I just want to thank you all for the hours of intertainment I get from reading your posts. Your slanted opinions of the what is important and what is not (both Rep and Dem) keeps me LMAO. For example...McCain cheated on first wife - Dems say big issue, Rep say not an issue. Clinton gets blow job in the White House.....Dems say not an issue, Rep say big issue. Obama has no experience...Dems - no issue, Rep - big issue. Palin has no experience....Dems - big issue, Rep - no issue. By the way, Palin isn't the Rep presidential Candidate. I could go on and on. I hope by November you all can put aside all the party BS and make an intelligant decision based on facts and choose the person best suited to lead this country. I haven't made my mind up yet. Maybe I'm a little slow, but most of you had your minds made up before we even knew who the candidate would be. You people (and you know who I'm talking to) need to put Country before party.

But for all of you who will take offence to this post, please keep up the rediculus bickering. As I metioned earlier I do enjoy reading these things. It's like watching Jerry Springer without commercials.

So all the financial success that the McCains have enjoyed is somehow going to be a bad thing for this country? Can someone please explain. If you want to argue who is out of touch, I'd say all of Congress is. I don't want a leader that is in touch as much as someone who is and has been a leader in the past, present and future.

Glad you brought that up Powerfade....the regulations that allowed this collapse were shredded in 2005/2006 when the senate/house and oval office were all held by the republican party.....i'm a registered republican and i cannot deny the facts....our economic policy has failed and it took less than 2yrs to prove why we need the regulations/oversight that FDR enacted after 1929. I'm a lil miffed that Paulson is asking for 700billion to bail bad debt and possibly foreign investment banks that have mortgages here even lol...but they're fighting congress to add in some help in the package to help folks hang on to their homes. Lucky us...we get the bill and the deal doesn't even work in our favor....works in the favor of foreign investors in our financial markets...god forbid the royalty of saudi arabia lose some cash lol.

Yes, the Dems do control the house and senate...for ONE YEAR!! THE GOP has had a stranglehold on congress since the Clinton Administration. I think it's pretty safe to pour the blame on Bush and the rest of his snakes. You can't undo 12 years of bad judgement in one year. We need to clean house and start at the top with the Republican President.

So if you can't find something bad to say about Obama just make sure we don't forget his "not one of us"?

What the hell does "once 50 Cent's preferred ride" have to do with anything? Are you suggesting he's trying to hide something?

  • Posted By: suthrnknight @ 09/22/2008 9:10:09 AM

I do not care anything about what anyone says about houses and cars. The most important thing seperating McCain and Obama is that John McCain is a patriot and apparently Barrack Hussein Obama is not. How can any true American even consider voting for a man, who is running for President of this United States of America, who is clearly not a Patriot of this country? He will not salute the Flag, he replaced the Flag on his airplane with a symbol of himself...what does that tell you? He is only concerned with himself, not the American People. Wake up America.

    • Posted By: eagles1776 @ 09/22/2008 9:44:17 AM

Don't you have something beyone the tired old "McCain is a patriot" crap. We are past those personal attacks on Obama. You need to come up with some others. I know you would avoid talking REAL issues like the plague so we won't go there. Have a nice life and when they say go to Iraq you will be first in line. When they say here is your Social Security you will say no thanks I am too independant I don't need it.

Personally I don't give a rat's behind how many cars the candidates own or where the cars were made but I do care when they say one thing and believe another. That is lying and hypocritical. McCain never used to be this bad but lately he has really deteriorated into one pandering to any who will listen and particularly to the ubercons and evangelicals.

      • Posted By: suthrnknight @ 09/22/2008 11:28:05 AM

I would be more than happy to talk about anything you would like to talk about. Apparently you have not seen the pics of Obama standing with his hands folded while others around him have their hands over their hearts when the National Anthem was being played. I guess that means nothing to you being you are an ex-serviceman. I am also an ex-service man and it really bothers me when someone who supposedly loves this country cannot show proper respect to her Flag because he is afraid of insulting somoeone. If he cannot show the flag proper respect, what makes you think he cares any more about the country???

    • Posted By: fla-thinker @ 09/22/2008 9:40:30 AM

suthurnknight: is patriotism merely wrapping yourself in the american flag? I have no doubt mccain et al love this country, but every election the right wing extremists wrap them selves in the american flag as they ignore the plight of the masses. What are they going to do for the ex-military personell who are stuggling to get medical are (for their PTSD), for the injured veterans who are facing foreclosure because they can't work, for the struggling families trying to keep their homes out of foreclosure and educate their kids. How about patriotism meaning caring about every hard working tax-paying American. Demanding health care for every hard working American. Requiring decent public schools for every American child? Move away from the cliches of everyday politics and demand the change we need!!!!

the Dems try to blame President Bush for everything...funny but I thought the Dems controlled the house and the senate?

The person who posted this comment nails it down! The President's power is somewhat limited as compared to the House and Senate. Blame those that can and do exact "CHANGE"!

  • Posted By: friendly democrat @ 09/22/2008 10:15:30 AM

mccain is the elitist, obama is not an elitist...obama is just smart so he sounds like he is the elitist..mccain is a nut job !

    • Posted By: logics @ 09/22/2008 11:14:45 AM

Nobama is charismatic and demogue he preached change that he can't do.. He's part of the economic problem he's one of the majority DEM senator, blaming the problem to Bush is a lame excuse . He's part of the problem and wants to fix the problem ??? hahah that's a good laugh

  • Posted By: USisnotaSocialiststate @ 09/22/2008 10:48:52 AM

Seriously.. who only has one car when you're as wealthy as Obama is? Does this not make anyone say mmhhh? Are you all too blind to wonder if maybe Obama has been gearing up for this run for years...and has adjusted things like the kind of car he drives to better support his "common man" theme. The man is not poor... why does everyone act like he's an average joe? And think... what women among us who can afford it would not have her nails, and hair done and buy a nice, if even expensive dress/ outfit if they were in the public eye as much as Michelle Obama. But, oddly, she doesn't... she makes a POINT of buying inexpensive dresses and makes sure everyone knows about it. Really? Women, who could afford it would love a pair of Jimmy Choos.. ala Carrie Bradshaw... You're not going to actually sit back and think this is all normal, that none of this has been staged. Please people don't let Obama make you all out to be fools that he can suck in with his "we're just middle class people just like all of you". No, Obama, you're not. You have more money than than most of us could even dream of having. You hob nob with people we only see on the silver screen after paying our $8.50 ticket price. Please take the blinders off people. At least Cindy and John McCain act normal, like people in their financial bracket would be expected to. You all don't see anything odd about how almost cheap Michelle and he seem? Like they're trying too hard to be "common" when their bank balance is so far from it.....

I whole heartedly agree. Quit worrying about what people own and look into their politics and ethics. I own more than one house and we make less then 100k a year. We have three cars and three motorcycles.....hmmm...does that mean i have too many material items to run for president.?? Lets look at something other then material things people....like ISSUES. Wow what a concept!

This one is for PalinforAmerica.... Palin is perhaps the person in this campaign LEAST for America, and what the majority stands for, but of course you'll never be able to see that, because you've clearly drank the KoolAid. Who cares about the cost of their homes? Do you really want to have that discussion? Is Obama running against Palin (and it's NO CONTEST by the way)? He's running against McCain who, oh, that's right, has at least seven houses, valuing WAY over the 1.5 mil of Obama's.

Obama is change simply because he is someone new. McCain has voted with the GOP 90+% of the time, the policies that have driven this country into the ground (and deregulation of the financial world was one of those votes). The Dems have only been in majority for 2 years, and a slim majority at that --- they HAVE tried to get legislation thru, but Bush has been doing like he promised 2 years ago - VETO. Let's talk about the real reason nothing is getting done in THAT context.

At least Obama believes in the middle class, and equal rights and the real tenants this country was built upon --- and, he does speak of HOW and WHAT he would do in explicit terms on his website, unlike the McPalin ticket which hasn't said a dang thing on how they would accomplish their ligh level talking points.

Go ahead, vote for the crooked, the dummies, the alienators.... clearly the country needs 4 more years of that action.

Go on believing Palin is all that. I'm sure she is so much more down to earth with her $300 glasses and tailored, named brand clothes. Let's not forget, how she doesn't want to teach our kids about sex education, gee no wonder why her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant...make the connection yet Palin for America? Oh yeah, and the one that really gets me, Palin wants to teach our kids that the earth is only several thousand years old? Come on...even if you believe that God created Heaven and Earth, let's give Him a little credit that it might have taken him a little longer than a few thousand years. And if Palin really knew what she was talking about she would know that the timing in the bible is different then today's. So even though the bible may state years in thousands for all we know it could really mean millions. Or should we just throw out all we know that has been scientifically proven because Palin doesn't believe it! Oh and if she would become president, don't expect to go to the public library and checkout a book on anything that is the least bit controversial! Anyone for book burning?! Hey maybe she'll build us a huge bridge to Russia so when she starts a war with them we'll be able to cross the bridge just line the "pipe line to no where", heck she knows so much about foreign policies because Alaska is just across the ocean. WOW, she is such a smart cookie.

You people make me sick. Who really cares what kind of car they drive. What has that got to do with being qualified to be the next President? Just something to bash someone on and I guess thatis what sells your crappy magazine. Obama sold his car to please the public. What else will he sell out on? Muslim over Christianity maybe. How about race over ethics. You just never know.

    • Posted By: yarnedia @ 09/22/2008 11:03:28 AM

Great point, obviously if someone sells their car for something more fuel efficient the next logical step is to sell out Christianity and start a race war. Very intelligent and insightful comment.

Please try to come out from under your rock. Obama comes from a middle class background and has worked his way up. Yes he may own a 1.5 million dollar home but this shouldn't be an excuse not to vote for him...Oh yeah, unless you don't believe in the American dream. If you don't believe then vote for those who lie about anything just to get your support (McCain, Palin). As far as the Dems in the House and Senate are concerned, yes they could be doing more but not when the Republicans vote against everything they propose. In case you care the Dems don't have enouph of a majority to over ride the Republican minority.

In regards to logics comments. I think is great how mature our country is. Nobama? Why don't you try to look outside your little box that you live in and think about the rest of the world. Obama has a little more sense about where our country is now and where it needs to go. Unlike McCain who lives in a fantasy world that about 1% of our world population lives in. It's hard to see where the middle class is if you have 7 houses and 13 cars.

  • Posted By: talkradioone @ 09/22/2008 10:59:35 AM

Didn't McCain dump his first wife after a debilitating car accident for a trophy wife who inherited a Budweiser destributorship? I guess that's ok because Obama has two black children who he fathered in wedlock.

  • Posted By: logics @ 09/22/2008 10:52:13 AM

Din't tell me that he walks or use a bicyle to work, he could always register it under a different name . His million $ house has more rthan 1 car. I really don't care if Nobama practices civil law, he's part of the economic problem in the majority Dem senate. He just can't shift blame on Bush only and wash his hands clean. his hands are in the cookie jar as Mccain . Nobama is charismatic and a demogiue preaching change, if he's elected he can't change anything but his underwear. Action speaks louder than words.

  • Posted By: lastgal @ 09/22/2008 10:48:23 AM

Once again..no mention of Ralph Nader - not even in something as insignificant to the future of our country as a blip about what type of vehicle the candidates drive.

  • Posted By: Palinforamerica @ 09/22/2008 10:46:46 AM

OH...I forgot...Those that say Obama is more "down-to-earth" then Sarah Palin need to get a grip as well. Obama says he's more in touch with the average person then Sarah Palin? Yet he's living in a 1.5 MILLION dollar home? All you Dems living in your trailer houses...just keep telling yourself that he can relate to you...McCain served his country by being a servant to the Nation. All you have to do is look who did more for their respective States...Palin or Obama? Who ACTUALLY brought about Change? Palin or Obama? I look at the results, not just listening to someone talk a good game and be swayed by the "Hype" that Obama has put out there. He's not a rockstar people...I can tell you I can make change all day long too without telling you what I'm going to do or How I'm going to do it. Just wanting it doesn't make it happen. At least Palin has a track record to prove she can do it....go on then...vote for Obama you'll have change alright. change jingling in your pocket...the Dems try to blame President Bush for everything...funny but I thought the Dems controlled the house and the senate? You made your bed by voting a democratic house and senate...Now go and lie in it.
