Why does the building say HI on the side? I guess it's just a friendly kind of place. HAHA :o)

I'm grateful tot hose who commit themselves refurbushing and recreating strutures that have gone unatended sometimes for decades. The Saarinen structture has inspired ever since I was a kid and isprobably in part the inspiration to start my business NJModern but when I start seeing fall apart its very personal to me. I look forward tothe next time I see it in all its renovated glory.

The article mentions workers carting out asbestos from the TWA building. Yet, despite all the problems related to it, asbestos is still imported and used in the U.S. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the U.S. imported and used an estimated 1,820 tons of asbestos in 2007 http://minerals.usgs.gov/minerals/pubs/commodity/asbestos/mcs-2008-asbes.pdf
And, the U.S. House of Representatives is considering a bill to ban the importation and use of asbestos in the U.S and to provide funding for research into the treatment of asbestos related diseases.
