McCain and Palin do not belong on the World stage. Suggestions for a new job....Night Security Guard and a Hotel Maid.

Teddo, P.S. A job suggestion for you: Dog Catcher---and they aren't all runing on the streets, some reside in Washington, D.C., under the disguise of Democrat congress reps.

Teddo, they aren't going for the "world stage", they're going into the White House, the rest of the world can go to blazes, we've already played mom & pop to them for too many years, its time for "the rest of the world" to grow up and stand on their own feet, just as America, their "kid", has done since the begining, while "the rest of the world" had millenniums to do what we've done in a relative short time, compared to the time they had. And Europe does not hate us as the biased media would have us believe, although, there are some isolated cases of radicals who hate anything that moves unless it believes the same as they. Don't under estimate McCain or Palin, and don't over estimate Obama and Biden. Both scenarios could be a mistake for our country. Think!

Is it just me, or does Palin's response remind anyone of 2007 Miss Teen USA South Carolina Lauren Caitlin Upton? Upton's equally rambling, sound bite response why she thought a fifth of Americans are unable to locate the United States on a world map: "I personally believe that, U.S. Americans are unable to do so, because some??? people out there in our nation that don???t have maps, and I believe that our education, like such as in South Africa and the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should??? our education over here in the U.S., should help the U.S., er, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future.., for our children... " Palin needs to stick to beauty contests, not running for the White House.

Striking similarity to Miss Teen USA 2007 Miss South Carolina, Lauren Caitlin Upton, why she thought a fifth of Americans are unable to locate the United States on a world map. Understand this, Mr. Fareed Zakaria. Things were moving along fine for the first six years of this century because of an illusion. Because the Republican Congress and President borrowed rather than taxed in order to spend, no one felt a thing. Meanwhile, our annual expenditure on interest --- which buys us nothing --- rose from $300 billion to nearly $500 billion --- and will go even higher after the bailout happens.

Then again, Mr. Zakaria, you probably understood that.

Liberty, according to my metaphysics is a self-determining power in an intellectual agent. It implies thought and choice and power. ~ John Adams

I think it's clear which candidates will be our champions of Liberty. We need to take our country back, and to be able to do that, we need new thinking and clear headedness...we need doves, not hawks. We need thought, and choice and "thoughtful power." Since Sarah Palin can't even answer what newspapers she reads, I think I'll go with the guys who can. Wouldn't it be great to be respected again in the global political arena? Obama/Biden - 2008.

In an interview this morning with NPR, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said that he has often turned to Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) for foreign policy advice:

    OMG!!!??? WTF???
I know that this sounds like one of Josemarti's bizarre posts, but it's absolutely true...

Oh, for all Palin-supporters who are going to attack me for spelling "your" wrong, I have realized my mistake, and you can't call me an idiot. Fight back now.

Oh, for all Palin supporters who are going to call me an idiot for spelling "your" wrong in my last comment, I've realized it. My bad.

Oh my God, she's a mess. She's insane. Palin, I'm sorry, but you're miniscule self doesn't stand a miniscule chance in this mammoth-sized world of politics. Sorry dear.

I think that anyone who feels that being "one of them" is good enough for the job of VP should be asked if THEY themselves feel qualified for the job. Maybe that would make them shut up and actually think about it... though I doubt it..... sadly

Palin tried to make a joke about Biden's age stating she has been hearing about his speeches since she was in the 2nd grade. Not very funny. McCain is 72... six years older than Biden.

I finally figured out why Gov Palin gives these brillant answers in the few interviews she has given. It's all those darn newspapers and magazines that they put in front of her. If you believe Republican propaganda those darn liberal leaning , McCain bashing , Eastern Establishment pieces of rag poisoned her MIND. Those Gotcha fools.

Domestically, the bailout and reform of the financial industry will take years and hundreds of billions of dollars.

You base this on what? As I recall the Bailout almost happened on Tuesday, then they were going to vote again on Thursday...

Health-care costs, unless curtailed, will bankrupt the federal government.

You base this on what? So will $1500.00 hammers

Social Security, immigration, collapsing infrastructure and education are all going to get much worse if they are not handled soon.

You base this on what? THE SKY IS FALLING!!!!!!!!!!! look out

    Dear Chicken Little,

Either shut up or start backing up your statements with facts. Stop looking into your crystal ball or playing with your black cat bone. How about spending some time on just one of these problems, if they are as pressing as you say they are, and offering a solution. My guess is that if we, as a nation, redirected 10 billion dollars a month on say Social Security we might find a solution.

I have to admit your comments on Governor Palin were very funny, if a bit obvious. That isn't the source of my invective, it comes from my disappointment at another public figure sounding like a typical politician using any forum as an opportunity to vapidly empty out every catch-phrase about economics that comes into ones head.

In another Couric question, she apparently did not know what Hamas is. This is truly troubling to our nation. It seems that McCain does not take leadership seriously and does not put "Country First".

Get a grip of the severity of the situation, and realize she was not the right choice.
I was an undecided voter, leaning toward McCain, but when he choose Palin my decision as to who I was going to vote for became a "no-brainer."
We had a chance to have a sensible moderate President and McCain made a "Bone-Headed" mistake.
The only thing that saves the ticket is for Palin to step-aside, for whatever reason, and we choose Joe.
