Point is; abortion is morally reprehensible. Women demand control over their own bodies yet hardly ever exercise that responsibility with any sense. They get pregnant and suddenly they are 'victims'. Hey, sugar cube, it's YOUR body, take responsibility for it. If you don't want to get pregnant, stay out of sexual situations or use protections. This debate is a non-starter.

What about victims of Rape and Incest? How should have they stay out of sexual situations?

Fine, according to 2004 FBI Statistics, the rape rate was 32.2 per 100,000 which meant there were 94,557 rapes. Then to be in alignment with your logic, there should only have been 94,557 abortions in 2004. According to the CDC there were 839,226 abortions for that same year. So I will play your logic and restrict it to cases of rape which means that 744,669 lives would have been saved in 2004.

Fine, then let's have it your way and put the rape restriction in place. As that is your arguement, I am sure that you will be happy.

By the looks of the discussion so far, you can please the Republicans. They claim that the media is not questioning Obama, when they do they claim the media is soft, or baised.

The artilcle states:"For the record, Obama says he would have supported "born alive" legislation in Illinois if framed in a way that did not pose a threat to abortion rights granted by the Supreme Court in its Roe v. Wade decision." For the record, Obama said that, but then when the bill was amended to be worded exactly the way Obama requested, Obama still voted agianst it! Why doesn't factcheck mention this? Are they biased too, along with the rest of the media?

Further, the Illinois law was, in fact, not effective in protecting the lives of babies born alive. Babies that were visibly alive were thrown in a closet to die alone. As the article mentions, the descretion was left up to the abortionist who has just botched his abortion. What kind of a law is that? This could have easily included Gianna. Factcheck, you are inaccurate and biased.

Comment: Since I'm talking about accuracy, I really have to check my spelling.,

If we tune out the noise, the bottom line is that both candidates are wasting money on ads if the ads are not 100% accurate. The most both candidates can do is have someone check their ads for accuracy so the ads would be effective. Unfortunately if any ad is too close too one side or another that party gets shrapnel. I'm happy all ads are being ran through the mill. I'm sure it gives reporters plenty of writing material.

From 2001 to 2007, the republican???s controlled the entire government., that is both Houses of Congress and the Executive branch. During that time when they had the reins, they did essentially nothing to stop the massive numbers of abortions. But what they did do is unjustifiably invade another country, a country that was almost totally controlled at the time with our inspectors going anywhere and our planes in the air. Tens of thousands of people have now been slaughtered as a result of this invasion. I believe these people count as humanity too.

Yes, I ask how many people are likely to die under a President. Right now Bush???s numbers are very high and that does NOT include abortion.

John McCain, being a one dimensional thinker (condemn, threaten, attack) is NOT simply more of the same, he is actually worse. Bush actually thinks and gathers facts before he acts. Bottom of the class, can???t get the words right, 894 out of 899 McCain does NOT and in our current world, that is dangerous.

MCCAIN IS SIMPLY MORE WAR AND MORE KILLING WAITING TO HAPPEN. PERIOD.

But I guess that is okay.

Factcheck is really walking a tight line here:
A number of things about the article weren't 100% unbiased or true...including the "political not moral" statement. Humans have been making capable moral decisions for a much longer time than they have been a part of political entities.

FACTCHECK needs to do their homework. They can begin here.

Name one person, doctor, nurse or other medico, who was charged under the Illinois Class Three felony that went to jail following the botched abortions on ''live birth''[induced labour] babies at Christ Hospital in Chicago in 1999 that survived for ''over an hour''outside of the womb before they died , denied immediate medical attention in violation of the aforementioned law.
