Is anyone else hearing the Republican strategist Stevens as suggesting the debate should be about Palin showcasing her personality? What do Republicans think of this scrupulousness? That the American people should be hoodwinked by carefully placed narratives devoid of content, substance, or substantive talk of the very tenuous issues this country is currently facing. Doesn't Steven worry about the fate of this country? Ugh. Although not surprised, I still feel sick.

I hope Gwen Iffil asks: "Gov. Palin, your "running mate" Senator McCain made much of his trips to foreign countries as a qualification for being President; is he wrong about that qualification or are you not qualified on that basis?"
