One brainwashed tool states: "Let us push past our own narcissism and elect someone who knows more than we do about running the country. "

The US governmnet was not established to "run the country." It was established to help guarantee a framewwork of liberty within which the country could run ITSELF. And it was most certainly not established to run the WORLD! Sarah Palin would be precisely the breath of fresh COMMON SENSE air we need, to begin reversing the century long trend away from basic constitutional principles, and toward a governmnet that does not allow the country to run itself, and which has become increasingly entangled in the affairs of other countries, contrary to the sound advice of the Founders.

I want somebody in the Oval office like Palin, who hasn't had the ivy league education that would have brainwashed her into the kind of automaton Obama is, who is so very glib at spouting the marxist and interventionist talking points that the real rulers of this country have succeeded in inculcating through their media and academic arms, namely the power elite international bankers and financiers who, along with their lackey politician controlees, regularly meet in New Yor City under the guise of David Rockefeller's Council on Foreign Relations.

As Mayor of Wasilla, Sarah Palin ordered the town hospital to make women who were sexually assualted or raped pay for their own forensic investigation kits. The federal law that Joe Biden got passed through Congress specifically prohibited this. Alaska state legislators had to pass a state law requiring Wasilla to stop this practice. We need to ask her why Wasilla did this to women in the first place.

"Has everyone become so twisted that good has become evil??"
When I read defenses of the far right like yours, yes, this is a point I can agree with.

If you believe that John McCain is a true leader who can stand up in a military crisis then you had better think back to the 2000 South Carolina primaries when McCain was was run over by the Rove machine. The Rove machine painted his military career to be weaker then George Bushes. If you believed it then, how can you give any respect to Palin with her military leadership experience.

"Drink the kool aid," "elitist," "messiah?" Republicans are robots who repeat the same talking points they were fed from their leaders talking points that they were fed from the machine and Rove. If anyone is drinking Kool Aid it's the people who can willfully and stubbornly support two awful candidates that simply cancel events to avoid being seen as the bumbling idiots they are. I am looking for truth and Obama is saying what I've said alone and against the machine for years. I didn't get it fed it me- it's common sense. I can think for myself. Can ANYONE tell me why they ARE voting for McCain and Palin? Cause I'm tired of hearing simply why they won't vote for Obama. That's Kool Aid for you-- stubborn and belligerent. I guess I better use smaller words for the Repubs who will call me a "professor" or "elitist." Stubborn is when you don't do stuff jest cawz yoo won't do it. It meens thayerz no good reesin why yoo shoodint do it but yoo still wont.
Where did my country go? Once upon a time, intellect (good thinkin's) was a commodity (an asset or good stuff). Now it's a notch against you as a candidate? WOW. We really ARE as dumb as other countries think we are. If you don't know what Obama is saying could it be because you're not very smart? Howz about you let us thinkin' tipes run the cuntree and you and the dreenkin tipes can do the huntin? Palin will be my first vote for your kweena huntin.

How about the fact that Obama is one of the biggest promoters of human sacrifice in Congress.

  • Posted By: rac501 @ 09/27/2008 8:45:35 PM

Mr. Zakaria is spot on, though I hope similar snowballs of opinion stay at the top of the hill where they can't seriously threaten Obama/Biden. If Palin were to leave the ticket, and be replaced by an actual viable candidate, this race could start to swing the other way as the PUMAs and closet racists coalesce around their selfish agendas.

On a funnier note, the comedy website 236 had a feature poking fun at Sarah Palin on CBS with Katie Couric. It's definitely worth checking out: http://www.236.com/video/2008/sarah_palin_gets_instructions_9171.php

Who's the next McCain choice after Sarah Palin? Miss South Carolina?

Was she actually chosen by McCain, or did Dick Cheney choose her?

    still more:

Right-wingers of the Bush-Rove ilk have had a tough time finding a human face to put on their failed, inhuman, mean-as-hell policies. But it was hard not to recognize the genius of wedding that faltering brand of institutionalized greed to the image of the suburban American supermom. It's the perfect cover, for there is almost nothing in the world meaner than this species of provincial tyrant. Palin herself burned this political symbiosis into the pages of history with her seminal crack about the "difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull: lipstick," blurring once and for all the lines between meanness on the grand political scale as understood by the Roves and Bushes of the world, and meanness of the small-town variety as understood by pretty much anyone who has ever sat around in his ranch-house den dreaming of a fourth plasma-screen TV or an extra set of KC HiLites for his truck, while some ghetto family a few miles away shares a husk of government cheese.

I find it amazing that Democrats can bash an intelligent, successful, sincere governer while admiring a phoney, media- polished, bullshi__er like Barak Obama. Is it perhaps because she debunks just about every whiney arguement and "theory" of the Democratic claim?? She is proof positive that women can have sucessful lives raising children without government 'assisstance' and achieve wonderful things in the workplace. She didn't have to 'choose' abortion as her only means of pursuing her carreer. What arguement will the abortionists have if Sarah Palin becomes a national symbol of feminine success? How will the welfare advocates use the excuse of poor mothers not being able to work?? The success of the tradional family really offends the liberal Democrats who want to see the destruction of American family. Few groups have displayed their hatred for Palin more than lesbians, gays and the extreme pro-abortionists. Community Organizers bash her for fundamental political differences regarding handouts for thoses who don't want to , or will not work..But what amazes me the most is the fact that there is a woman who people should be applauding rather than abhoring. What in the world has happened to our great country?? Has everyone become so twisted that good has become evil?? This is the scariest time of my life and if Obama wins and these, twisted thinking Democrats get into the White House--God Help us all.

MORON......WHAT SARAH WAS REFERRING TO WAS THE EXTENSIVE RADAR AND MISSILE DEFENCE SYSTEMS IN ALASKA FACING RUSSIA

    • Posted By: luke23 @ 09/27/2008 8:43:18 PM

No Moron, those defense systems are run by NORAD- not the state of Alaska. When Putin "rears his head," he is on a federal airway with a flight clearance from the FAA. Alaska has no concern with this type of flight. She is clueless and speaks in disjointed, and meaningless gibberish soundbytes. As her own newspaper the Anchorage Daily News reported." She can look you in the eye and tell you black is white."

dsa94085 is perhaps a dishwashing detergent. Her or her perceptions of the universe show what a pathetic distortion some uneducated Americans have. Perhaps, dsa is not aware of who has been running the executive branch of government the last eight years. Obama an empty suit...only someone with an empty head would see that. Palin is a perfect match for a certain percentage of the intellectually disadvantaged.

Palin is exactly what our country needs. The author's reaction doesn't surprise me since he supports someone who's best friend, William Ayers, was part of the Weathermen who put bombs under police cars and killed a policemen and recently had his picture taken STANDING ON THE AMERICAN FLAG and his Pastor hating white people. So anyone who supports this individual, B. Hussein Obama, would surely hate a strong, confident, white woman running for Vice President.

    • Posted By: jarcher1 @ 09/27/2008 8:41:30 PM

Excuse me, but exactly what evidence can you produce that Bill Ayers is Obama's best friend? Obama already broke with his former pastor month's ago over his racial comments. No what I hate is a party that has given us a couple of good ol' boys that have defined poor governance for the new century by telling lies and more lies. BTW your conclusion does not logically follow from your first two assertions.

    more from alternet.com:

Palin had given TV audiences a character infinitely recognizable to virtually every American: the small-town girl with just enough looks and a defiantly incurious mind who thinks the PTA minutes are Holy Writ, and injustice means the woman next door owning a slightly nicer set of drapes or flatware.

  • Posted By: Jeffs2001 @ 09/27/2008 8:40:28 PM

We might as well vote for the Palin/McCain ticket and end it all now, it's just a matter of time. This country is so F'ed-up. Having Palin as President, due to McCain health issues, he doesn't have long on this earth, we ight as well kiss our arses good bye. The end is near. MAybe the REPS can steal another election.

    from alternet.com:

I was convinced that John McCain had made one of the all-time campaign season blunders, that he had acted impulsively and out of utter desperation in choosing a cross-eyed political neophyte just two years removed from running a town smaller than the bleacher section at Fenway Park. It even crossed my mind that there was an element of weirdly self-destructive pique in McCain's decision to cave in to his party's right-wing base in this fashion, that perhaps he was responding to being ordered by party elders away from a tepid, ideologically promiscuous hack like Joe Lieberman -- reportedly his real preference -- by picking the most obviously unqualified, doomed-to-fail joke of a Bible-thumping buffoon. As in: You want me to rally the base? Fine, I'll rally the base. Here, I'll choose this rifle-toting, serially pregnant moose killer who thinks God lobbies for oil pipelines. Happy now?
