Thank you for that. This woman is not capable of organised thought, end of. Shen can only spout talking points in any old order. I don't care if she got away with it so far - she can't manage even one complete sentence without getting distracted by the next association that pops into her head. Free association belongs on the psychoanalyst's couch, not in the VP's office.

    PALIN... GEORGE BUSH WITH LIPSTICK!

  • Posted By: walker1209 @ 09/29/2008 8:17:23 AM

Where the hell was the FOURTH ESTATE when Governor George Walker Bush was fed to the country.? For all of you genuises who forgot to do your homework during that period, don't try to overcompensate now! She is no less qualified to be Vice-President than Senator Obama is to be President. I am just afraid that the country has fallen for another con job by a bunch of con men who will stop at nothing to get their way.

By the way, this is one voter who doesn't give a damn what Jack Cafferty has to say about anything and Katie Couric is not what I would call a star interview!! Why don't all of you reporters do some real reporting - Barack Obama is not the Second Coming and I'm afraid that if elected, he will just be another empty suit.. As far as his choice for a running mate - PUH LEEESE!!!

Raised by a COMMUNIST, socializes with a TERRORIST and sat in a pew for over 20 years listening to a RACIST...... OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT? I'd take a short timer from outside the beltway vs. a Johnny-come-lately and a plagerizer.

blah blah blah, and that is the best you can do about Obama? OMG, sounds like you and Hannity share the same bed.

If you can put your hatred aside for a minute, and actually open your eyes and ears [I have to beleive you can read] you can read facts about B. Hussein Obama's relationships with the terrorist Ayers, the anti-american Wright, the mobster Reszko [who was convicted], his radical mentors through out his lifetime.!!!! Read with an open mind, and you may just be a bit wiser.

Face it, McCain is seventy-two. Was a hard drinking party boy and suffered great physical & mental abuse as a pow, His father died at seventy, his grandfather at seventy-one. Does anyone in their right mind really want to take a chance of having Sarah & Todd running this country? God help us and the world as we know it!!!!

Thanks for this, I always think of his 90 plus mother but the male genes are telling us something!! Scary. People are voting for Palin one way or another and they better wake up. Sad. Sad for her too. Too much ambition, too soon out of the clear blue north. Not ready for Prime Time-EXCEPT on Saturday Night Live.

    To Tina49

"Comment: Why? Because she wants to attack your beloved Pakistan?"

This has nothing to do with attacking Pakistan. Please spare us the personal attacks.

"Let's have Biden drop out first. He didn't know that FDR was not the President when the stock market crashed. Bush didn't know who the President of Pakistan was yet we didn't hear calls for him to bow out. When Tim Russert asked Obama and Hillary Clinton who the new President of Russia was after Putin, Obama didn't have a clue. The President of Russia, he didn't know anything about!! "

Why are you changing the topic? Obama is a lot smarter than Palin.

"The truth is that this sounds to women just like Hillary's campaign, when pig headed sexist men called for her to drop out so that King Obama could assume his throne. Not so fast, I say. Sarah Palin shouldn't drop out until all you dumb ass men drop out first. She's more experienced than Obama. He says he's run a campaign of 79 people so that qualifies him to be President. She's run a government of 29,000 people. Women are tired of unqualified men taking their slot. "

Give me a break. If she can't handle an interview right, what confidence does it give you as leader of this country? I'd rather have an outstanding person than not as VP.

"I've been to Pakistan and India. It's not pretty. You still burn women alive. We women in the US want a female President just like African Americans want a black President. Women are 54% of the electorate. We should be represented, even if you men don't like it."

Just because she's a woman, it doesn't mean all women will vote for her. I'd vote for her if she were qualified, but judging from her interviews, it seems that she's just not qualified enough to be VP.

Many Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Liberatarians, Non Political Afilliated members All feel the same about Sarah Palin. She will soon Drop Out Anyway

Jack Cafferty: If Sarah Palin Being One Heartbeat Away "Doesn't Scare The Hell Out Of You, It Should"

Jack Cafferty unloaded on Sarah Palin's "Disastrous" interview with Katie Couric Friday afternoon on CNN, telling Wolf Blitzer, "There's a reason the McCain campaign keeps Governor Palin away from the press."

After showing a clip of Palin stumbling over Couric's question about the bailout and offering an answer connecting the bailout to healthcare, Cafferty asked, "Did you get that?"

He warned the viewers: "If John McCain wins this woman will be one 72-year-old's heartbeat away from being President of the United States. And if that doesn't scare the hell out of you, it should."

    Watch:

Later, Cafferty continued, calling the clip "one of the most pathetic pieces of tape I have ever seen from someone aspiring to one of the highest offices in this country."

Note: If the above video didn't play for you, the below clip should work.

Cafferty's concerns were echoed by "a growing number of Republicans," according to Politico's Alexander Burns and David Paul Kuhn:

A growing number of Republicans are expressing concern about Sarah Palin's uneven -- and sometimes downright awkward -- performances in her limited media appearances.

Conservative columnists Kathleen Parker, a former Palin supporter, says the vice presidential nominee should step aside. Kathryn Jean Lopez, writing on the conservative National Review, says "that's not a crazy suggestion" and that "something's gotta change."

Tony Fabrizio, a GOP strategist, says Palin's recent CBS appearance isn't disqualifying but is certainly alarming. "You can't continue to have interviews like that and not take on water."

"I have not been blown away by the interviews from her, but at the same time I haven't come away from them thinking she doesn't know s--t," said Chris Lacivita, a GOP strategist. "But she ain't Dick Cheney, nor Joe Biden and definitely not Hillary Clinton."

As a former big fan of McCain, I'm wondering where that guy I used to want running this country has gone? It's baffling. Sarah Palin is an embarrassment that no amount of tutoring can save. If he wanted a woman, there were plenty to pick from. What he wanted was an idealogue. That's a problem. So many of us moderates were ready to embrace McCain to bring the party back to its principles and now he's gone off and given the religious right a big fat wet kiss. I'm done. Obama it is.

Thank goodness someone is willing to speak the truth about Sarah Palin. The McCain campaign came out immediately after Palin was announced as the V. P. choice spouting all this nonsense about sexism and now noone wants to vet her as they would if she were a man who had her qualifications (or lack thereof). What I find as a woman to be sexist is treating her like some hothouse flower who will expire under close examination. If she cannot stand up to the media scrunity how in the world do McCain thinks she will do with foriegn leaders. Her photo op with her beating on her chest in an 'I'm Jane' manner with a foriegn leader does not cut it for knowledge and substance in foriegn affairs. I hope Joe Biden will debate with her as if she were a man, no cutting her any slack or holding back because she is a female. If Hillary Clinton was not spare because she is a woman (who happens to have over two decades of public service to back her up) why should Sarah Palin be goven preferrential treatment. If Palin can't handle the heat than she needs to get out the kitchen. Or in Palin's case she needs to go back in the kitchen.

I thing sincerely MaCain must have been biting his fingers now for a very wrong choice in Palin & Todd choice for VP, this isin't what MaCain bargain for, she really embrassing to the nation as great as America, whom the whole world is watching, seen how naive, un-prepare, and absolutely lack of intelligent this woman called Palin is, mine you there is no gender issue here but we are talking about America. There great women in good position within the republican party that Macain could have chosen from and not Palin for Christ sake. God help us. posted by donekpo2002@yahoo.com

You know, the dumbness of American people to realize the gravity of this whole situation is amazing. At one point do we realize this is not American Idol nor a dumb reality show. This is real and it affects everyone and the bottom line is it's all about racism. This is not a time to look at someone because of their color but their intellect to get us out of this mess that McCain and the rest of the greedy, I'll call it, whites and Republicans have put this world in.

You should be embarassed and outraged at this Palin pick and McCain pick, for that fact. Wake up before we are all blown away by America's continued stupidity. This is real life not TV. I personally think we need to sink completely to get the attention of these uneducated Americans and greed stricken Americans.

your right she should get out now she doesn't even know how to to hundreds of thousands of dollars from all these companies that are going out of business. But if only she could campaign for another 6 months then she will be as qualified as obama.

the inadequacies of mrs. palin are clearly demonstrated by the direct quotation of her responses. what is, to me, even more important, is what choosing her as a running mate says of mr. mccain. is palin his choice? if so, what are we to conclude about his judgment? if it is not his choice (but that of his campaign directors) what are we to think of his character. either way, this choice disqualifies mccain for the presidency.

I can see the Moon from my front porch! (It appears to be made of green cheese.) Do not feel sorry for Sarah Palin. She no doubt believes that she has been chosen by God, plucked out of obscurity, like the prophets of the Old Testament, by the direct hand of God, to serve some mission (abolishing abortion and contraception; perhaps bringing on the End Times.)

  • Posted By: ismene @ 09/29/2008 6:46:28 AM

Sarah Palin got me at "hello", she got me to want to say "goodbye." As a white woman, middle-class, older I should have wanted to embrace her, but it just made me jump on board the Obama Liner and sail away. She is an insult to the many women in politics who have worked their way through the bottom ranks with intelligence and elegance. If she gets back to Alaska soon she might just catch the end of moose-hunting season.

Add to this the fact that McCain is old, the oldest ever if elected. To put his country first, this placed an extra burden of responsibility to choose someone ready to be president. He failed in yet another huge error of judgement.
