Palin Is Ready? Please.

I think that questioning Palin's ability to take over as President is valid and something that we should all askoverselves in all honesty. I think that the biggest difference between Palin and Obama, experience aside is that he has curiosity of the world beeyond himself that Palin lacks. Obama has a hunger for reading and learning about world events, probaly since childhood. Palin, although a reasonably good governor has been content in her surrounding without the yearning or desire to explore outside of her surrounding. As a mothe I'm constantly encouraging my children to read books and newspaper. We are living in a global society today and need to be aware of other societies and cultures. I think that this is a major difference between Palin and Obama.

Obama's an extremist? WOW! That's one I hadn't heard before. Please, do tell. What makes Obama an extremist? This is one diatribe I'd LOVE to hear an explanation of.

I can see the moon from my backyard, maybe that has given me the right to say I have negotiated with the moon people about treaties and international affairs of planet earth.

Palin is out of her league.

He's taught constitutional law for a decade, which is very important when you consider that the current president and his party have wiped their butt with the Constitution over the last eight years.

No, and historically I cannot name one president who had his degree in economics. If someone knows, shout it out.

Here you go Palin fans...What has been exposed of Palin is called the Peter Principle. Eight years late, and this article has nothing to do with him.

When a person is properly vetted, they go through an interview process. When a person is improperly vetted, things come out sometimes in the worst possible fashion. When you saw Palin being interviewed by Couric, the answers that were given by her were unscripted. Unfortunately, questions were not asked of Palin like Couric and the three other interviews she gave as part of the vetting process. If she was asked anything like that before she was introduced, she would never have made the cut.

Sure you can practice for the debate. Sure you can even memorize some things, and perhaps we may see some improvement on her answers Thursday. However it does not change the fact she has gone way over her head with her abilities.

Btw George Will, David Frum, and David Brooks and Kathleen Parker have asked her to step down. Zakaria is now joined in the chorus of concern. I think that everyone should be taking a close look and think about one thing. Do you think based upon her interviews, that you can look at someone in their eye and say, I think Palin is presidential, and can take over in a moments notice?

Dear No American, if we can always give billions to the rich to bail out their dumb selfish deeds, wouldn't that money do well coming to welfare poor Americans whose money it is and let us spend it and build you back up. I'm tired that American people who pay taxes are never entitled to anything, it will raise the budget but no one blinks when we write checks to the rich. Give me a break.

Why do all the ignorant folks use all-caps? Is it genetic? Learned behavior? I'm not sure.

That's exactly what I've been noticing. Too many people are ridiculously loyal to a political party as if it's a football team. Even with someone as arrogantly ignorant as Palin on the Republican ticket, there is blind support.

Obama called McCain 'John' because that is his name, and they are colleagues in the Senate. Not only did McCain not call Obama 'Barack', he never addressed him by any name. It went along with not looking Barack at all during the debate. Thankfully, those who watched the debate clearly saw this as disrespectful and the polls reflect a clear victory for Obama.

Poor Palin. She has to answer basic questions about current issues. How unfair! Doesn't everyone know that a hockey mom has no time to read the papers?

I certainly hope Obama thinks a lot about the economy. By her comments, Palin certainly hasn't.

It also speaks of his "strategy." Palin was obviously an attempt to gain the women voters for Hillary Clinton. Apparently McCain believes the American people are stupid, but based on the die-hard McCain/Palin supporters...they just may be.
