Real Mavericks should have six shooters at least, ya? Why can't they play Russian roulette with each other? Preferably with something single action, clip-fed and automatic.

Palin has to be the most vapid person to ever grace a podium. Paris Hilton at the VMAs looks like a Rhodes Scholar by comparison. Her utter inability to answer a question directly is equaled only by her astounding ability check her Blackberry behind the blind of her podium and regurgitate whatever fascist trash was being spoon fed to her by McCain inc. She's a folksy stock-schlock sock puppet of the right- a Derek Zoolander-esque, empty vessel of politics with the uncanny skill set of being able to vomit up keynote catchphrases of the extreme right quicker than Star Jones hitting the ladies room after gorging out at Sizzler.

It is moments like tonights debate, that make me wonder if her newborn child actually has Downs Syndrome, or that's simply an excuse for the fact that he was unfortunate enough to inherit Sara's sum total of a small prime number of firing neurons.

If this was any other country in the world, Sarah Palin would be laughed off stage while being pelted by rotten produce. She has zero grasp of international relations and politics beyond her little backwater bubble.

Case and point: This vapid twat believes the Shias are fighting is in Iraq. It's the Sunnis, douche nozzle. It's OSAMA Bin LADEN, not Osimi Bin Leadin'. And Pakistan does not share a border with Israel, as you insinuated.

Palin is a shameful, self serving *** who cares nothing for the common people- only the wealthy and the petroleum industry. And if elected, she will bury the not only the middle class, but the country as a whole. You think the economy sucks now? Just put her at the helm. Confidence without ability is often the greatest mark of stupidity kids.

*** Christ. If I was Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and she's ever at the helm of this sinking ship USA, I'd wanna nuke us too.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday again shows Barack Obama attracting 51% of the vote while John McCain earns 44%. For each of the past eight days, Obama has been at 50% or 51% and McCain has been at 44% or 45% (see trends). New polling shows Obama pulling away in New Hampshire and opening a growing lead in the Electoral College projections.

The Rasmussen Reports Balance of Power Calculator shows Obama leading in states with 217 Electoral College votes while McCain has the edge in states with 174 votes. When ???leaners??? are included, Obama leads 264-185 These trends are becoming ominous signal to me that unless McCain pulls something out of the hat, and knocks out Obama, the separation will only become larger. McCain must see the bailout proposal pass today, otherwise he will have greater difficulty until the election.

For some of you who try to knock Obama down with obscure references, and be repeating yourself over and over again over the same material about how bad he is, will not change the momentum on a macro level. Perhaps a micro level, which will do absolutely nothing to change the course of direction of the race. Perhaps your venting is a catharsis to you. The writing is on the wall. A little bit of Deja vu for Hillary fans.

You can try to spin the debate any way you want, Palin regained her dignity, Biden won the debate. I will be back after the next debate on Tuesday. Ciao

    from "fact of The Matter"
    http;//www.need4trth.blogspot.com

The debate with Senator Biden and Governor Palin was interesting yet, instructional. Governor Palin demonstrated tonight that she is really a PUPPETTED MOUTHPIECE of the Republican Party. On a personal note: I became convinced the Gov. Sarah Palin was a forced choice for VP on the Republican side, that it was last minute, and that it was totally for 'POLITICAL EXPEDIENCY'.

Tonight we saw an image, a very beautiful, dressed up, republican image, of an RNC,, SYCOPHANT. Perfect analogy. Dictionary.com defines sycophant as a self-seeking, servile flatterer; fawning parasite. In modern terms, "A yes man/woman, flunky fawner, flatterer. Nothing more. Governor Palin demonstrated this perfectly. She in other words was the perfect "republican talking point".

Governor Palin tried to attack Senator Biden on supposedly flip-flopping on issues of which he now agrees with Senator Obama and at one point had agreed and supposedly even endorsed Bush/McCain's war strategies. This accusation led Senator biden to trounce the policies of Bush/McCain by pointing out the failures of hese policies especially our position in NATO as to not be a dictatorship, as Bush/McCain have allowed and endorsed as diplomatic policy. It was a wonderful moment of silencing a someone parroting a republican lie. I loved the fact that Senator Biden used the term of the title of this blog "Fact of the Matter." The Fact of The Matter is Governor Palin came out on the stage to Parrot Lies.

One of the most defining arguments occurred when Governor Palin endorsed The Bush Cheney, idea of what is the job of the vice president. Senator Biden pointed it out that the Constitutions latitude for the Vice President was very smaller than that of which Cheney abused it's powers as. The defining job of the Vice Presidents role is two things, in the unfortunate event that the sitting President dies the Vice President then steps in to that office. the other definition of the office of Vice President is too be the tie breaker in the senate vote. Biden knocked that one out of the ballpark.

THE MAVERICK REFORMER IMAGE OF JOHN MCCAIN STRIPPED AND LAID BARE FOR WHAT IT IS A LIE......

One final comment I have is this the title, "Maverick", which the Corporate Media has invented for John McCain, was thoroughly undone when Biden went down the voting record of a POLITICAL YES-MAN that is McCain's TRUE record. Many things which have adversely affected our economy, our standing in the world, but especially Main Street. John McCain has shown non support for the regular American person, which would constitute a Maverick standing. It was pointed out that McCain sided with Bush on all of the failed policies of this Administration. I LOVED IT.

Marcus, America doesn't need changing, its worked just fine for over 200 years; its some of the policies in the government that need changing---not the country.

IN MY OPINION: PALIN IS NOT STUPID; SHE CAN WALK AND CHEW GUM AT THE SAME TIME WITHOUT BITTING HER TONGUE. FORTUNEATLY, THE AMERICAN VOTERS ARE NOT STUPID EITHER! THEY KNOW A FAKE AND A FRAUD WHEN THEY SEE ONE! AND PALIN AND McCAIN ARE TWO OF A KIND: LIARS. THEY ARE BEHAVING LIKE WANNA-BE DEMOCRATS. THEY ARE IMMITATING THE DEMOCRATIC PLATFORM WHICH CALLS FOR A CHANGE WE NEED.

PALIN AND McCAIN COPIED THIS CONCEPT SINCE THEY ARE PART OF THE SAME REPUBLICAN PARTY THAT BROUGHT THE U.S. INTO THIS ECONOMIC DITCH. PALINAND McCAIN CALL CHANGE GIVING THE RICH MORE LEWAY TO MAKE MORE MONEY. THE CHANGE THE DEMOCRATS ARE CALLING FOR IS TO CHANGE THE POLITICAL PARTY THAT HAS BEEN RUNNING THE GOVERNMENT FOR THE LAST EIGHT YEARS! THIS IS THE DIFFERENCE!

DO THE MATH: 8 + 4 = 12! HELL NO! 12 NO! HELL NO! 12 NO! THANKS, BUT NO THANKS! VOTE DEMOCRAT; WHEN THE DEMOCRATS WIN, THE PEOPLE WIN!

    Guns are un-christian

    • Posted By: star3 @ 10/02/2008 11:01:03 PM

frenchguy, guns are an American right, our constitution gives us the right to have them. Being a christian does not mean being a whimp, nor does it mean sitting around with a Bible in your hands 24/7; what it means is a belief in Jesus Christ as the savior of mankind, and a belief in trying, as best we can, as humans, to live by His teachings. We have not, and can not do anything to earn our right to Heaven, or to eternal life, that is a free gift from our Heavenly Father through Jesus, so there is no amount of good deeds we can do in an effort to win our place in God's kingdom, the only thing required from us is to accept His gift, to acknowledge that Jesus is our savior, and if we do that, it will come natural that we will want to be the best person we can be, and not dishonor him by immoral behavior, and to help those in need when we can, but being fallible humans, we will not, always, be able to conform to those things we know to be proper behavior, so we are thankful to God for forgivness. Being christian does not mean we can not defend ourselves, our family, our country; the Bible is full of stories of followers ot Jesus who were not shy a bit about doing what was neccessary to defend themselves. Jesus was born into the House of David, the king, who was a terrific warrior before he became king, and he was not a bit opposed to using devious methods to acheive his goals. As King, he had an affair with one of his soldiers wives, then when she became pregnant, he sent the soldier husband to the front of the battle, where he was killed, as David knew he would no doubt be. He then married Basheba, the widow. Later, he was very remorseful of what he had done, and God forgave him, and eventually, God's son, Jesus was born of that lineage. So, maybe you may want to argue with our creator, but I won't. Back to the subject of guns, its not the guns that are the problem, its the irresponsible use of them by some people. There are some people who are irresponsible drivers, but should all of us give up driving our cars because of a few who are idiots? Are autos, also, un-christian in that respect? How about our tools---hammers, knives, sissors, saws---the list is endless. We just need to use common sense.

I want someone to save lives, not send our / your children to their death all because of a lie about WMD.
I want a leader that is concerned with health care, jobs, raising wages to a respectable level, not some wanker and his bubble-brained offsider talking up patriotism and religious views. If American vote McCain in they will fall deeper into the inequality hole.aerica votes

    UNDERSTAND THIS STAR3

1."WE" WANT OBAMA AND BIDEN-OBAMA IS LEADING IN OHIO BY 8 POINTS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD

    2. HOW CAN YOU BLAME 2 YEARS OF A DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (THAT IS UNDER THE EXECUTIVE RULE OF BUSH THAT IS SO STRONG CHENEY HAS HIS OWN BRANCH AND STOOGES LIKE KARL ROVE CAN IGNORE GOVERNMENT SUPBEANOS) VERSUS 8 YEARS OF BUSH AND 6 YEARS OF THE REPUBLICANS. YOU CAN TRY TO REVISE HISTORY ALL YOU WANT BUT THE NUMBERS SAY THAT THE COUNTRY HAS BEEN GOING DOWN THE TUBES EVER SINCE BUSH WALKED INTO OFFICE WITH JUST TAX CUTS FOR JUST THE RICH.

3.SOCIALISM? MAYBE IT'S CALLED CLEANING UP BUSH'S MESS. HOW IRONIC PAULSON, BUSH AND CHENEY ARE THE ONES WHO ARE PUSHING THE BAILOUT BILL?! THE TOP 3 REPUBLICANS IN THE NATION.

    4. COMPARING OBAMA TO HITLER IS FUNNY? CAN I COMPARE BUSH AND MCCAIN THE LUCIFER? I MEAN -AMERICANS HAVEN'T STOPPED DYING IN BUNCHES(9-11, IRAQ WAR, HURRICANE KATRINA RESPONSE......ETC) SINCE BUSH HAS TAKEN OFFICE. REPUBLICAN AGENDA HAS BROUGHT HELL ON EARTH TO THIS COUNTRY-TO A POINT IT'S ACTUALLY REACHING FOREIGN MARKETS AND SOIL. WHY THE "F" DO YOU THINK CHINA BASICALLY OWNS US? WHT THE "F" DO YOU THINK BUSH AND MCCAIN WON'T CLOSE THE BORDERS? WHY YOU THINK SADDAM IS DEAD..............BUT BIN LADEN IS STILL ALIVE?

IN OTHER WORDS...............................GET YOUR HEAD OUT YOUR ASS DUDE. BY THE WAY-COMPARING PALIN TO DAN QUAYLE IS AN INSULT TO DAN QUAYLE..................SERIOUSLY.

Careful what you ask for, you may get it, then live to regret it. The country began its desent into oblivion shortly after the congress became a Democrat majority. Clinton allowed Bin Laden to get away, Oliver North tried to tell Senator Al Gore in 1987, when being questioned about his spending so much on a home security system, that Bin Laden was the most dangerous man on the face of the earth, and should be eliminated, but Gore was just patronizing and nothing was ever done about Laden, and 9/11 was the result of that mistake---a democrat mistake. Stop trying to cover up for them, I may be just one voice here, but don't under estimate the American public, most of us are smarter than the average bear, and can see, hear, and make observations, and our antenna is all the way up concerning things in Washington, and this election. I am not dismissing the fact that some Republicans are just as corrupt as some Democrats, so that is why we have to do double duty with staying alert to situations. I may be proven wrong, you may be proven wrong, or we both may be proven wrong, but my basic instincts do not trust Obama or Biden, and I have learned through experience to trust my instincts. I'm sure your instincts tell you something different, so we'll both just have to wait and see, won't we? Now, I am going to check out a couple of websites that have been posted here, to find out what he hype is all about. I don't want to appear narrow minded, but I, also, don't want to be so opened mined that every kind of junk seeps in, so I try to check things out, then filter the junk. Later..

Sarah Palin is a fraud. She was pregnant before she got married, has had an affair with one of her husband's friends, her 19 year old son is rumored to have serious drug problems, her 17 year old unwed daughter is pregnant, and she has used her political power to get even with people who disagree with her, yet all she talks about is being a "good Christian" and doing God's will. As a Christian she is a hypocrite who can not walk her talk, and as a politician she is completely unqualified to be Vice President. Her interview with Katie Couric showed her to be a woman with a disorganzied mind, a woman who is in over her head, utterly unprepared for the twist her fate has taken.

Even committed Republicans who support McCain have to ask themselves if they really would take the risk of putting our country into Palin's hands. Sure, being VP doesn't necessarily take a lot of skills, but being President requires great intelligence and a clear-eyed world view, one untainted by religious fanaticism. Look at the mess we got with the under-qualified Dubya, and even he seems smarter and less fanatical than Palin. McCain is 72 years old, with high cholesterol and high blood pressure; his father and grandfather each died of heart attacks at age 72. McCain's Vice President HAS to be ready to lead. And by lead, I am not referring to a full speed charge into Armageddon.

For those of you who don't know, Palin belongs to a fundamentalist church that believes the end of the world is near: that war, financial distress and famine will kill off the sinful non-believers, and that when this holocaust occurs all good Christians will be taking refuge in Alaska. Furthermore, her church conducts witch hunts -- they actually use prayer to locate "witches" in their community, then publicly brand them as witches, and hold them responsible for everything that goes wrong in town. (Honestly, I think the long winters must be getting to their minds.) You can go on YouTube and watch videos of Palin participating during sermons like this. She stands on the altar facing the members. The congregation stands with outstretched hands, trancelike, speaking in tounges while the priest prays to "keep Sarah safe from all forms of witchcraft."

Could you REALLY feel comfortable knowing that a woman who holds these beliefs would have the power to declare war and deploy nuclear missiles?

    • Posted By: star3 @ 10/02/2008 2:02:23 AM

Nins, I am to assume you know all this because you were present during the conception of her child before she & her husband were married, and, of course, you must have been a fly on the wall when she had this "affair".. Gosh, how very patriotic of you to care so much for the rest of us that you went to all that trouble to "protect" us from a potential danger from the person you knew would one day be a candidate for VP. And, I'm assuming. also, that you certainly did the same for us by making sure you were present during all of Obama's & Biden's underhanded deeds. Where on earth were you during the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac dealings?! We sure could have used your expertise then. Bottom line here says all you liberals are very afraid of Sarah palin, and with good reason: She is a no non-sense person, a realistic person, a strong mined, determined person, someone who can not be manipulated. No other vice presidential candidate has ever caused this much controversy, so that says she sure has something you're afraid of. Good! Now, Chicken Little, you can stop runing in circles, the sky isn't falling, after all, and if you can use your terrific powers to present us with either the virgin mary or Jesus Christ as a candidate, we will be sufficently impressed to listen to anything else you may have to say, because that is the only way you will get a perfect, ,un-blemeshed candidate, otherwise, we will just have to continue as we always have with plain old ordinary huimans who have some flaws, but are still very capable of doing the necessary dealings that they need to in order to assure we operate well as a nation. Now, go out there and show us how you can walk on water, Nin.

      • Posted By: Nins @ 10/02/2008 12:24:17 PM

Well, Stars, no-one has to have been present at when Sarah's first child was conceived to know the truth. She herself admits she was pregnant before married. They wed on September 30th, and she had a full term baby born just 6 and a half months later. The fact that she had an affair with her husband's business partner is incontrovertable. Three different witnesses to the affair have signed affidavits and passed polygraph tests saying that Plain had the affair. Yes, it was reported in the National Enquirer, a scandal rag if ever there was one, but it is also the paper that broke the news about John Edwards' marital indescretions. They have a league of lawyers who want to avoid defamation suits. They have proof that will hold up in court. And Bristol Palin's out of wedlock pregnancy is an all too obvious fact. Her son's drug abuse is only rumored, not proven, which is why I wrote "rumored to have serious drug problems." Personally I think that the her own out of wedlock pregnancy, her daughter's out of wedlock pregnancy and her extra-marital affair all combine to make her look like a woman whose "Christianity" is only a posture. It is also possible to view her less cynically as a frail human prone to sin but with good underlying beliefs, and if you want to view her that way I think that is admirable. However, either way she certainly is not someone who should be legislating morals for our nation when she can't even keep her own house in order.

So was Obama's mother. So what?

        • Posted By: star3 @ 10/02/2008 7:19:00 PM

Nin, all you say may very well be true---so what? Admitting it shows she is honest. Becoming pregnant before marriage, while not a desireable trait, certainly does not affect her capability to think, and the things we do when we are young, are not, always, the same decisions we would make again after we have grown up enough to become more mature, and to realize we should not have given in to emotion, but should have made a different decision, however, having said that, she did opt to have her child and to be supportive of her daughter, so the saying, "Alls well that ends well" would apply here, and if her family has delt with their various situations, then who are we to judge? Nobody is perfect, not even Christians, or do we stop being human once we become Christians? Yes, we try to live according to our Chriatian beliefs, sometimes we succeed, sometimes we don't, and that is why God created forgivness. I have a question for you---how would you evaluate Bill Clinton's ability as president? As a human? As a Christian? His performances in the White House (both kind of performances) are very well known, yet when discovered, he lied, not once, but several times about his affair with a teenager while he was president! Monica was about the same age as his daughter, yet he, a self admitted Christian, used her, and came clost to being impeached, but were the American people stupid to allow him to continue to remain in office, or were they forgiving and realized it did not affect his ability to make excecutive decisions? I have my own personal thoughts on the subject which I will not share here, because I want to get YOUR thoughts. Not one human has ever been capable of walking on water, not even Mother Teresa, and she was made a saint. The ony one I have ever heard of who could was Jesus, but he was divine, we are human. It was said that one of his deciples almost did when the Lord called out for him to join him on the water, and the deciple took a few steps before he realized what he was doing, then sank, and swam back to the boat; that was because he went right into the water without even giving it a second thought when his Lord called him, then when he realized he should not be capable of doing that, he no longer could. That is the power of faith; just as Jesus said, faith can move mountains, but who has that kind of faith? I don't think he meant literal mountains, but mountains of problems which we all have to deal with. Moving a literal mountain, even if we had enough faith to do so, might raise some objections from whoever might be living on that mountain, or at the base of it. Anyway, just trying to point out that if we wait until we can get a perfect person to be our leader, then we may very well wait forever. And, no, I am not condoning any type of improper conduct, just saying it happens, because we are fallible.

Are you serious about all this nonsense or are you going to start accusing her of using a crystal ball to determine whats best for our country next. I am personally still undecided but listening to this nonsense is a waste of my time, try making a point instead of babbling on and on about unimportant issues. Obama's background is not so prestine either as everyone seems to think but I could be wrong thats why I am interested in what others think it doesn't hurt to listen, try it.

    • Posted By: star3 @ 10/02/2008 7:40:46 PM

Teddyo, one does not accomplish all that she has by being "stupid", so don't be stupid yourself by denying that. Your fear is showing big time. What are you, as well as many other liberals so afraid of? Do you think she will contaminate the White House? Too late for that, Bill Clinton already did that. Do you think she will turn into a blood sucking monster once she is in office? Too late for that, too, congress beat her to it. Or could it be you're afraid she may actually do something good for the country, and that would mess up any plans the Democrats have for "changing" our country into something other than the free nation we have all enjoyed since its birth?

You shouldn't try to get so personal about palin and religion and all of that other stuff, or do you feel the church that Obama was attending, when he use to listen to Rev Wright speak his filth was any better. Then you have Obama trying to denounce him and then try to explain that it was a race ( not racism) issue on how blacks felt. I can tell you now that was a load of bull and I am saying this from a black mans perspective. I do not need Obama to explain how I am suppose to feel thats just Obama being arrogant and nothing more. Bush didn't screw anybody in the White House like Clinton did and then lie and almost get impeached because he couldn't keep his zipper closed. My point is Palin's family is not running for VP, Sarah is, in case you have forgotten. I am not interested in who she slept with or who her daughter is sleeping with, it is none of mine or your buisness. I am more interested to see if she can survive a debate with Biden, personally I think she is in way over head but I think Obama is too, he just knows how to look good doing it and that takes skill. Sarah , well there is not much to say it is too early to tell. Star just out of curiosity have you ever gotten a straight answer or has everybody been a smart a** so far? I have talked with only two so far that have made some sense to me and even gave me something to think about just remember if ignorance is bliss there is a lot of happy people out there( and I am not just talking about Dems either).

      • Posted By: star3 @ 10/02/2008 6:30:36 PM

ed, thanks for asking, no, as of yet, the only responses I get are negative and condesending, but I understand that is just the way people are when they do not get the comments they want to hear; if you don't agree with their way of thinking, you are immediately attacked or insulted with being called ignorant. It doesn't bother me, because its not personal since I realize its just human nature, I just hope the best people do win, and this country will start to pull together, we've been at each other's throuts much too long. Americans, as the number one nation, is looked to for an example of proper behavior, so we should not be showing the world our worst side, and I agree its not really all one sided. I use to be a Democrat, and did not see the changes in the party for a long time. A friend, several years ago, use to remark that there was an under current of political activity going on in America which were trying to turn America into a socialist nation, we just laughed at him and thought he was being a worrier, but then, we, eventually became aware that something was changing, and it wasn't good, it seemed to start within the Democratic party and spread. I have sometimes wondered if the Kennedy brothers (JFK & Bobby) were not the last of the true Democrats, and if that is why they were eliminated, because they would stand in the way of The Plan, whatever The Plan was. There was a time, none of us would have imagined that Americans would behave in such a dishonorable way, both political parties, while not always in agreement, at least were cordial to each other. People no longer feel as secure as they once did about things, or maybe it was that we were young then, and bought into the whole idea of all for one & one for all, and then we grew up. But i still believe in America, I just don't believe as much in politicians anymore, but have to go with the ones I feel have the best policies, and hope they will keep their promises. I don't have a comfortable feeling about Obama & Biden, my instincts tell me that McCain & Palin are more sincere. I can only hope I am right, and that enough voters will agree to give them a chance. This election should not be about gender or color, but about our basic feelings about the candidates. Thank you for listening.

Mr. Zakaria, I have no idea whether or not you read this, but I would like to say that as a high school senior, I look forward every week to reading your articles in Newsweek. I respect your opinions highly and you show me incredible insight into a menagerie of different topics. I started reading your work about a year ago and ever since I have wanted to make a change by becoming involved with politics in one way or another. This particular article was very inspiring, and I can't wait to see what you write next.

I can't believe there are still people that want to put Palin in the white house. I'm in complete disbelief.

There has got to be something else at work. Perhaps anti-depressants have blocked people from seeing incompetence? Is it possible cell phones are making people stupid? Is it the internet? We really need to look into this.

We need to study this phenomenon

These are the same people who voted Bush in for a second term.... we are so screwed!!!

we live in a democracy. If "we the people" want to elect Palin or Bush, it is our god given right. Its rather condescending for someone to suggest that we don't have the right to vote for a candidate of our choosing.

With very little knowlege and intellectual curiosity, Sarah has somehow managed to be a Governor. For someone without proper education and backgroud, that in itself is certainly an accomplishment. She might be out of her league when it comes to presidential politics, then again, she has always reached for things out of her league.

It's called BRAIN-WASHING, and with so little brains, it takes very little soap.

Okay here is a recently discovered You Tube url which was brought to my attention. I have sent this url to family and friends. After seeing this, what would you be saying to family and friends?

Is this the change you want for America?

How come you think Sarah Palin is unqualified to be Vice President and Barrack Obama is qualified to be President? What you said about her, can also be said about Obama with the exception that he has not had any real executive experience.

Here you go Palin fans...What has been exposed of Palin is called the Peter Principle. I will even provide the link....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Principle Every person with the exception of Bush and his administration reaches it some point in their life. Eight years late, and this article has nothing to do with him.

When a person is properly vetted, they go through an interview process. When a person is improperly vetted, things come out sometimes in the worst possible fashion. When you saw Palin being interviewed by Couric, the answers that were given by her were unscripted. Unfortunately, questions were not asked of Palin like Couric and the three other interviews she gave as part of the vetting process. If she was asked anything like that before she was introduced, she would never have made the cut. Or you can speculate that she was given questions like that, and McCain liked the answers she gave. We will never know.

Sure you can practice for the debate. Sure you can even memorize some things, and perhaps we may see some improvement on her answers Thursday. However it does not change the fact she has gone way over her head with her abilities.

George Will, David Frum, and David Brooks and Kathleen Parker have asked her to step down. Zakaria is now joined in the chorus of concern. I think that everyone should be taking a close look and think about one thing. Do you think based upon her interviews, that you can look at someone in their eye and say, I think Palin is presidential, and can take over in a moments notice?

So I guess you don't trust George Will, David Brooks, David Frum, or Kathleen Parker either? Zakaria joined the chorus of concern rightfully so.

This woman is one step away from president, and you think you can compare Obama to her is a joke putting it politely. The argument has been tried many times before, and always comes back like you are. Simple question if you had a business that needs running, would you trust a Harvard law school graduate, versus a person who went to several junior colleges, went to an average college if there qualifications were identical? I want elite as a choice for my employee? How about you?

At least Obama doesn't do things impulsively and has spent time working as a community organiser, spent time among the working class and understand their pain and struggles.
In times like this, it's crucial you have someone that is in touch with reality and knows what we're up against.
This fella may be slightly young, but he keeps his cool during a crisis and you can trust that he doesn't make rash decisions that would jeopardise the country, if not the world.
