    The author is correct:

MCCAIN PICKING PALIN IS A SIGN OF IRRESPONSIBILITY.

You want more such examples from McCain?

Look at his career. Look at last week, the week before a few months back.

McCain yells with conviction "FIRE COX!" one day, and the very next day he says: "DOING A HECK OF A JOB COX!". Huh?

McCain states over and over on Monday "ECONOMY IS SOUND", and Tuesday /Wed 4 financial institutions fail and rock the stock market (let alone the fact that we already lost 600,00 jobs in 2008). On Thursday McCain reverses course and yells "THIS IS AN ECONOMIC CRISIS!"

But you would expect these sorts of confused statements from a man who often admitted he knows little about economics and the economy.

    You want him for president?

You want Palin as his backup plan?

    God help America.

Not a very bright move throwing Hillary under the bus like that!

Now you have a dude that digs having a police state in Missouri with his "Truth Squad" to hassle anyone speaking against Barry O. Gestapo tactic anyone??

Things to come with a Barry O. in charge. You Libs OK with that?

Oh yea, and Barry want's the US to take care of GLOBAL Poverty. Where is all that money going to come from?

what bothers me most about Palin is the obvious lack of curiosity she has regarding world and natioanl affairs. the world is made of many different layers and she appears to be only interested in those layers that directly affect her lifestyle. with no personal positions on any foreign places or things that are tangible to the nation, she is an empty suit when the nation needs a CEO.

And please stop comparing this lady to Obama. I will happily take the leadership of a man who graduated at the top of his class from columbia, found his calling by working with the poor in the inner city, returned to law school and became the 1st Black to lead the Harvard Law Review, became a successful Constitutional lawyer, a Constitutional Law Professor, a State Senator, a National Senator, and the Democratic Nominee for President vetted by 18 Million voters. until Mr. McSame let alone Ms. Palin recieves 18 Million votes please stop comparing these candidates.

our problems in the world call for our brightests minds to solve them, otherwise we as a nation are on the verge of unbelievable hardship. the repugs have dug a whole so deep it will take all of us to get out. we don't have time for a learning curve and until Ms. Palin can assure me she even knows the constitution, I would rather she keep riding her "snow machine" into the sunset.

Mc Same supporters can continue to ride on the staight talk express with the 2 under achievers, one who was 5th from the bottom of a class of 899 and the other who failed community collage and finally graduated collage after attending multiple schools. I choose to go with someone smarter than myself, with the training behind them (the constitution) to lead.

I am sure there are some people in this country without a vast ivy league education that can take the helm of our country and lead without a problem but, Ms. Palin is just not one of them. It is the American Dream to pull yourself up and succeed, but don't destroy my country by stepping into shoes 100 sizes too big.

I will take Obama's elitism and intelligence to run our country than dumb/dumber dipstick/lipstick to do the same job.

      • Posted By: moniqueO @ 09/28/2008 2:23:20 PM

Ummmm, Little Lipstick BoY is running against McCain. I question your little Adolfs intelligence!

  • Posted By: skagway @ 09/28/2008 6:03:19 AM

You are being too hard on Sarah. If McCain croaks she can get Cheney and Rumsfeld to do her thinking for her.

      .

I will take that over a Radical SOCIALIst with bad judgement any day!

20 YEARs CLOSE friends with a Radical Racist anti-American Rev. Wright.
15 YEARs friendship and business partners with an anti-America hating terrorist Bill Ayers.

      Now,

The Gestapo tactics of intimidation of Barry Os "Truth Squad" little brown shirts down in Missouri! He is being reveled as a Chicago thug with the nickname little Adolf.

      See a pattern anyone??
It is all about Little Barry running for PRES, and the lefties are afraid of Sarah as a VP?

Jealous? Too bad you threw Hillary under the bus without really knowing what you bought with your little Adolf. Everyone was afraid to check him out because they would be called a racist for questioning him. You are stuck with him now, and have a bumbling gaff machine for a VP.

Jealous and distraught? No other reason for the lefties to be so violent about a VP pick.

Can you just imagine how the Libs would be reacting if the Repub came out with a "TRUTH SQUAD"??

Senator John McCain picked Governor Sarah Palin because he intends to follow through and make his Project Lexington for United States energy independence the dominant issue in this campaign. Governor Sarah Palin is a strong supporter of increased offshore drilling and she knows that Alaska has an offshore coastline greater than the rest of the country combined and is also comes in second among the states in oil production. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and John McCain understand that Obama and the Democrats would never consider government loan guarantees or tax breaks for a sure thing that will produce energy for the American gas tank. In fact Democrats are trying to put together a so-called windfall profits tax which will have the effect of discouraging future investment in the United States oil industry. John McCain also knows that Governor Sarah Palin family situation also illustrates that longterm Democratic leadership hostility and policies toward United States owned energy companies have caused our current energy crisis. Her husband works for British Petroleum but instead should be working for the former American owned Arco Oil Company. Arco Oil Company developed and explored the Alaska North Slope and formerly owned eighty percent of our proven Alaskan reserves. With its substantial oil reserves Arco Oil Company should have bought British Petroleum instead of British Petroleum buying out Arco Oil Company during the second Bill Clinton administration. With the right business environment and support from both political parties in the United States, Arco Oil Company might have been more successful and been able to buy out British Petroleum instead of British Petroleum buying out Arco Oil Company. Look at Apple Computer and Microsoft. Their success in the computer world have made them bullet proof to corporate takeovers. Longterm Democratic hostility and opposition to offshore drilling and periodic talk of windfall profits taxes contributed to the takeover of Arco Oil Company.

McCain's choice of Palin is completely reckless and self-serving. It also displays an ego that is convinced of immortality.

  • Posted By: sparklingcider @ 09/28/2008 11:38:54 AM

I pity Gov. Palin. She's taken on a role she thought she could handle only to be faced with the blunt reality she is so behind the curve that she's reduced to parroting views of others in an illogical, incoherent fashion. It seems like she needs to sit down, go through the issues herself, and figure out what her own positions are.

And, if history does repeat itself, Obama's intelligence may work against him. There's a reason the smartest person on the ballot never wins -- national issues are often too complex for a simple answer, but simple answers are what resonate with the American populace.

I don't feel a bit sorry for her. She accepted the nomination without questioning her own skills, she did no soul-searching and let her own lust for power dictate her actions. If you watch the Sat. Night Live skit with Tina Fey as Palin being interviewed by Katie Couric, and then watch the actual Palin/Couric interview, you can see how clueless she is and realize that she is unable to grasp these concepts. She is dangerous, and she should step down

Don't underestimate her debate perfdormance. With ten days of prepping and skills sge displayed in debatsew when running for Governor she may surprise us. Anyone can memorize lines to say as answers to questions that will be asked. Unfortnat;y what we have seen is that she stumbles over these memeorized lines in interviews but a debate could bring out the best in her. Don't underestimate that a woman's good looks matter, sad to sday. I am still hopeful McCain will choose someone lese now taht today's Gallup has Obama with an 8 point lead.o

I saw Gene Robinson this morning on the Chris Matthews show and he made a statement about the Palin Vice Presidency that I think is right on and that is, This is not a Republican problem this is an American problem. We should all be scared if McCain/Palin win!

if mccain won and die, God help us

  • Posted By: geeree @ 09/28/2008 1:41:46 PM

We can't take the risk that Palin would be our president should Mccain won and die. But I'm always voted republican so I am hoping Palin, for the sake of our country, excuses herself from the ticket. Otherwise, I just simply stay out of the voting booth november because I do not want to be part of the reason cause a sad fate of our beloved country.

Like George Bush, Sarah Palin shows what happens when an mostly empty mind opens its mouth.

The first decision any president makes for his country is who will step up to take over the most important job in the world, should it be necessary. Obama chose Biden, who has helped to run the country since 1972, and who has served on many committees that placed him in a position to meet and negotiate with heads of other nations. McCain chose Palin, who has governed the smallest state in the country for 20 MONTHS. Nuff said.

Sarah has never evolved beyond the publicity stunt that McCain needed. Sarah is snarky, sarcastic entertainment, a Joan Rivers, brought in to hopefully entertain a swarm of giddy fans. Well, it worked...before it backfired. Sarah hasn't been anything more than Sen. McCain's grandstanding of the same type we saw with his 'campaign suspending.' Sarah has been fun entertainment. She needn't pretend to be more.

Moscow is closer to New York than it is to Anchorage. Does that make David Patterson a Russian expert?

  • Posted By: feet2fire @ 09/28/2008 1:10:32 PM

As a Democrat, I can't thank Sarah Palin enough for what she's done to help my party. She is better than $50,000,000 in campaign ads for Barack Obama.
Thank you Sarah, thank you, thank you, and hey, you look GREAT!

  • Posted By: outtacontext @ 09/28/2008 12:59:03 PM

I would also like to add that, in part, we should judge McCain (i.e. decide to vote for him or not) based on this most important choice. Why should he be given a "Get out of jail" card? If we don't think his vice presidential running mate is ready for this job, the presidency, or national and international politics then we should not vote for McCain.
