A superb statement - how good it would be if every one of the 535 members of the US congress had read it and decided to act on its wisdom. How many lives that would save, not to mention dollars. What do we have to do in this country to get our elected representatives - in the executive as well as legislative branch - to base their decision-making on perceptions such as those we are offered here? I wish I knew.

Mr. Fareed Zakaria, can you tell me one true democracy? The US presidential election is NOT democracy. It is lobbyists affair! How successful the campaign together with the financial works in brain washing the public, swaying public opinions, manipulating the news and so on will determine the results of the election. It is a farce and fallacy! The Jewish Lobby is the one most influential, so tell me is this democracy?
