    John McCain is a very rich man. He was born to a Mother who was an oil heiress and he of course married a beer distributor heiress. He has lots of money and lots of luxurious comforts that the money has bought. What has been baffling from the beginning of all this is that the McCain campaign tried to make Obama out to be the rich one. I don't happen to care what McCain owns, he can have as many cars as he pleases but I do want him to stop trying to make me and other voters believe that Obama is an elitist. McCain has spent this whole campaign, avoiding the issues and transfering his negatives to Obama, it did not work with me and I pray that it will not work with most Americans.

    Ok, Okl... let's just forget the #1 issue this time around (that being the economy that McLame, er McSame, er McCain has admitted being weak on) and just deal with his latest utterance: "I will not leave Iraq until we have WON!" Won WHAT? What could he possibly believe is THERE to WIN??? He scares me... and since I am only some 10 or 11 years his junior, I am afraid that I am going to scare me soon too! Lord, someone please just shoot me before I get to be that old and mentally feeble!

    the writers may not be racists, they could be the type of people who pretend to be aloof and proper at work and around family. on fridays they turn into the people standing around a nightclub listening to rap and blasting it on their IPOD's. some people let their weekend profile slip during working hours. this MAYBE their flatulent attempt to show their cool and witty.

      And OBama has? The supreme court stopped the race on the birth certificate because of Mulato people. I have two mulato nephews. My sister passed away almost 4 years ago. I tell them they are neither, they are biracial or mulato. To say you are one and not the other, is disrespectful to either heritage. He runs on a ticket saying he is black. However, he isn't. I really wish everyone would read his memoirs if you did, you WOULD SOOOO CHANGE YOUR MIND. No election is clean cut. If you think the world is all perfect, please go back to your corner and put on your rose colored glasses.

    The editors at NEWSWEEK missed the racism that many readers found blatant and this kind of racism is often repeated in most media across the country. .Passive racism is still racism. Even IF intrinsic subconsciously, this dangerous trait rears its ugly head more often than what many people think or want to accept, especially in themselves. Now, does anyone else think that race is not a huge factor in the race for President? How quickly and unfairly Michelle Obama got labeled a terrorist and unamerican for her observations about racism in America and for being especially proud for a history making occasion, yet, the media is not focusing on Sara and Tod Palin's ties to the Alaska Independence Party (AIP) particularly as it relates to Tod's deep and some say active participation in Alaska's State government affairs. If Michelle Obama had belonged to or had ties to some kind of separatist group like AIP and Barack had given several speeches and or attended some of their meetings, he would be out of the Presidential race. Why aren't the Palins considered possible terrorists and unamerican for their interest in un-uniting the Alaskan part of the United States? Why wouldn't Tod be considered a mole or a spy for the AIP like Michelle would if she had had an affiliation with a group like AIP?

      Exactly... I lived in Ft. Greely, Alaska until recently, and trust me, she is NOT the maverick reformer people are claiming she is. She DID support the brigde to nowhere and she DIDNT return the money she got for the dead project, she DID head up a PAC for Ted Stevens, she DIDN'T sell the plane on Ebay, she DID leave Wasilla in debt. Furthermore, the NG pipleline doesnt even exist, so her energy credentials are bogus.

    What I don't get is the media keeps ramming down our throats that Palin does not hold enough experience, but then glosses over the fact that Obama has even less and is running for the top spot. When in the past modern times has the Vice President even mattered.
