are supposed to start in the period between August 20 and September 10, 2008. The beginning of the war will be preceded by the increase in the intensity and the number of clashes between Abkhazians and Georgians, and a series of provocations (terrorist acts) involving human casualties on the territory of Abkhazia as well as on the territory of Russia.

According to one of the scenarios, a large-scale terrorist act is supposed to take place in Sochi, which Georgian secret services will be blamed for.

The operation will have the nature of blitzkrieg. Offensive operations involving forcing the Georgian troops out of the Kodori Gorge (Upper Abkhazia) are supposed to be completed within 7 to 10 days since the start of the operation.

Aerial strikes on Kutaisi and Tbilisi have been planned. Shock troops of Abkhazian (Russian) forces will start advancing towards Kutaisi. In case Georgians put up weak resistance, the city of Kutaisi will be taken. The objective is to create the conditions for further political bargaining with Georgian central government in Tbilisi.

According to Moscow's plan, once Kodori is seized, the war operations are supposed to be launched in the Tskhinvali direction (South Ossetia) in order to force the Georgian troops as well as Georgian population out of the region.

Sources in the Caucasus intelligence service point out that Moscow has used its operative channels to make a deliberate information leak for Washington about the inevitable military operation against Tbilisi.

Dear Luba, "as tensions mounted between Russia and Georgia, the Georgian President, Mikhei Saakashvili reminded Putin that Georgia had statements of support from the United States and Western Europe. Putin told with anatomical precision where he should stick those statements", by Masha Gassen, Dead Soul, Vanity Fair, October 2008. So, is this your most westernized politician?

The arrogance and hypocrisy will ruin UK and America! I lived 10 years in Israel (at me the Israeli citizenship) and as thousand left for Israel in 1991 - in 1998 I have returned to Russia, to Moscow! Last ten years I live in Moscow. I having visited many countries, would tell so: Russia - NEW, Russia-HAS changed, and the USA and UK- have remained in 80th years!" Cold war " and propagation against Russia NEVER came to an end and it is the fact, many clever people in Israel and all over the world understand it! As soon as Russia became weak in 90 ??? America, UK and the West as a whole at once have started to use this weakness in the purposes: to expand NATO, to finance the footmen Yuschenko, Saakashvili, to create military bases in the Europe and in Asia, to conduct the antiRussian propagation in all directions! America always considered strong Russia and considers as threat of the hegemony, to the sovereignty! I, as well as many my Israeli friends we consider, that America has made a historical mistake when in 90 has started to support drunkard Yeltsin and to help it to plunder Russia when has started to cover thieves and gangsters who plundered Russian people, to use weakness of Russia, to finance tyrants in Georgia and Ukraine, naming their democrats! America in the future will very dearly pay for this mistake, since for 95 % of Russians today, America is an enemy! Putin is the most westernized politician from possible for today in Russia, but to vegetables of cold war, such as Bush it to not understand, they live still a policy 80! In Russia all people considers, that on expansion of NATO it is necessary to return bases to Cuba, necessary to build new nuclear rockets, the ships, to distribute the Russian-Chinese influence by the same ways as it is done by America! Why it "is possible" for America, and Russia, or still someone "IS impossible" for China, Iran, Canada??? Really you think, what writing down every year all the new and new countries in " an axis of a harm " America remains the influential country? America harms to Russia in economy where can, for example, agitates to build oil pipelines and gas mains around of Russia... And as you look at if China or Russia will finance and will change a mode in Mexico (which has come to power very doubtful by!) also will start with Mexico to sell oil " around of America "? The world has changed! If America and UK wants, that with it respected - IT SHOULD RESPECT with OTHERS, Including Russia!

Moscow has hired powerful PR companies to paint Georgia in black and this article represents another example of a cheap Russian propaganda. Russia planned to overthrow democratically elected Georgian government in November 2007. They used its spies in Georgian opposition and utilized TV station owned by a thug, well connected with Putin and his gang. Since this method did not work the Kremlin decided to conduct a carefully prepared military operation in last month. But question is - who is the winner here?

    Ans do the winner is...
