Good article, however, I am a Christian, and I am filled with the Holy Spirit. The Bible does not teach the doctrine of Rapture - what so many Christians have been taught which is error - I can not go into all the details of the many doctrines taught in the church- however that one is popular because it is an escape clause for many Christians. I do believe that because of that belief many Christians want Christ to come back so they can escape the world and it's problems, instead of being an answer to those problems - along with that comes a type of death wish. Many Christians are filled with such hate for "sinners" and their lifestyles they eagerly pray for the return of Christ to past this Hell Fire and Damnation Judgement on the world - this is not true Christianity nor the Loveof God. Look, I am afraid of people like that myself, unfortunately the majority of Western Christianity has embraced this doctrine, it seems. At any rate, Tricky Palin, has fallen far from the character of a Christian - coming out the first night at the GOP bashing man she has never met, she has committed one of the sins called judgment of a person. God says He, Himself will fight against those who judge others. She has told numerous lies - the Bible says that The Father of lies is Satan - and she continues to lie, judge and slander - her fruit is rotten - and it stinks - that is how we are told to judge a matter - by the fruit which it produces - Trooper Gate, Pregnant unmarried child, and numerous other fruit on the branches that I can't get into at this time. If this is a testimony of a good Christian Woman - then I had better repent, throw my Bible out and start looking elsewhere. Palin, you will cause many to stumble because of what you have done.

Comment: The reason why I agree a lot with the author of this article is the fact that myself I discovered with pain that a good majority of the american people value mediocrity and I am wondering what they are going to pass along to their progeny. I remembered people working hard, making sacrifices for their child to have a better education which was synonym of better tomorrow. After all this was part of the american dream. AMERICA WAKE UP

After petitioning the Justice Department for funds, Senator Lois Capps (D-Cal) has expanded the "Liberty Tattoo Removal Program" of San Luis Obispo County. The program will operate in part on $50,000 in federal monies that every U.S. taxpayer pays. This is a sad use for the word "Liberty" and shows just how out of control the idea of entitlement has gone.

You non-religious people really don't have anything to worry about. These so-called spiritual leaders have led the people down the garden path and they and their followers are going to called to account at the end. Their problem is that they keep trying to live under the old testament. That was cancelled by their total disrespect of God and his laws. As God said, those days will never come back. They have no understanding of the new testament, it is merely an illustration of what we as individuals can accomplish. The Lord Jesus Christ is our example, not our God, but those religious leaders continually teach lies. Jesus Christ was a man of flesh and blood imbued with the holy spirit which sought and accepted freely. It is not some special power. Jesus Christ intercedes on behalf with God, explaining what is like to live in flesh and give God some understanding of why we continually fall back. He is not God. The truth is contained in the prophecy of the Revelation. But of course, those religious people keep the population from the truth by stopping at that part about some whore on the back of a beast. They waste our time with allegory instead of getting to the heart of the matter. When you read the Revelation all the way through, it is made clear that all these so-called religions are wrong and while the scriptures only mention the seven major churches -- guess which ones -- all the religions or churches will be called forth and instructed on their wrongdoing and where they fell short. Honestly, when you read the Revelation, you know more so-called "non-believers" will go to heaven before those faithful worshippers. They follow other people, not God and God said so in the Revelation. Also, you don't have to worry about somebody l ike Palin destroying the Earth. God will never allow it, despite what they tell themselves about their beliefs. They have no power, no control, no say so and they can pray from now 'til kingdom come, they will never have any say so over this Earth or God's plan. God, please save us from this religious nonsense.

Interesting article. Now, will Mr. Harris apply the same reasoning line to the other Christian candidate whose church teaches that God is attacking our nation because of what white people have supposedly done? The same line of reasoning applied in this article would be even more damning to Obama.

Bad title... but good substance. I don't want an "every man" president. I want an extraordinary person to lead this extraordinary nation. The president should be smarter and more informed and familiar with world affairs and other cultures than the average ignorant American. I HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME A WRITE-IN CANDIDATE.
HERE IS MY PLATFORM:

(1) 'Press 1 for English' is immediately banned. English is the official language; speak it or wait at the border until you can.

(2) We will immediately go into a two year isolationist posture to straighten out the country's attitude: NO imports, no exports.
We will use the 'Wal-Mart's policy, 'If we ain't got it, you don't need it.'

(3) When imports are allowed, there will be a 100% import tax on it.

(4) All retired military personnel will be required to man one of our many observation towers on the southern border. (six month tour) They will be under strict orders not to fire on SOUTHBOUND aliens.

(5) Social security will immediately return to its original state. If you didn't put nuttin in, you ain't getting nuttin out. The president nor any other politician will not be able to touch it.

(6) Welfare - Checks will be handed out on Fridays at the end of the 40 hour school week and the successful completion of urinalysis and a passing grade.

(7) Professional Athletes --Steroids - The FIRST time you check positive you're banned for life.

(8) Crime - We will adopt the Turkish method, the first time you steal, you lose your right hand. There is no more life sentences. If convicted, you will be put to death by the same method you chose for your victim; gun, knife, strangulation, etc.

(9) One export will be allowed; Wheat, The world needs to eat. A bushel of wheat will be the exact price of a barrel of oil.

(10) All foreign aid using American taxpayer money will immediately cease, and the saved money will pay off the national debt and ultimately lower taxes. When disasters occur around the world, we'll ask the American people if they want to donate to a disaster fund, and each citizen can make the decision whether it's a worthy cause.

(11) The Pledge of Allegiance will be said every day at school and every day in Congress.

(12) The National Anthem will be played at all appropriate ceremonies, sporting events, outings, etc.
