Uh, reality check? Have you seen the size of our deficit? HIGHEST ever and grew tremendously under Bush. Don'tcha think we need to relinquish those stupid tax cuts? How do you think we pay for anything in this country? We are floundering in debt!

While Obama hasn't specifically said he'll raise taxes on middle income workers, he HAS refused to consider extending the existing tax cuts that expire in 2010, so all he has to do is nothing and our taxes WILL go up. On top of that, he'll raise the taxes further on those making over $250,000, cutting jobs. Also, how is he going to give tax credits of $1,000 per family (cost - over $100 Billion) and energy credits (cost - over $60 Billion) from the paltry $30 Billion from increased taxes on the "rich"?

Your dead wrong on Obama's tax record. Obama has repeatedly called for the repeal of the Bush tax cuts. The Democrat mantra has been to repeal "George Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy". They never define what that is so I assume that means all the tax cuts, which include child tax credits that were increased for anyone who had children. Obama has also called for the increase in capital gains taxes. No this doesn't tax your 401k right now, but it does impact Iras 401k when you access them in the future. Obama clearly wants to raise taxes on everyone who has a retirement plan invested in stocks. Why can't Obama and the media be honest about that! You need a fact checker to check you guys.

I'm not so sure about your implicit contention that Canada, Mexico, and the U.K. , do, in fact, "like us".
