Let me take a SWAG. The writer is a NE liberal homosexual. I have not seen such sophmoric bleating since the days of Clarence Thomas. Mr. Harris, let me give you a clue. You are out of touch with a goodly portion of the population of America.

Wow another hit piece on Sarah Palin. Don't you guys get tired of writing these?

What an arrogant, snobbish piece of work. Only the "right kind of people" in Mr. Harris' opinion need apply. They apparently are the only ones with wisdom and intelligence. It does not seem to cross his mind that Senator Obama has no executive qualifications to speak of and that his history of radical politics and bolshevik-style militancy (by association when not practiced directly) might be highly unnerving to a large segment of the population. Governor Palin may be a heartbeat away from the presidency, but Senator Obama would be the actual heartbeat if elected. It may surprise Mr. Harris and some of the commentators below, but not all Ivy League educated individuals have a higher IQ or greater wisdom than a graduate of U. Idaho. As an Ivy League graduate, I feel qualified to say that. I also note that no one seems to credit George W. Bush with his two Ivy League degrees when they're busy calling him a dunce..

Great argument about the need to address the very real concerns of the present not to mention the future and the absolute necessity of electing someone with the proven experience to do that. Such a convincing argument that I've now decided that I can't risk voting for someone as unexperienced and unproven as Barack Obama. In fact, I will take the risk that Palin never becomes President and more or less goes the way of a Dan Quayle rather than vote for Obama. Voting for Obama guarantees that our leader, although well educated, and articulate with or without a teleprompter--will come into office untested and unqualified. The experience argument is convincing--against both Palin and Obama--and this argument leaves me with the only real choice, being McCain.

Why must people always jump to these crazy conclusions? There is no Me vs You, no Us vs. Them, no Christian vs. Muslim (which by the way is what the people mean by "of faith" crap.) Claiming Obama has nothing is basically the same as McCain has nothing, the same as Hillary Clinton having nothing, and the same as Mitt Romney having nothing. These arguments are a joke. Go look up what each candidate intends and learn about htem before making up these pathetic jokes. We should want somebody smarter, not somebody dumber.

He's like any number of people -- he forgives the foibles of those he likes and damns those of folks he doesn't like. Sam Harris wrote a good article. There sure is a lot of drivil and Republican propoganda in these comments, though. It's not worth trying to respond to any one of the anti-Obama attacks that are misinformed and innaccurate. But as to Sara Palin: well, look, she's not the first governor by far who was barely competent, vengeful, did not understand governent was dishonest. Take Spiro Agnew as an example. He resigned.

You are a moron. What a wreckless piece of journalism. What are you so afraid of sir? You obviously would never write an article about questioning Obama's past or present faith or the fact he is an Arab American and not an African American. Or the fact he was taught the Muslim faith as a young boy..... You disgust me. Your thought process for supporting this subject matter and not considering the obvious problems coming from Obama's past shows your are just ignorant.

More of the same elitist liberal nonsense we come to expect from Obamaweek. Some questions to ask; how did she win re-election as Mayor a couple of times? How did she win the governorship by beating an incumbent governor in a primary? How did she defeat a popular former democratic governor for the govenorship? How has she secured a 80% popularity rating? I'm still trying to figure out what Obama has achieved as an elected official. Can someone please point out one decision that he has made that improved citizens lives.

Unfortunately, Obama has never held an elected office were a decision he makes affects people???s lives. And he wants to be President? Now that is truly scary.

Obama should go back to Illinois and run for governor so he can have a record of achievement that matches Sarah Plain???s. Then he will be ready to run for President.

Mr. harris. You simply not only don't "get it", you , in your arrogance, never will. Snobbery, elitism, arrogance, "superior" phony intelectualism, ad on nauseum. I've seen highly educated men and women brought to their knees when they simply couldn't figure out certain circumstances. What nerve you have to simply dismiss Sarah palin, as a commoner. I assume, you mean "blue collar" citizen? And in certain circles this means little or no "education." Talk about looking down one's nose -whew. Since when was religion a bad word? I can accept your atheism; how about giving some slack to those of us who give a little credit to a higher power? Go Sarah! I'm behind her all the way, and it's not only because she professes a Christian belief.

Any analysis of Sarah Palin's experience does nothing but highlight the deficiencies in Obama's record. Contrast work as a "community organizer" with a staff of 12 and a budget of $300,000 and the Governorship of Alaska with a staff of 1,500 and a budget of $11 Billion. Maybe Mr. Harris' "education" failed to include mathematics.

We already know that it failed any lesson in humility.
