McCain Top Economic Adviser: [McCain Will Raise Taxes]

"Whether you're a Republican, Democrat President or a Martian, Taxes will be Raised"

Though Mccain has said Throughout his campaign

"I will Not, Raise Your Taxes"

His Top Economic Adviser says that a LIE....

Obama will Raise Taxes on those that make More than 250,000...

The 250,000 per year and Under, will have a Tax Break and Tax Cut.

    ------------------------------------------

Douglas Holtz-Eakin, a former Director of the Congressional Budget Office and current chief McCain economic advisor, is an honest man--which means he's something of a liability on the Straight Talk Express. A few months ago, he admitted to my colleague, Michael Scherer, that Barack Obama's economic plan would reduce taxes for most people.

And now, in a forthcoming book by Fortune columnist Matt Miller, he makes it clear that the next President is going to have to raise taxes.

"If you do nothing on the spending side, you're going to have to RAISE TAXES whether you're a Republican, a Democrat or a Martian," he tells Miller...and then he immediately makes it clear that the "spending side" part of the argument is nothing more than a ...............

    "POLITICAL FIG LEAF".

    --------------------------------------------------------

YOU REPUBLICANS ARE SUCH GULLIBLE FOOLS...MCCAIN WILL RAISE YOUR TAXES...PERIOD

    TAXES WILL BE RAISED...PERIOD...

INFLATION, ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, OVER POPULATION, LEADS TO MORE [TAXATION] !!!

    DAMN !!!

Saashkavilli Made a Serous Blunder, If he were going to Attack and help Semi-Senile John Mccain, he would've been WISE to doit on Oct.31st just before the ELECTIOn...

But Hot Headed Oppourtunist SaashakaVilli Spoiled that Badly Laid Plan and Oh by the Way....

NATO membership is O-U-T OF THE QUESTION !!!
Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili's leadership in the war with Russia has sparked both Praise and Scorn.

His supporters describe his actions as courageous while detractors say he used catastrophically bad judgment. The American-trained lawyer has enjoyed strong U.S. support but may have ignored Bush administration warnings when he tried to recapture the separatist enclave of South Ossetia.

Saakashvili, now 40, won the presidency of Georgia in 2004 on a platform that stressed regaining control of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, two regions that have been under the control of ethnic separatists since the early 1990s. The separatists had the support of Russia, which has provided them with aid and troops who were part of a peacekeeping mission.

    Condoleeza Rice Provided Warnings......

BIG NOTE: Saakashvili had American support, reinforced by a visit to Tbilisi in July from Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. The visit came at a time of rising tension between Georgia and Russia, and Rice took a tough stand, saying Russia had to be part of resolving the problem "and not contributing to it." Bush administration officials recently told The Washington Post that Rice privately counseled Saakashvili not to use force in his efforts to regain the separatist areas.

The Coward did it, in the middle of the Night, Unprovoked and his Cronies paid the Damn Price.

All you so called [Georgian Sympathizers] take your A!!es over to that E. European Hell Hole, along with those [[War Mongering Low Lifes] and Enlist in their Cause.

Because Only John "We're All Georgians Now" McCain and Sashkavilli feel you should...

Call me, when Russia tries in Invade the Souhern State of [Georgia]

Like Ron Paul said, we should stay out of Other Countries Affairs and leave them alone !!!

Or we can Expect the [1st Nuclear World War] in our Lifetime and Noone will [Win] that War and Millions will Suffer...

That Mad Man [Sashkavilli] should be Dethroned and Semi-Senile John McCain, should never be President...Period

Many of you miss the point. McCain has diplomatic relations...Obama does not. Many times it helps in diplomacy to have a relationship with leaders in other countries. Furthermore, I do not think McCain is a war - monger...you all need to have your heads checked and stop painting him in the light you hope to scare others with. Now who is using scare tactics. I have not doubts that McCain will look at both sides and make a rational choice...the fact that he has relationships only makes that easier...and lets not fooll anyone Russia is looking for a fight...or are we supposed to roll over and cave into their demands simply because we do not want to upset anyone...Peace at any cost will end this country...but then I do not believe in ignoring a crime that you see happening just to pacify the criminal.

Yeh, go ahead and watch how Russia attacks the USA at its national interests in the Eastern Europe, Caspian region and Central Asia, gathers its military presence in Caribbean, supplies guns to drug lords in South America, thereby destabilizes our immediate southern neighbor and assists them in bringing coke and heroin here to demoralize our young generation, penetrates into the US and European political circles, funds so-called political scientists as are Simes, Gvozdev, etc, infuses millions of dollars to Quebec independence movement. Is this what you guys want? Are you for destruction of our great country? Are you supporting the Putin-Medvedev scheme of containment of the USA? All these can be prevented only by experienced leader. Therefore, McCain is correct in standing against reemerged Evil???s Empire, in loving Misha, in supporting territorial integrity and independence of Georgia and Ukraine.

We won't have to worry about what we want for our future or our children's; with MCWAR as prez, we will be in WWIII before you can count to ten, whether it be with Russia, China, North Korea, or Iran and there will be no future!!! Anyone who votes for MCShame, is just as bad as he, A WAR MONGER!!!!!

    • Posted By: Braes @ 09/22/2008 10:41:34 AM

Yes, all of these things can happen as a result of more McBush. Sticking missiles into ivan like suppositories has repercussions. Ignoring Russia and calling Putin names like Rice has done has consequences.
The neo-con mindset is a failure.

A lot of people seem to believe that foreign policy is black and white. Well it???s not. There is quite a lot of gray area and sometimes difficult decisions are not always going to met by enthusiastic responses. While I believe at some point Georgia should be accepted into NATO I also believe we cannot be dragged into a war with Russia because President Saakashvilli becomes impulsive to attack breakaway provinces where issues of independence have been ongoing for decades. How much diplomacy has Georgia undertaken to address this matter over the years? Did they involve any other countries or the UN (not that they really have a lot of power). If the US and Europe could have amassed such diplomacy to end this battle why didn't we attempt this before or were we even asked by Georgia for help. Lets understand that Russia was looking for a fight and by this I mean they needed a way to show the world that they were a power, both politically and Militarily, to be reckoned with and wanted to reassert themselves in the international community. Of course, an army of one million against an army of less than fifty thousand is not a fight but a slaughter. Russia cannot even get the Asian nations that it has pacts with, including China to agree with their actions. McCain or Obama, whom ever is elected, needs to have a clear non partisan foreign policy team. McCain may be friends with Saakashvilli but sometimes it???s a friend???s job to tell you when you???re wrong .

Wow, I am honored to be around all these well versed international policy and strategy specialists. Amazing how you all collect here on Newsweek message boards! Who would have thought you had the time, what with running small countries, territories, being part of diplomatic endevors, living in one of these countries and being priviledged to know the conversations and intent of the upper ranking politicians and rulers.

Oh wait...what? That isn't what you do? You have some office job? You are basing your knowledge on...what...a magazine article?

    Oh, I see.

I like this one the best: ???Straight out of the gate, Saakashvili fired 80,000 state employees, including 90 percent of the old KGB-trained security force???.And bypassing Georgia's old ruling class, Misha filled his cabinet with young, Western-educated former NGO staffers???

Ahh,.. in other words he substituted the ???old KGB-trained security force??? with the new CIA trained one. The fact that the latter were ???young??? does not really change things.

    Friendly reminder...
Don't take "news" articles at face value, rather take them as the starting point for your own research.

Dig a little deeper, find out what this raided Imedi TV was airing, who it's backers were. then consider why this was not disclosed in this article.

Americans are not stupid, maybe lazy, but not stupid.

    Dig for the details.

War is undoubtedly on the way to our shores. It is a sad fact that much of the world is ugly and hard and cruel. What we need...what we cannot afford to live WITHOUT is a "pick up your gun, let's go hang'em attitude." The enemies of Liberty HAVE ALREADY PICKED UP THEIR GUNS AND ARE ON THE WAY TO HANG US. This liberal, leftist, weak-willed protester mentality will not hold water up against the men of Asia and the Middle-east. Blood, Strength and Bullets are the language of these men.We should become fluent, as well...

This article is just another "war monger" scare tactic to levy votes away from McCain. Newsweak, you can do better than that, can't you?

    • Posted By: Braes @ 09/22/2008 10:47:34 AM

McMonkey's top foreign policy guy is a paid foreign agent for Georgia. That's not scare, it's selling out America.

I can't help but wonder whether the Georgia-Russia dust-up is a contest in mutual micturition.

  • Posted By: Omnius @ 09/22/2008 10:19:20 AM

We all know that "Warmonger" McCain gave Saakashvili the go ahead to start a dust up in Georgia just so the old warmonger could gain a political advantage for the election. We can't afford to let the warmonger get into the White House where he will inflame the Cold War into a hot one with Russia. With Russia supplying most of Europe's oil and natural gas Europe will abandon the USA real quick if push comes to shove. We should have been getting Russia into NATO but "Warmonger" Bush wanted to push them away so he could have a new Cold War for political advantage.

Of course Mccain loves Misha. Its called building allies in crutial regions of the world. Put some lipstick on Misha and he looks like an adorable chihuahua with lipstick. And that just makes me love him too.....Go Misha! Go Georgia!

I understand that it is important to help and support others. But, this is one of the reasons I am most put off by McCain and his running mate. The United States at this time does not have the man power to assist in another war. This would also start a war with Russia, which NO ONE WANTS and which would be a very horrible thing,we don't even want a cold war with Russia ( i.e. Sarah's remarks to Churlie).. McCain is a man of passion -- that's good, but not when his temper turns at every remark or hint of an allies thinking. We must learn to get along with people all people and only when in the face of absolute necessity should we even use the word "force"..... We are interested in Georgia because of one reason ... OIL. and hence so is Russia.
We cannot afford this " pick up you gun and let's go hang um attitude". This is a dangerous bond that could lead us into yet another conflict.
You know it's easy to send people into war, especially when it's not you kids.

John McCain says "We are all Georgians." But I am an American, not a Georgian. I want a President who is American, and works to protect America. I want a President who doesn't play lapdog for foreign lobbyists. America has no interest in the Georgia-Ossetia-Russia brou-ha-ha except a humane interest in minimizing the number of people killed anf injured. McCain's declaration that "We are all Georgians" should concern every American. McCain has a record of naively accepting the arguments of lobbyists, including foreign lobbyists (from Taiwan, Poland, Lithuania, the Likud faction in Israel, plus Georgia) who work against American interests. All Americans should ask: will McCain work for my interest, or for foreign interests, as President? His foolish statements about Georgia are a clear warning to those of us who still prefer to be called Americans.

Palin religiously believes that these are the "end times." So she is okay with American or the world being distroyed, because Christians will go to heaven.

Obviously, Palin will not keep us safe from terrorism. Think this over.

The US shouldn't be sticking its neck out for some small country that offers little in return.

  • Posted By: Florida Rez @ 09/21/2008 11:52:19 PM

Looks like the son of Democrat in the Tennessee state legislature was a part of Palin's e-mail being hacked (a felony, btw.) Coincidence that it just happened to come from a congressman's family? I think not. How many times does Obama have to be linked to criminal activity before people start looking seriously his past and his connections?

    • Posted By: muffinb @ 09/22/2008 8:44:34 AM

And this is connected to Obama how??????????????????????????? Just because it's the son of a Tennessee congressman?? Give me a brea.
