  Unfortunately the millions of Atheist victims have no chance to laugh back at you.
  
  In the name of creating their version of a religion-free utopia, Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and Mao Zedong produced the kind of mass slaughter that no Inquisitor could possibly match. Collectively these atheist tyrants murdered more than 100 million people.
  
  The crimes of atheism have generally been perpetrated through a hubristic ideology that sees man, not God, as the creator of values. Using the latest techniques of science and technology, man seeks to displace God and create a secular utopia here on earth. Of course if some people - the Jews, the landowners, the unfit, or the handicapped - have to be eliminated in order to achieve this utopia, this is a price the atheist tyrants and their apologists have shown themselves quite willing to pay. Thus they confirm the truth of Fyodor Dostoyevsky???s dictum, ???If God is not, everything is permitted.???
  
  Whatever the motives for atheist bloodthirstiness, the indisputable fact is that all the religions of the world put together have in 2,000 years not managed to kill as many people as have been killed in the name of atheism in the past few decades.
  
  It???s time to abandon the mindlessly repeated mantra that religious belief has been the greatest source of human conflict and violence. Atheism, not religion, is the real force behind the mass murders of history.

    During Hitler's rise to power, he often times spoke of being a Christian who was to eliminate the Jews. Once he was in power (and dominated the Jews) he then saw Christianity as a threat to Naziism. I don't think anyone can claim he was truly Christian or truly Atheist. He was all mad for power.
    
    It is important to remember that our Constitution calls for separation of Church and State. Therefore starting or continuing wars simply for religion's sake is undeniably dangerous. This article, I believe, does a great job of illustrating that Palin's world view is incredibly narrow and shallow, and that makes her a less-than-desirable VP candidate.

      In the two thousands years religion has existed it has no where near killed 300 + million men, women and children. Atheist gulags are still active in countries like China, North Korea etc. It's not the Sarah's of the world who are dangerous rather it is people like Harris who fatwas the death of millions of muslims coz they have different beliefs to his. .

        Um, if Harris is an atheist, then he wouldn't issue a fatwa.
        
        And Sarah Palin WOULD make a dangerous VP. Directly and indirecty. She would be another puppet, just like she is out on the campaign trail.

    An atheist is just someone who does not believe in a god. Most people do not believe in most other people's god. Jews, Muslims and Christians believe in the God of Abraham. Are the followers of those three religions going to share heaven in a peaceful 'truce'? Athists don't need to be labeled "atheists" just like peole who don't believe in astrology are not labeled "anti-astrologists". And Stalin, etc. fought and killed because of the dogmatic beliefs that they held. Atheists don't hold such a dogmatic belief. We don't believe in Thor (Thursday), Woeden (Wednesday), Saturn (Saturday), Zeus, Baal, Allah, Jehovah. Yawhweh, Bhudda, etc. Which gods do you not believe in?

      Atheism is more than a belief. It is an ideology/doctrine, a belief system and a lifestyle. In a nutshell it is values based.
      
      Atheism, in this day and age when religion is all around us, is not simple non-belief. Ignorance is non-belief. Atheism is a conscious decision to disregard the gods and theology proposed in different religions.
      
      It???s disbelief. It???s making a stand and saying, ???Your theistic belief system is bunk, and here is why I think so???. The irony is that such a stance is the creation of another belief system, which can turn itself into a religion.
      
      a) Athiesm is certainly an IDEOLOGY.
      
      Here is what I mean when I say atheism is an ideology??????.
      
      1 The body of ideas reflecting the social needs and aspirations of an individual, group, class, or culture.
      
      2. A set of doctrines or beliefs that form the basis of a political, economic, or other system.

  Surely you jest. An educated person such as yourself? Or are you being facetious?
  
  Look to find communism/Marxism and you'll find plenty of atheists. Stalin alone is attributed with 30 million deaths. I'm not saying that there is a direct correlation ("I'm an atheist, therefore I am going to kill all _____ (fill in the blank), but he was a renowned atheist.
