I don't want Obama for president because he has no experience. He's only been in government for a little over a year. I'm not racist, but I don't like his democratic beliefs. I don't believe in abortion (if you're responsible enough to have sex, then you're responsible enough to have that baby), I don't believe in taxing the rich, (or the poor), and I especially don't believe he knows enough to do it.
Don't think I'm just being racist. I wouldn't want a woman president right now anyways. Not because she is a woman, but because of how bad our economy is right now. Right now we are in a pit, and most cultures around the world believe women are inferior to men, so electing a woman president, to them, will look like we are weak. Imagine a woman trying to have a peace talk with a leader that believes that women are supposed to be submissive and serving to a man. It just doesn't work, the world isn't ready for it.
In fact, I'm not even sure if I want to vote for McCain, because I believe we should take care of our environment, I believe that we should find alternative fuel methods to oil, I like the idea of government health care, and I don't want to raise taxes. As the election season moves on, I will be looking out for who seems to be the better cantidate.

How are the white folks going to feel if he loses? He's half white don't forget!

Oh God, why do we have to keep making this a color issue? Isn't the fact that Obama is leading McCain enough not to make people worry, why would they worry? The more attention we bring to the fact that Obama is HALF BLACK (and half white) does not help. It's really not a color issue, it's an economic issue. Articles like this do not help Obama. America is ready for a NEW GENERATION change and that's what Obama brings. It's the new against the old mindset. I know there are prejudice folks out there, but articles like this just make it worse. When are we going to rise above it? Obama's going to win in a few days, let's stop embarassing him with this color stuff. Another thought....when you're poor, what's wrong with socialism? Despite the intellectuals' psychotic hatred of capitalism, it is the only moral and just social system.

Everyone of voting age should read these two books written by Obama, 'Dreams of My Father' and 'Audacity of Hope'. Don't buy them, get them from the library before they are removed from the shelves.

PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE TO BE HELD SUNDAY AT COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY

The Free and Equal Elections Coalition (FREE) and the Columbia Political Union are pleased to announce that a Presidential debate will be held this coming Sunday, October 19th, 2008, on the campus of Columbia University.

ALL SIX of the Presidential candidates who appear on enough state ballots to acquire the 270 Electoral Votes needed to become President are invited. They are as follows (listed in alphabetical order by affiliation):

The Columbia Political Union will present the debate from 8:00pm to 10:00pm in the Altschul Auditorium, located at 417 International Affairs Building. The debate will be moderated by Pacifica Radio's Amy Goodman, the host of "Democracy Now!". CSPAN will cover the debate, and live radio broadcasts are expected.

Obama and his wife went to a church for most of his life listening to a pastor who hates whites. I really don't see how any white person can honestly vote for this man - I would love to see a qualified black person in the White House. There are so many great ones; this one is not. How would the African - American handle an Obama loss - simple, they have to honestly concede to the fact, that Obama does not have the political wisdom to efficiently manage in a presidential capacity. If he does win, I would personally consider it the greatest political & psychological absurdity of the 21st centuary. There are other African Americans out there with far greater political exposure than Obama - get them interested in occupying the White House.

As I read this article I became sad. The idea that until know the black man doesn't count upsets and depresses me beyond belief. Perhaps I am a naive young woman who has never had to experience the racial prejudice that I have come to understand most have. I believe whether Obama wins or losses this election it is a win for the whole of african-americans living in this country. He is the proof of yes you can. Even if he were not to win this election who is to say that he or anyone else of african-american decent can not come back next election and win? I read in this article that if he doesn't win it is the end all be all for african-americans in this country. As if this doesn't work it should never again be tried. Shame on all you people who have this defeatest attitude. Stop giving up on yourselves, your beliefs; defeating yourselves before you ever really get your foot in the door. The doors that are opening are monumental. Step up, heed the call. Make sure your children believe that they can achieve all things like college - becoming lawyers, persuing political careers, becoming senators, congressman, and becoming presidents. Nothing worth having has been easy. If it is given easy it is not appreciated. I think that is why more people need to consiously work to make the choice to advance themselves into leadership positions in this country to envoke the change that this country so desperately needs. We will not get a fair shake until we do this. The people who have the money don't care about us. It doesn't matter what color, background, any of it. What is happening now is pure proof of it. All the distractions, half truths, all of it coming from everyone in the government. All meant to keep the little guys mind realing why those that have the power do what is going to be best for them and to hell with us. We need to become involved. It is no longer safe to believe that all is well as long as nothing is wrong with my life. They are going to try to placate us with some tax reliefs and other incentives but I do not hear that the incredable over taxation will be obolished. Government has become way to big and intrusive in the economic lives of americans. I believe the term is stealing us blind. We do not protest because we have defeated ourselves before we ever put out the offensive. It sounds like this: What can I do? Nothing that I can do will change anything. People don't care for my issues. It won't change so why bother. This is the very mentality that has keep the american people feeding those fat cat liers for so many years and it needs to stop. Become the difference. Believe, educate, take action, succeed.
