In a few weeks we will make a choice that will decide our future.
I follow a economist named bob proctor who has called the top and bottom of every market crash since the 70s correctly.
He perfectly predicted the current real estate market meltdown ,and the picture he paints about what will happen in the next couple years
Is terrifying. He thinks it will be worse then the great depression.
Banks in the US are going under one after the other. Country wide the largest morgage bank in the world
Bear Stearns and Lehman brothers , and Merrill Lynch which are 3 out of the top 5 wall street firms.
And now Fanny and Freddy which hold 50 percent of the home loans in the United States.
The goverment took them over because they are essentially bankrupt.
If they didn't the entire financially system would virtually shut down, the stock market would crash
And we would suffer beyond what any of us have seen before
The future of these companies will fall into the hands of our next president
Bush just like Mcain doesn't understand the economy.
That not just my opinion its his own words. Not only does he not understand how to fix it
He does not understand exactly what is broken. Its no surprise that he doesnt. The people that make up these
securities use complex math models very few people understand.
Bush and mccain both can take the credit for this mess since they helped deregulate the laws that were protecting us.

Bush's economic advisor Phil Graham wrote the deregulation bill that allowed banks take risks with all of our future.
Now Phil Graham is the head of mccains economic policy ,and mccain wants to make him the next secretary of the treasury.
No one in this country can afford for that to happen. The last time bush met with his economic advisors was in march. He either didnt realize or didnt care that anything was wrong. Phil Graham had the guts to say we are in a mental recession after he helped create the worst economy in our lifetime.
It will take the best and brightest minds in the world to get us out of this nightmare. As bad as bush has done mccain would be
incredibly worse because things are in much worse shape. The next president will not inherit a surplus like bush did but a tanking economy and a 11,600,000,000,000 deficit. Most of Bush created and it will take decades to pay it back.
If you do what you have always done then you will do get what you have always __________
When it comes to policy bush and mccain are the same 90 percent of the time.
So why are the polls even close then ?
The chairman of mcains campaign recently said that people don't vote on issues
they vote on a personality composite which means. He is trying to sell you personality instead of results.
He believes people will vote against there own self interests.
Lets teach him we are smarter then that .
Hold them accountable now while it will still help
    Elect Obama Biden 2008

The reason for our childish politics as a whole is our refusal to develop a more mature self-image nationally. We think like cripples. . Many of our problems come from our habit of abandoning each other culturally.

I'm used to seeing the phrase "center-right country" in essays by Republicans who have no idea how much trouble they're in. Darman's unquestioning adoption of it adds to the evidence (see also: George W. Bush) that an Ivy League degree is no guarantee of intelligence.

    Words from Obama himself.

???The choice is clear. Most of all we can choose between hope and fear. It is going to be very difficult for Republicans to run on their stewardship of the economy or their outstanding foreign policy. We know what kind of campaign they???re going to run. They???re going to try to make you afraid. They???re going to try to make you afraid of me. He???s young and inexperienced and he???s got a funny name. And did I mention he???s black?"

I guess you can use the race card when it will only help you in an election. No *** you're black. I could care a less. The problem is you are inexperienced and refuse to make a decission. When you do, 2 days later you have to change it because you are always wrong. Unfortunately, after you push a button, 2 days will be too late.

What a weird skewed analysis. I'd assumed that Newsweek would vet columns before they're posted. The US is a centre-right country ? What is the basis of that ludicrous statement ? The US is electorate has been lied to since the days of Goldwater and perhaps they're beginning to realise it. Oh yes - Bush really did a good job at keeping us safe didn't he ? Ignoring repeated warnings about the WTC attack should have gotten him impeached and would have if the Democrats had been in charge in Congress.

In what way--exactly--have the Republicans been "conservative" over the past 8 years? The Republicans may say that they are conservative, but the only thing they conserve is the wealth in the hands of the wealthy. The rich have done very well under modern Republicanism, but the rest of us have carried the weight. The question remains, "Are you better off now than you were 8 years ago?" Only the most wealthy of us can respond in the affirmative.

"They will paint Democrats as out-of-touch elitists"
"and a country that doesn't know better will accept their fabrication whole hog"

Will please somebody acknowledge that Obama is a mixed race candidate and not only African-American? I think he is the perfect person to lead this" multi race" country. He stands for white people aswellas for African-Americans . So please, consider that in case he will be close in the race and whites would likely vote against his "Race'.

Yes, this is true, but to some people all they see is a black candidate and not one who is mixed in origin. Thus, the existence of what is called the Bradley Factor:

      * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

      WHAT IS THE BRADLEY EFFECT

The Bradley Effect is a phenomenon characterized by the tendency of non-white political candidates to perform better in opinion polls than they do in actual elections when they are running against white candidates. Most specifically, the Bradley Effect often strikes black politicians, although it can just as easily affect Hispanics and other minorities. This interesting phenomenon has been a topic of intense study by pollsters, political analysts, and others, and there are several theories used to explain the Bradley Effect, which is sometimes also known as the Wilder Effect.

The concept is named for Tom Bradley, an African-American man who ran for the office of Governor of California in 1982. In polls leading up to the election, Bradley had a clear lead, and numerous media outlets boldly projected that he would win the election. On election night, however, he lost to the Republican candidate, much to the puzzlement of the Democratic party and many Californians. The same thing happened in Virginia in 1989 in another gubernatorial race, and numerous other instances of the Bradley Effect have been documented at various points in American history.

One of the primary explanations for the Bradley Effect is racial. Pollsters have suggested that voters may not want to admit to planning to vote against a black candidate, because they fear being perceived as racist, especially when the pollster is black. Polling organizations have also suggested that the Bradley Effect could be caused by undecided voters, many of whom lean in a conservative direction on election night.

I will not be swayed with the likes of Beth Wilkinson, Franklin Raines, Jim Johnson all part of the destruction of FannieMae being on Obama's team. Christopher Dodd and Barney Frank taking money from Fannie Mae and lying to the public. So financially I find Obama scary. McCain tried in 2005 to reform FannieMae was was shot down by Dodd, Frank and cronies. Rev Wright...middle America--hardly. I didn't vote for Gore, Kerry, or Obama to leftist for a decent America!

HOW MUCH DO YOU KNOW ABOUT OBAMAS $845 BILLION DOLLAR GLOBAL POVERTY ACT (Change you can believe in?)

We (U.S. citizens). . . under the OBAMA Presidency. . . will be responsible for paying for WORLD POVERTY (which will be managed by the United Nations) with none of those US dollars to be used to help fix our own economic problems in our country.

Obamas Poverty Plan: A Global Scam

    Excerpt:

The people of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA are (ALREADY) THE WORLDS GREATEST CHARITABLE GIVERS. As it stands, our government weighs in similarly compared to the governments of other developed nations. Still, those who make such generosity possible . . . the WORKING AMERICANS . . . find themselves with nowhere to turn when they run into difficulty. This columnist would rather see the #MORTGAGES of every American family currently under threat of foreclosure brought current before one more ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT is given free medical care, one more fiscally irresponsible corporation is bailed out, or one more dollar falls into the hands of a Third World despot.

Remember OIL FOR FOOD S. 2433 is a proposed massive money grab being sold on the basis of FALSE COMPASSION and UNWARRANTED GUILT . . . nothing more. The GLOBAL POVERTY ACT would represent FURTHER CONFISCATORY TAXATION of the American people in order TO PROVIDE BILLIONS in circumlocutory appeasement for THIRD WORLD GOVERNMENTS, with the obligatory administrative LOST MILLIONS appropriated by corrupt dictators, lawmakers, consultants and United Nations bandits. . . . and BARACK OBAMA knows it!

    Exerpt:
Cliff Kincaid at Accuracy in Media has published a critique asserting that while the Global Poverty Act sounds nice, the adoption could result in the imposition of a GLOBAL TAX on the United States and would make levels of U.S. foreign aid spending SUBSERVANT to the dictates of the #UNITED NATIONS.
