Palin Is Ready? Please.

The best comment I've seen so far is from a Rebublican operative who said, basically, that the Jaws of Life couldn't pry a coherent sentence out of Palin. Has it not become painfully obvious that this Trophy Veep is way in over her head? What else do we need to see? McCain shields her from reporters, she is only let out of the cage when GOP operatives think she may rise to the occasion (but doesn't) in one-to-one interviews, and she consistently shows that she can't string 2 sentences together that make any sense whatsoever. She's one melanoma from being the President if McCain is elected. If this doesn't send fear up your spines, then you deserve what you get.

I'm sure the Saturday Night Live staff hopes Palin stays in the race for the duration. She's lightened their writing load considerably. They don't even have to scrpt skits for Tina Fey's Palin. Just hand Tina the transcript from Palin's own most recent interview and let let her breeze through it. Fey's airhead Palin was a hoot last night -- until I realized that those disconnected, meadering words were straight out of Silly Sarah's own mouth.

Of course, if we were to compare IQs, she wouldn't have any. Of course, her interviewing style is something she learned in her beauty pageant days. It doesn't matter what you say as long as you smile and twinkle and are cheery. The more serious concern is who would manage her presidency should we suddenly get stuck with her. That would be Cheney and ilk. Even conservatives are calling for her to step down. But McCain's really infatuated with her and grateful to her for the crowds and attention. He's called her his soul mate. Cindy loves her too. They are going to have to outvoted. That's the only way not to have this happen to the nation and the world.

THANK YOU for addressing the 800 pound gorilla in the election. As a woman, I have no problem saying that Palin is totally out of her league. I was willing to give McCain a honest shot at my vote, but his last minute choice of someone so obviously lacking in credentials is truly astounding. Anyone who is the least bit interested in the major domestic and international issues our country is facing could sound more intelligent - and that is without the help of any outside experts. She clearly has never given any thought to these issues. NO WAY WOULD VOTE FOR MCCAIN NOW- WITH OR WITHOUT PALIN.

Palin was thrust upon the campaign by Tony Perkins and James Dobson to mollify the Christian rightists, who weren't in the McCain camp until then. She is a blank slate, an empty pantsuit. Truly an example that religion and politics shouldn't mix.

Therese you are typical of the moronic, rote like mantra of conservatives everywhere who find it near impossible to face reality and accept (and tell) the truth. You cannot honestly, hand on heart, summoning on your intelligence and acuity think that given the overwhelming evidence on Palin at this point in time, that she is in the slightest part capable of being Vice President, and indeed, President. Therese in NV...why would be scared? Have you not noticed that Obama is up by 8 points in a nationwide poll? As far as Palin's budgetary experience...Wasilla went from a zero deficit to a 20 million dollar deficit under her mayorship. Her big project in Alaska was building a hockey rink on land that the state didn't even own which has caused the state million in lawsuits. Just because you have the experience doesn't mean you did it well. And last...are you insinuating that our friends in Canada are a national security problem that she had to deal with???

Palin is chaming, attractive and has a great story to tell about field dressing a Moose. He can deliver a cute line about "hockey moms", lipstick and pitbulls.

But this "hockey mom" is simply out of her depth as it is clear to see in the interviews. It was painful to watch someone so incredibly ignorant try to pretend that they knew what they were talking about.

We live in very serious times and it is an insult to our great country that the GOP would nominate someone so unqualified and frivilous to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency. Running for the American Vice Presidency is a little bit different than competing for "Amercian Idol" .

McCain is known for making impulsive decisions at the last minute. Its tiime for him to put the country above politics and get the hook.

She is not even ready to answer a simple question! So, how can she be ready to lead America should Mccain die?? Let???s be objective in analyzing this situation. The woman DOES NOT have the mental capacity to even comprehend a question or give a straight answer during her interviews. She really is the best vp candidate they can come up with? I thought intelligence was a requirement in running for public office. I guess I was wrong. To all hardworking Americans, it???s a waste to go to college so that you can become smarter and more knowledgeable. Do it the Sarah Palin way to become successful! Become a hockey mom and run for public office. If you can come up with enough BS, then people full of BS will elect you and even better, you can even become the President of the greatest nation in the world! How amazing is that??? It is truly the American dream!

I think someone who cares about Sarah should clue her in on what is going on. I believe she is not from our world. I also think that if McCain puts our country first as he wants us to believe then he should take her off the ticket. Palin needs to tell the world that she forgot she had an appointment to take Bristol to parenting classes and she needs to concentrate on her family. Withdraw from the election and do the Republicans a favor.

Sarah Palin will get, as consolation prize, a job as a TV commentator in Fox News, which is what she studied for, and always wanted to be. A likely title: "Nowhere Politics".
