Wow, seriously guys. I am an Obama backer, but let people drive whatever the hell they want to. It is ridiculous to think that Michelle and Barack only have one car. The news is getting so one sided these days.

Amazing to see the pathetic tactics of distraction on display here. A rather simple story about the hypocrisy of McCain labelling his rival an elitist given the fact that he own a dozen more vehicle than his rival, nevermind the over a dozen homes he owns and the McCain fans here try to steer this into a discussion as to what constitutes a foreign or American made car?!? No, it's not going to work this time!! This article is doing exactly what the press should be doing, exposing the hypocrisy of John McCain and his ilk who have helped drive America into financial ruin who then try and turn around and claim they're for "everyday Americans" when they live lives of privilege. The game is OVER!! We everyday Americans are ready to take back America from the clutches of the TRUE greedy, wealth elite of this nation and phonies like McCain will no longer be tolerated!!

What is an "American" car? The Obama's currenly own a Ford Escape hybrid, which according to the sticker is 65% US and Canadian manufacture. The batteries are made by Sanyo in Japan, and the transmission is made by Asin in Japan. Previously they owned a Chrysler 300C, which is made in either Canada, Austria, or China. McCain's Cadillac CTS was made in either Michigan or China.

I'm just wondering when all of the liberal morons working for media outlets such as Newsweek will start coving the important things about an election such as immigration, health care, social security, or taxes. Both candidates should be ashamed they have not outright contested the meaningless banter the media has put out during this election. This article really shows the mentality of the reporters working for Newsweek or should I say the lack thereof. I give the author an IQ less than an eggplant. Who flippin cares how many cars anyone has. I am almost positive that the number of cars that a candidate has will have an influence on issues such as secure borders, or hospitals having the money to take care of illegal immigrants when the federal funds are cut off and they are still required to treat them because they cannot turn them away. Don???t you liberal morons get it? Pull your heads out of you know where and start informing the country about the real issues so the American people can better understand the horrific situation in which this country is headed you pick socialism or communism and your media retards are fueling them both. Okay, so how much fuel are they burning running all over the USA? Of course we the citizens end up paying for that. No I don't plan on voting for either one. I've had to change my alliances anyway, Because neither democrats or republicans care about this country anymore. I's all about their party, pork barrel spending, their own agendas, and their own egos. What happened to representing the people?

Both candidates and thier families can drive what ever they want as far as I am concerned. Most cars built in the U.S. have parts from other counties on them. I have seen Toyotas and Hondas with over 300,000 miles on them and still run great. I drove a VW bug with 250,000 miles on it. The next owner drove it for another 50,000 miles until it was wrecked in a car accident. It's your money, buy what you want. Cry all you want about buying American, but the unions doomed the auto industry, not foreign cars.

Do you morons at Newsweek realize that not ALL foreign cars are imported? A LOT are built right here in America BY Americans, unlike a lot of GM and Ford vehicles that are built in Canada and Mexico, not to mention numerous other small parts of the vehicle that are imported for GM and Ford. Personally, I'm proud that my Nissan Altima 3.5 SE is 100% assembled in Smyrna, Tennessee by AMERICAN WORKERS and that's ALL that matters. As long as my money goes to help with American employment, who cares anymore. Sure, 10 years ago most foreign cars were TRULY foreign. I have previously owned ALL domestic vehicles, and the last few GM and Ford cars that I owned disappointed me in quality and reliability, and subjected me to RUDE customers service over and over again. It's OUR right to invest our money wisely and buy QUALITY cars with PROVEN longevity. Maybe Sen. McCain likes what they offer. Personally, foreign cars are always more appealing in nearly every way. Sorry if the truth hurts, but deal with it :-)

Who really cares who drives what? If the only thing that Newsweek has to report on is the candidates cars they must really be stretching for information to bash McCain on. Newsweek editor...."how can we make McCain look bad this week? I know, let's report that he owns 13 different cars compared to Obama's 1." Give me a break!!! If you want "change" then vote obama, because that's all you'll have left....he'll take it all except the change in your pocket. In the end you will have what you wanted....Change and nothing else but good 'ol Washington. Am I saying that McCain will be any different? Probably not but at least I know that I'll keep more of my hard-earned money in my pocket as taxes won't be toughed. When the UAW president can go to any of the auto plants in the US and not see at least one forgeign built car in the parking that belongs to a UAW union member then he can bitch and raise cane about Senator McCain. In regard to the Mrs. Mingus "stupid" comment. People outside and inside of the United States need to look no further then our current President to see the true definition of stupid. He put all of his private companies in the economic toilet and now the U.S.

But, then the Republicans are now offering McCain - a man that graduated in the bottom 1% of his class (894 out of 899). That is . Would you feel safe hiring a surgeon, an engineer, or a pilot that graduated in the bottom 1% of their class? Not me - I care.......
