McCain; Shame on you for buying foreign! GM and Ford do make some top notch vehicles, Chevy Silverado, Ford F150 lines. Excellent vehicles! The you have all there alternative models which pretty much have the same engines just look different.

The Palin''s are horrible corrupt backwoods people! Who ran Alaska with an Iron fist, people that do not know how to handle power should not be in power!

Obama's use of a gas saving vehicle does not make up for the fact that he has absolutely no leadership experience. He was only active in the US senate for 140 days until he began promoting himself for the presidential candidate. It's like having a student that just graduated from pre-law standing in as your defense attorney...He does not have the experience/training to be president!

Dally2915- This is a forum for free speak and besides that my comment has nothing to do with supporting abortion or not, it???s the fact that Palin doesn???t even want to educate children on sex, that has NOTHING to do with killing an unborn child, it has EVERYTHING to do with prevention. Anyway, let???s stick to the big issues that she has nothing smart to say about the actual big issues at hand just her ridiculous viewpoints.

Why the 50 cent reference? Mary-Louise Parker's character on "Weeds" drives a Prius. I know exactly what kind of point I'm making with my statement; Newsweek, do you know what your doing with yours?

Posting something stupid with no positive feedback or any thought in it so you are the most recent post doesn't make anything you say factual or correct. Just your opinion backed up by nothing ...and you know what they say about opinions......opinions are like...asphalt....which we could definitely use more of because our infrastructure (roads/bridges) are in horrible shape from lack of funding. Nobody can cut taxes i don't think for quite a while. At least Obama would screw the richest americans to pay for minor tax cuts to the middle class and low income folks....as opposed to tax cuts for low income, middle class and the lion's share of the tax cuts to wealthiest americans that McCain put forward....how does he plan on paying for tax cuts for everyone lol....10trillion plus deficit now and a longer exit outta iraq to "do the job right" is a joke....these people over there have been warring for thousands of years and will continue to do so long after we've tried to claim any sort of victory in the middle-east. Get our troops back home with their struggling families, save some lives of americans, stop blowing up our deficit with an expensive war budget at a time like this, start building our foreign relations back up.

If we wanna start improving our economy we'll start being responsible and chipping away at our deficit once we balance the budget by cutting pork/earmarks, leaving iraq, restoring taxes to what they were under clinton, give incentives to folks that buy american and keep jobs here instead of shipping them overseas, start giving incentives to folks that buy electric/hybrids and get on the wave of the future which is completely harmless solar/wind/hydrogen cars. I hear France has figured a way to do something with nuclear waste.....if this is true lets start building reactors to help power our country also.

i agree with pattykins.....senile dementia is a serious condition that afflicts the elderly...and sorry to say it (i really am) but mccain is really old...this is a legitimate concern that we need to consider. and palin is in no way shape form or fashion ready to lead the country.

LMAOatU. One thing I would point out is that the Republicans attacked Clinton for cheating and attacked Obama for not having enough experience. By attacking the Democrats on these issues you would logically think that their stance would be that infedelity is unacceptable and experience is an important issue for the presedential ticket. I enjoy watching them twist, lie and spin to be able to criticize and do the same thing as the Democrats.

That said, I am tired of the partisan divide in our country. Is it the Democrats and Republicans pushing this divide or is it us?? I have a theory that Americans think in binary terms. You are good or bad. You are for or against something. The majority of our movies have good vs. bad and then good wins. We all want to wear the white hat and be on the side of good, so we have to define bad. We are a nation of white hats.

    • Posted By: LMAOatU @ 09/22/2008 12:06:24 PM

Trust me when I say I agree with you 100%. But you must agree that both sides change positions at the drop of a hat if it fits there needs.

Show me a gas friendly car that holds the Palin family comfortably. And I seriously doubt the Obama's all ride in one car. They are just looking at cars registered to the candidates... you know there are several cars chauffering the Obama's around... and I doubt they are hybrids!! Come on people... how many cars someone owns has little to do with how well they can run a country. We watch shows like "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" , "Cribs", etc. and we are fascinated with the amount of wealth these people have. What hypocrites we are! Not to mention, I bet a few a you had one of Cindy McCain's beers this weekend!

  • Posted By: Republi'crat @ 09/22/2008 11:13:00 AM

yes...fascinating...cars they drive....how about the fact the lack of regulation pushed by the republican economic policies over the past decades and finally enacted less than 2 yrs ago when they shredded the regulatory measures placed there by FDR have caused this flop on wall street. Wake up folks...2yrs of not having regulations that resulted from the 30's depression and we're back in the same situation.

I'm a registered republican and this year I will be voting for Senator Obama. I'm pro 2nd amendment rights and believe civil unions is the furthest gay couples should get recognized, but folks these are small issues compared to whether or not you'll have a job tomorrow or if you're pensions and retirement savings will live through this. Stop gettin lead astray by the media and political campaigns and start paying attention to the issues that really will make a difference in you lives. If abortion is a key issue and you can't let it go then stop being hypocrits and realize that the Bible doesn't give any man/woman the right to take another life in any manner...this includes death row and sending our sons and daughters into harms way to kill other human beings....we don't have the authority to take life in any instances.....turn the other cheek and work harder to lead by example and win folks over with good deeds. Help the sick and poor......and we can start in this country first in that department.

    • Posted By: dally2915 @ 09/22/2008 11:52:22 AM

Take your own advice and stop listening to the media. It's always been the media that has been shoving Obama in our faces. People need to vote for a person that can keep the country American, not Muslim.

      • Posted By: lilysdaddy @ 09/22/2008 12:03:36 PM

This is for dally2915. Your comment is rediculous and borderline racist. Take a look in the mirror and think before you type.

  • Posted By: aquadotz @ 09/22/2008 12:02:53 PM

    dally2915 -

Obama is not a muslim and you are clearly a hack. Thank Mr. John McCain - (can you say "KEATING FIVE") for the great shape of our economy. Maybe you should read something and educate yourself.

Republi'crat Do you mean CNN (Clinton News Network)?

  • Posted By: ukenuke @ 09/22/2008 1:11:55 AM

And yes. It matters whether one candidate marries a beer heiress worth $100 million ( (after dumping his disfigured first wife) , owns 7 homes, 13 cars, and a private jet, and then suggests that HIS OPPONENT is an elitist.

    • Posted By: e.levon @ 09/22/2008 11:59:11 AM

Let's not forget the fact that his father and grandfather were Navy admirals. His grandfather has an airfield named after him, and I WORK on MCCain Blvd on the naval base in North Island, CA!!! I don't know about the rest of you... but "regular" folks dont' have airfields, ships, and streets named after them. I don't begrudge that, but regular folks can't relate to those things.

  • Posted By: Republi'crat @ 09/22/2008 11:54:46 AM

Yes powerfade the connection from fannie/freddie is real....the employees holding non managerial positions have donated 138k dollars to Obama and the folks that make the decisions in fannie/freddi have donated just shy of 11k to obama....and McCain has taken in about 138k from the folks that run the company. I think i'd rather be supported by the folks in the mail rooms and data entry positions than the folks putting their profits as a company over your security financially on your mortgage. Stop talking unless you actually read newspapers and watch the news from severeal different outlets. If you watch Fox you get the republican spin, if you watch msnbc you get the democrat spin, if you watch CNN you get about down the middle politically...and if you actually care about what is happenening in the world as well as here watch some BBC. Cross reference what you hear outta the media and the common ground that overlaps tends to be the truth 99% of the time. Get informed or stay home on election day...this goes for both sides. Don't vote for a party...vote for an individual......just because you're black doesn't mean you should vote democrat and just because you're from kentucky doesn't mean you have to vote republican because you think you'll get flack from your neighbors and relatives. Have the courage to get involved and stand up for what you believe is the right decision and go against the grain if you have to. That's what i'm doing this year.

  • Posted By: DUMPLIN @ 09/22/2008 10:32:32 AM

WHY DON'T YOU ASK OBAMA WHY HE GOT SUCH A HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY FROM FREDDIE MAC AND FANNIE MAE? SEEMS TO ME IT IS OBAMA WHO IS NOT GENUINE OR HONEST.

    • Posted By: e.levon @ 09/22/2008 11:49:24 AM

This is truly spin. He got campaign contributions from executives at those companies. The companies didn't just write him huge checks. Being an executive doesn't negate being a private citizen, and private citizens can donate to whoever they chose to. Don't make this nonissue into lipstick on a pig again!

So now the Dems need to focus on the fact that McCain's wife has alot of money? So he was a young all american boy that made good...Found the cute rich blonde that saw more in him than the other men she could have married with TONS of money...Normally we would call that a nice movie...Local boy hero wins the heart of the rich girl that has class and heart. The Dem liberals can't make up their mind when the Hollywood movie is staring them in the face...

    • Posted By: e.levon @ 09/22/2008 11:40:01 AM

First of all.. how many "All American" boys have airfields and streets on Naval Bases named after their father and grandfather? Second of all.. he found the cute, rich blond while he was married. Seems funny that after 5.5 years of captivity, the first thing he wanted to do was come home and cheat on his wife.

    • Posted By: yarnedia @ 09/22/2008 10:54:50 AM

I think it goes more like this: Local boy hero's beauty queen wife disfigured in accident. Local boy hero cheats on her with young rich girl. Local boy hero dumps no longer beauty queen wife, marries young rich girl. Local boy hero and young rich girl marry, buy several houses and cars... too many to remember and then paint local boy hero's opponent in presidential election as being "elite".

    • Posted By: cheesedad @ 09/22/2008 10:54:09 AM

You forget - he didn't just find the blond. He cheated on his wife to get the rich blond. Not honest. Not ethical. Not a Christian. Just greedy.

  • Posted By: LMAOatU @ 09/22/2008 11:39:10 AM

I just want to thank you all for the hours of intertainment I get from reading your posts. Your slanted opinions of the what is important and what is not (both Rep and Dem) keeps me LMAO. For example...McCain cheated on first wife - Dems say big issue, Rep say not an issue. Clinton gets blow job in the White House.....Dems say not an issue, Rep say big issue. Obama has no experience...Dems - no issue, Rep - big issue. Palin has no experience....Dems - big issue, Rep - no issue. By the way, Palin isn't the Rep presidential Candidate. I could go on and on. I hope by November you all can put aside all the party BS and make an intelligant decision based on facts and choose the person best suited to lead this country. I haven't made my mind up yet. Maybe I'm a little slow, but most of you had your minds made up before we even knew who the candidate would be. You people (and you know who I'm talking to) need to put Country before party.

But for all of you who will take offence to this post, please keep up the rediculus bickering. As I metioned earlier I do enjoy reading these things. It's like watching Jerry Springer without commercials.

I think we ought to do away with parties it is obvious they dont agree on anything and definately dont have our countries best interest at heart.foriegn vehicles have really took its toll on our country and the big three.what america is saying is that our products that we make ourselves are not good.wake up people As far as the racist remarks i am tired of people thinking we owe them for something that happened years ago before most of our time.race on back to where you came from if you dont like it. robbie smith cartersville ga
