this article goes to show how much Obama really cares about the enviroment. Instead of driving himself around, he used a plane to get everywhere, and then when he does need a car, he hires a limo or a cab that would get less gas mileage than McCains 1960 Jeep....which by the way should not even be added in the car count becuase I am sure that it is just an antique or family car.....I am 19 and have three cars myself. WHO CARES!!!!! I am happy to drive my 1981 Jeep around and get less than 10 mpg. At least I have fun and better things to do then watch the stupid newsmedia bring up all kinds of pointless news about BOTH candidates. There should be a law that states that no one should be able to start campaining for president until the summer before. THEN we would actually get good news and stop hearing the same old stuff everyday about stupid things such as cars or who visited where and when......

Excuse me, but I really don't understand what your point is? How is the number of cars a family owns pertinent to how well he or she would do a President's job? This one-home-owner, middle class family owns 6 vehicles - one for each member of the family (3 of whom are in school outside of our town) and a truck that we need for ongoing home projects All to say that we need 6 vehicles....Now, what was YOUR POINT?

I don't care how many cars or homes Mrs. McCain chooses to buy. She also does a lot of good with her wealth.

I just think a man who doesn't even remember who bought his daughter's car can't really relate to me and my problems. His tax incintive will lower his wife's taxes, but not mine. I'm voting for the man who will lower 95% of American's taxes. I'm voting for the man who will bring my Uncle home to his 5 children and the man who will stop sending 10 BILLION dollars a month to a country that sits on 80 billion in oil reserves. I'm not voting for a man who has voted with President Bush 91% of the time and then thinks we American's won't care.

I think he doesn't care how many homes he has or how many cars he owns because he's focusing on far more important things like whether the rest of us have A car to drive or A house to live in.

Barack Obama has always gone for the lower level when he could afford the higher. Obviously McCain lives high on the hog.

Rupblic'cat, you are absolutely right, what you've mentioned are relatively small issues. It just frustrates me how deaf and blind the supports of McCain/Palin are when almost everything they say are so contradictive of their actions and things that are happening in their own lives. They are so out of touch with reality it's sad.
