When Atheists Attack

OK so you hooked me with the headline "When Atheist Attack", which I thought would be expose an atheist. I am a Christian. 90% of Americans are Christians. And you and Newsweek consider it OK to attack the majority of Americans. The more the media, using flunkies like you, attack Sarah Palin and Christians, the more you unite all of us to vote Republican in this coming election.

As an Independent I had not made up my mind as to who I would be voting for. You have made my decision very easy. I now know that I must vote Republican come what may. You locked my vote in. Thank you for helping me decide. As I read your article I started to write my feedback which is:

You are a fool... we have been getting bad weather and there are many wars going on right now. Isn't that a sign of the end of an era and the beginning of a new one? Aren't those signs of the end times?

How do you justify your "intelligence" when you label Methodist as non-Christians? This makes you a bigger fool than I thought. When you attack religion and especially Sarah's faith you show yourself to be an ignaramus. She was not brought up as a Pentecostal... she converted to it in her teen years. So in essence you are saying "If a person is a Christian that person is not qualified to be a leader". But, how about Obama? Isn't he claiming to be a Christian, not a Muslim? How does he qualify?

Then you consider it fair game to attack Sarah's daughter while you attack her. You are the scum of the earth.

As see that you consider the "elites" the saviour of mankind. The "elites" where born with a silver spoon in their mouth and have been sheltered, from birth, from the realities of life. You must consider yourself to be one of those "elites" who supposely have all the answers.

Sarah Palin definitely is not one of those "elites". Who she is and what she has acomplished so far is due to her Christian upbringing in small town America. She is not a Washington "elite". Not one of those that act as if they are gods and pay no attention to what the citizens want. She is just like the average 90% of Americans. Hopefully Americans will vote in groves this fall for the Republican ticket, the party that has allowed such a worthy candidate as Sarah to be included. Yes, you made my vote easy as I read through your biased article I made my choice.

I must correct you that the "elites" we are talking about are those born with a silver spoon in their mouth, not those individuals who have risen to the top of their fields through dedication and hard work. I do want a competent pilot flying my plane. I do not want an "elitist" flying my plane.

Would you publish such a bigoted attack on a candidate's religious views if that candidate were Jewish or Muslim? Of course not, that would be politically incorrect. All Christians believe in baptism by the holy spirit; the water is symbolic? Does the author believe that such belief disqualifies all Christians from holding public office? Will you secular liberals ever understand that when one prays that what one is doind is part of God's plan is an act of humility before God? It is not, as you imply, an arrogant assertion that God is on our side.

Governor Palin's prayer reminds me of that of FDR (a Democrat the last time I checked) on D-Day: "And so, in this poignant hour, I ask you to join with me in prayer. Almighty God: Our sons, pride of our nation, this day have set upon a mighty endeavor, a struggle to preserve our Republic, our religion, and our civilization, and to set free a suffering humanity. Lead them straight and true; give strength to their arms, stoutness to their hearts, steadfastness in their faith. They will need Thy blessings. Their road will be long and hard. For the enemy is strong. He may hurl back our forces. Success may not come with rushing speed, but we shall return again and again; and we know that by Thy grace, and by the righteousness of our cause, our sons will triumph."

Would you publish such an offensive criticism of FDR's prayer. Yes, when pigs (lipstick wearing or not) fly!

Sarah Palin must be doing something right, to draw the mindless drivel the left is spewing. Sam Harris' world view means nothing. Who cares what he thinks? He's wrong on just about every point he makes, he's a liberal. Liberals have been so wrong on so much for so long it's best to just laugh at them. The last political figure who drew such venom from the left was Reagan, so our Sarah is in good company (and she knows it)

Name one thing that is impressive about this woman's family. One thing. Watching them is like watching a 1950s sitcom, but with the veneer torn off and all the ugliness out in the open. I see nothing impressive about this family. Having a pack of kids and then still being vertical with a phony smile does not give you a pass for lack of intellect and the choices you make.

Palin is a governor. Obama is a Senator. Palin is more experienced and has the highest approval rating of any governor in the USA. This beats Obama six ways from Sunday or any other day of the week <PERIOD>
Obama is not even "black"! SO all you "comment" people that are ranting about Palin should check out the ARAB you want for POTUS. Do your own search and don't blame me.for telling the truth.

Obama is 43.75% Arab and 50% white. There is so little "black" in him he can't claim African heritage (6.25%).
Many Arab's were slave traders in Africa and STILL enslave Africans.
Obama seems to identify with "blacks", but that seems politically expedient, not truthful.

Could this be the reason Obama's birth certificate is no where to be found, except a Photoshopped jpg on his web site?
Obama may have been born in Kenya. That would make him ineligible to become POTUS. Kenya sealed the records for Obama's birth date and no other date.
So many of the comments here is how little people know of PALIN! What a laugh! How many know Obama is an Arab? How many know Obama may have been born OUTSIDE the USA?

think it would be easier for folks to understand the word "elite" and its connotations if we were to put it in sports terms. We send our "elite" athletes to the Olympics, not our city league, recreational team players. American voters should think of the presidency as the "Olympics" of leadership. Is it not the highest, most powerful office in the world? Yes, it is, just as the Olympics represent our highest athletic aspirations. Do we want any less than the most educated, most thoughtful, most intellectually agile person to lead our country? No, of course not. Sarah Palin might be a Good Mom or an Average Joe or a Regular Person--but she's not a gold medalist.

Again, Newsweek, NY Times, and NBC proves how liberal it is trying to discredit everything non-liberal.
Instead, try to be a journalist and evaluate what Palin brings to the table, not just spin everything to your biased viewpoint.
Imagine using all that energy you spend in "trying to look fair" while pushing your agenda to actually be objective of the candidates? You liked the Gibson interview because he looked down on her, just like the Geraldine Ferraro attacked by Ted Koppel in 1984.

The real problem is that Mrs. Sarah Palin doesnt even have a proper College Degree. She has swtiched between 5 - 6 different colleges and the maximum she has studied in one college is for 3 semesters. There has been no reason offered for that. This tied up with the fact that McCain passed very badly i.e. ranked 4th from last in his class of 900 suggests they dont either have high regard for education or they are academically challenged.

Facts - Palin left the City of Wasilla with millions of dollars in debt when the City has never been in debt since it was created. Do we need someone like this to handle the economy. It will be Bushonomics all over again.

McCain openly admits he doesnt understand economy.

The next 4 years is going to be more about economy than just about more Wars.

I am ten times more scared of Obama's ignorance of nearly every issue. His ideologies are un-American and frightening. At least Palin's not scared to talk to the media wolves and serpents. Obama's is afraid of townhall meeting debates to answer real questions from real people without a teleprompter.

I am equally frightened by the prospect of having an "average" brain in charge of the most powerful country in the world...(maybe we should revise this notion after all debts to Chinese and Saudi have been reimbursed!)
This is a bad movie, bad karma, bad everything...Is their a way to avoid this catastrophe? If McCain win, he will be so thrilled that he might choke...Boom boom - Here is the lady...Of Lord you cannot be that blind!

Hopefully decent and realistic Christians will reject Sarah Palin and her divide and conquer tactics.

Obama can be excused for Racism, Going to a Muslim School, Associating with criminals, going to a hate spewing church and keeping a Uncle like anti white Pastor in his fold for many years.
He can make shady real estate deals and play the race card over and over. He can run for the Presidency without experience.

Most Aetheists are angainst Christian Beliefs and I think this is why you are afraid of the Alaska Governor / Mrs Palin .
We have also witnessed sentient human beings that will vote vote the Junior Senator, without experience,from Illinois because of his skin color.
