So if Kissinger changes his position after the debate, it qualifies as an Obama fact error? No chance that he felt bad about helping the opposition?

Appropriate to go to war with a random country before we go to war with a country that houses our attackers? What sense does that make? And by the way he didn't send a letter of resignation and yes it matters! Making up stories to somehow make yourself look better...again that's the type of President you want? not very reassuring
The current gas lines and gas stations with no gas in the Southeast including Georgia and North Carolina are just a prelude of what we can expect under Barack Obama and Joe Biden energy policies of limited offshore exploration and no new refineries. Although these gas lines are a result of recent hurricaine that hit Galveston and the Gulf coast, they are indicative of the tenuous nature of our refinery capacity and existing supplies of petroleum. Do you think, oil companies are going to invest in the future in new refineries in the United States given the tepid Democratic Party leadership support of the oil industry and their insistence on mandates for alternative energy sources. So I hope all the people currently driving around looking for gas are really diehard Obama supporters otherwise they may just question the energy policies of their leader and realize their tire air pressure guage is not going to help them with an empty gas tank.
President Jimmy Carter used to say the same thing while he wore his trademark sweaters and said that we needed to turn the thermostat down and put on our sweaters to stay warm. I think a lot of independent voters are not happy with Democratic Party energy policies. People do not like to stand in gas lines or have to push their cars.
3% of the worlds oil....we consume 25%...when you figure that one out please let us all know. It's a band-aid and we've had 8 years of band-aids. Ready for 4 more?
From Russia. Russia has attacked Georgia? As though at USA investigation does not work. What was on August, 8th knows nobody? After worthless war of Georgia with Ossetia - USA it is a shame with the military advisers? Now you demand connection of Ossetia with Georgia after Georgians destroyed the population of Ossetia? USA would prefer in Ossetia the Netherlands peacemakers who have dishonoured cowardice of the United Nations and the Netherlands on the Balkans? To you it is not necessary neither Georgia, nor Ossetia - to you is necessary oil.
I am a veteran and I am disgusted by the lies that McCain spews about his love for vets. He has repeatedly voted against increased funds for the VA to support injured Iraq vets and tried to take credit for the new GI Bill that he voted against! Nobody challenges him because of his service but I think it's time that someone does! He has a 20% approval rating from Disabled Veterans of America! That shows how much we love him....what a joke...quit hiding behind your POW status and start to stand up for our vets and stop the false claims." We all know that you know that we don't like you!"
Senator John McCain picked Governor Sarah Palin because he intends to follow through and make his Project Lexington for United States energy independence the dominant issue in this campaign. Governor Sarah Palin is a strong supporter of increased offshore drilling and she knows that Alaska has an offshore coastline greater than the rest of the country combined and is also comes in second among the states in oil production. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and John McCain understand that Obama and the Democrats would never consider government loan guarantees or tax breaks for a sure thing that will produce energy for the American gas tank. In fact Democrats are trying to put together a so-called windfall profits tax which will have the effect of discouraging future investment in the United States oil industry. John McCain also knows that Governor Sarah Palin family situation also illustrates that longterm Democratic leadership hostility and policies toward United States owned energy companies have caused our current energy crisis. Her husband works for British Petroleum but instead should be working for the former American owned Arco Oil Company. Arco Oil Company developed and explored the Alaska North Slope and formerly owned eighty percent of our proven Alaskan reserves. With its substantial oil reserves Arco Oil Company should have bought British Petroleum instead of British Petroleum buying out Arco Oil Company during the second Bill Clinton administration. With the right business environment and support from both political parties in the United States, Arco Oil Company might have been more successful and been able to buy out British Petroleum instead of British Petroleum buying out Arco Oil Company. Look at Apple Computer and Microsoft. Their success in the computer world have made them bullet proof to corporate takeovers. Longterm Democratic hostility and opposition to offshore drilling and periodic talk of windfall profits taxes contributed to the takeover of Arco Oil Company.
McCain's rhetoric about "needing to win in Iraq" scared the *** out of me.
There's no "win" in Iraq. We lost the first day we went into that country. McCain says that "it's all interconnected" when it's not. Iraq has next to nothing to do with the Taliban, and that war has only *increased* anti-American sentiment around the world. McCain has it backwards.
It's the same argument of patriotism over practicality that was used in Vietnam. We can't "lose" a war because it would be devastating to the American people. But McCain has it backwards there too - "winning" this war has been absolutely economically and psychologically devastating to the American people.
We only win by getting out of there, and renewing the offensive in Afghanistan. The people who believe that we "have to win" in Iraq care more about appearances and pride than they do about realities and human lives.
I believe a McCain presidency would be a disaster for this reason alone.
Obama/Biden 2008
Sen. Obama needed to show the American people that he does know about foreign as well as domestic affairs and he clearly did that well. John McCain has adopted the Karl Rove theory and that is to take the Opponents strong points and turn them into negatives. So when John McCain says Obama doesnot understand, you can be sure McCain knows that Obama understands. It was sad to watch McCain repeat the stale worn out Rove method, it may work in a negative TV ad but when the viewers are listening in real time to the response to the negativety, clearly they can hear and see for themselves and that worked against McCain, big time. The fact that Obama agreed with McCain on some points is not a negative but rather a positive because it shows the people that Obama knows the best way to work together is to find areas that you agree on and then clearly state the differences, a little give and take is what gets results that every one can live with.
McCAIN, NO MATCH FOR OBAMA! PALIN, NOT MATCHE FOR JOE BIDEN! DO DEMOCRATS GO! OBAMA/BIDEN, THE BEST CHOICE, NO OTHER CHOICE! WHEN THE DEMOCRATS WIN, THE PEOPLE WIN.
IT IS ABOUT TIME THAT THE EXTREMELY RICH PEOPLE, GIVE UP SOME OF THEIR MONEY FOR THE HAVE-LESS (THE POOR). I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT TAKING WHAT THEY HAVE ALREADY EARNED. I AM TALKING ABOUT WHAT THERE IS TO COME. OBAMA HAS THE RIGHT STRATEGY WHEN HE TALKS ABOUT FOLLOWING IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF PRESIDENT CLINTON (AND I DON'T MEAN TO MONICA'S HOUSE) WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO REVERSING THE LAW OF CONSERVATION OF WEALTH AND OPPORTUNITY.
IF THE MONEY APPEARS IN THE HANDS OF THE RICH, THEN IT DISAPPEARS FROM THE CHECKS OF THE POOR. THE MIDDLE CLASS IN AMERCIA HAVE NOW SUFFERED THIS LOSS AT THE HANDS OF THE EXTREMELY DISLIKED BUSH/McCAIN ADMINISTRATION.
THAT IS WHY McCAIN LOST THE FIRST DEBATE AND WILL LOSE ALL THE OTHERS, INCLUDING THE BIDEN/PALIN DEBATE. WITH THE MIDDLE CLASS AGAINST THE McPALIN TICKET TO NOWHERE, OBAMA WILL WIN IN NOVEMBER, BY NOON TIME!
WHAT? AM I GOING TO VOTE FOR THE McPALIN TICKET TO NOWHERE? HELL NO! THANKS, BUT NO THANKS!
You are incorrect on the issue of the value of health insurance being taxed . If the value of the health insurance is included in employees wages, then the employers will pay social security and medicate taxes on that amount, so Obama is correct.
With as much political experience as he has, McCain should have run away with the debate. As I watched McCain last night, my only thought was that at one time this man might have been a good President. That time has passed. Politibal ambition alone is not sufficient to recapture a moment when it has passed.
Obama, mentioned this country's loss of prestige and dominance on the world stage. Sadly for John McCain, he was a major player during much of the time when this country was in decline.
John McCain's season has passed, and he won't go quietly into that good night. In his attempt to capture the office, he is willing to inflict Ms. Palin on this nation in a critical moment. The John McCain of old would never have done that.
McCain looked like a fool last night; mind you, not primarily for his policy descriptions, but for the way he acted. Never did he look at Obama, always with that contemptuous grin, shaking his head, and using the word "naive" numerous times. McCain had to hold his disdain so many times, and it reminded me of in 2000 where Gore would constantly sigh at Bush's coments, and Gore was viewed as disrespectful and somewhat of a jerk; well McCain, by all accounts, fell into the same trap last night. I don't think there is anyone out there who can say, with a straight face, that Obama didn't appear more presidential last night.
The old man has a bad temper. This tends to deteriorate at his age. Not a good outlook for the next eight years. He has no backup whatsoever. If his lights go out in the middle of his office, we are truly sunk.
Im just amazed that his advisors didnt prepare him for the body language portion of the debates. The most disturbing part was during McCain's attempt to pronounce Ahmadinejad's name, and after two failed attempts, McCain showed frightening frustration and instability; his eyes alone at that moment were chilling.
It is worth a good study to see what part of the whole American vote for president is based on vague instinct and emotion. Given the extent to which the candidates stretch the truth and exaggerate in order to try to gain advantage over each other, the voters are left with less that they need to make a good choice.
One breath of fresh air, though, in the debate was the lack of injection of fear of attack and religious fervor that we had to put up with in the last presidential election. As well, it is refreshing to hear more argument about real issues and less about the things that presidents do not handle, such as abortion and the sexual habits of the citizenry. Good job. Much better. We can come out of this fog with either of these gentlemen.
However, given the age of the republican and the questionable abilities of his vice presidential choice, i tend to favor the democrat. First, he is cooler under fire and more reflective. Less prone to hasty decisions. Appears to have eight healthy years ahead of him, and i really can't say that about the republican. It is really not a coin flipper. The democrat wins, hands down.
I did not like McCain during the debate on Friday, September 26.
He is very arrogant and overbearing always trying to humiliate the other guy.
I have had bad bosses and good bosses. McCain reminds me of the Dictator Bosses.
I like Obama because he is more professorial, thinking and rational. He is the kind of guy that takes advice from others.
McCain will always act without any advice. He thinks that he is sufficient and has enough intelligence to decide all by himself.
I have a Blog on Young Voters, Race and Demographics :
http://milenials.blogspot.com/
Right Now and after November 5, I will work very hard collecting data on Racial Votes, Ethnic Material of Voters, Demographies and so on.
So that we will understand the New Demographic Tendencies. The importance of Latino Vote ( New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada, etc ... ). Feel free to contribute or to give advice to me. I am not self sufficient in intelligence like McCain.
