REASEARCH PEOPLE!!!! We have had a DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS for the last four years!!! Are you going to believe everything the media says? Obama has no experience. Check his senate voting record google it then look at how he voted, he has an agenda and we are screwed if he gets into office, wake up!!!! This is not a black and white question this is a democratic question. Obama is not even full black he had a white mother, but he keeps using the black card are you that stupid that you could believe that because he keeps pulling that card? Man the media is trying to insight a riot, I agree with the person who said do you see a white American college fund? Or anything else that helps white Americans? NO WE are not whining, our ancestors came here as indentured servants, have we been paid restitution? Hell NO!!!! It is not a black or white vote use your brains, do your research, Obama gets in and it will be the Blacks that cry foul first because we are going to be so screwed, you want change well your gonna get it baby and it is not what you think. Government controlled health care, higher taxes, you really think he cares about us little guys on main street?: NOT!!! It is all a ploy to get into office. Then we have a democratic congress and a democratic president. I am so tired of hearing that it is the Bush administration who got us into this, well if it was then it was the democratic Congress that had the greatest fault.

Ok heres some "Research" (correct spelling). Congressional control went to the Democrats in 2006, it is now 2008. Besides your pre-kindergarden math skills is there any rational way that coming into power two years ago means having been in power for 4 years? Lmao , we had 6 (SIX) years of uninterrupted republican rule , which is why what 80%+ of the country thinks we are on the wrong track>

Let me do this really slowly... 2008-2006 = 2.

Or if those big numbers at the beginning are confusing you: 8-6 = 2.

So how have Democrats been in charge for 4 years when they came to power in 2006 Mr. Research?

There will be those whites that will vote against Obama strictly due to the color of his skin. That's unfortunate. I wonder how that number will compare to those blacks that will vote for Obama strictly because he is black?

Alot of these Obama supporters see his as a savior and virtually worship him, Alot of these pro Obama supporters are nothing but an Obama Sychophant (groupies) I as a black person am appalled at alot of the racist vitriol spewed online and elsewhere.

I vote based on who I feel is the best person for the very important job of president, not the color of their skin.

All these people see is the "idealism" the identity politics "The First This and The First That" and don't care if he's qualified or if his socialist policies will run the economy and the country into the ground.

With Obama you'll get liberal judges at the Federal and Supreme Court level, that will find a constitutional right to gay marriage, abortion and you'll have more Atheism promoted like the Michael Newdow case (he wanted to ban the pledge of allegience because of the words "Under God" what next? our nation motto: In God We Trust) Redistribution of wealth aka new or expanded social progams.

HEY EVERYBODY....I f OBAMA loses he loses pull up your boot straps act like adults and try harder next time. I have never heard of rioting in the streets if a candidate loses !!!( Reminds me of the OJ trial) HOW SAD !!!!

  • Posted By: VFW6986 @ 09/28/2008 1:19:00 PM

Just what you would expect from a Democrat rag mag, veiled threat of riots by blacks. What I want to know is why aren't we all rioting black and white, over the wealthyfare we are coughing up to the robber barrons of Wall Street. These same banks that have been getting their money from the Fed for 3% and charging our credit cards 30% now can't make it?
How are we supposed to make it? Rich greed vs poor victim sheep is the conflict of America not white and black.

  • Posted By: golittleperson @ 09/28/2008 1:18:50 PM

How toddler like, if my candidate looses we'll protest (riot) whatever! That's why I can't move beyond the stereotypes - the behaviors of the most racist of the racist. How many blacks are voting for Obama just because of his skin color? Be honest. That is racisim. He is first and foremost a politician and anyone who thinks differently is being fooled. He is biracial, he refers to himself as a black man. One whos black father left and had very little involvement in his childs life. He was raised by his white grandparents who loved and educated him to be where he is today. Ok - you can say the father's skin color determines race? I think he knows it is in his political best interest to be black for THIS race. I don't care if his skin is green - he's a POLITICIAN people, get a clue.
I'm not overly fond of either candidate. There are some issues that will determine how I vote. I will never condone partial birth abortion - that's murder. I need to believe we have a strong commander in chief - this country posses a lot of power. I am concerned for the working class, the stuggles for health care but do not believe any one person can make the changes that will trickle down to my level. (I'm a single mom who lost her job.) This nation unfortunately makes the rich, richer on the backs of it's working class. If we need to "protest" it needs to be on socio-economic levels not race.
When will the racist of all colors in this nation wake up? I admit, I have some prejudice - thinks to articles like this!

Obama is not a true black African America, his father is fan Arab that live in Africa. Does Obama sounds like Osama? Seems like the African Americans are supporting a black face and don't care if he is a Arab descendent. Maybe we should paint John McCaine face black, then we will have a fair competition.

The fact that this person is illiterate (look at the grammar and syntax) should give you an idea of how ignorant this comment really is. Kenya is not an Arab nation. Get a map and learn to read!

Whenever the black haters in this country comment negatively about whit people in this country it fust shows how ignorant they are .I look at it this way, when they do their talking about obama's mama so there you are haters.Love,Peace and,Soul

Care about us? Who is us? The African American race? What about myself, a divorced white female, mother of two? I am a strong Obama supporter who is waiting for a president who can make a change to our nation, not for the white female, or the African American. I am waiting for a president who can make a change for all people. No American should vote for Obama based on the color of his skin. Every American should be voting on what they believe to be the best for our country. If elected, Obama will serve the people of the US not just the African Americans. People of all gender, race and nationalities nominate him for the presidency just as McCain was nominated. If Obama loses (which I hope he does not) it will be no different than any of our past elections. Every election there is 1 winner and 1 loser. It is sad but true that racism still exists in this country however a protest by African Americans if Obama loses will only increase racism in this country and the African American people who vote based on the color of the skin will be leading this racism.

If Obama loses mass riots and protests WILL ensue, not only some whites will be racist, ALL whites will be racists and all the great work that Dr. King started will be lost due to the ignorance of a few.

  • Posted By: rentawreck @ 09/28/2008 1:17:15 PM

It doesn't matter if your black or white, just because the man in the white house is black does not mean ANY meaningful change in this country, that's the lesson to be learned. Bush didn't know anything and was duped into a false war, Obama has VERY little experience in politics, McCain has lost his mind. People of ALL RACES need to GROW UP and realize that no matter who is in power. This nation is made to favor those well off, rather than poor people. The problem is most of those poor people (middle class) don't realize they are poor.

  • Posted By: khalilc @ 09/28/2008 1:16:39 PM

I don not think that race should play a role in anyone's decision when it comes to choosing a leader for our country. I would be very upset if Obama were to lose. But that would be because the American people failed to act in order to create change, not because a black man failed to get elected. Obama is a great leader who has done his part to unite a torn nation. Now it is our turn to step-up and do our part!!! Register to vote and make a difference!

let's imagine for a second if John McCain were black... what idiot would vote for someone who was a community organizer (hahahaha), then a freshman senator for 137 days before beginning a presidential campaign over him? now who's playing the race card

  • Posted By: smbainter @ 09/28/2008 1:15:52 PM

Black people are voting for him cause he is black thats about the most ridiculous thing I have heard. Why dont you vote for the right reasons, blacks need to get off this whole racists thing, not everyone is racist and out to get them. And he may not be an arab but he does have a muslim back ground and for those of you who dont know its muslims who hate us, so lets think about who we are putting into office!

It amazes me that people just make the assumption that African Americans are voting for Barack Obama because he is African American. Most African Americans vote for the candidate from the Democratic Party. This voting pattern has been consistent throughout history because African Americans have most closely identified with the party???s ideas. In many instances, African Americans and white people have blindly voted for the Democratic candidates because of those ideas regardless if the candidate is black or white so it is understandable for them to vote for Barack Obama. The question that now stands is why white democrats say they will rather vote for John McCain whose ideas are in totally conflict with those of the Democratic Party. When thinking about voting for John McCain, Sarah Palin should give anyone pause. I know more about foreign policy than she does and I work in education.

For the person who said that Barack Obama did not pass one law in Illinois, it takes more than one person to pass a bill.

    To sgait4

Your Comment: Regardless of who wins in the end our greatest fear should be nothing changes.

No, our grestest fear is that we change for the worse. Change is a double sided coin. One must be clear on the direction of the change.

We are not a socialist country and have no intentions of becoming one.
That is why so many, including myself, see Obama as a dangerous leader in his extreme left solidarity.

He would not be the first leader in history to rally the people on his rhetoric and charisma, but follow an alternative agenda.

One's past, especially recent past, defines their character as well as their philosophy.

Ayers, Wright, Obama divides based on racial and class lines. He pulls the race card and follows men who all have one common philosophy,,,,,, an agenda to destroy Amercia.

    Obama = Dangerous

It's no contest as far as I see it. Obama has little experience. McCain fought for this country as well as spent more time as a POW than Obama has been in congress. He's NOT African American but Bi-Racial. You don't hear about the rest of the nation gearing up to riot if McCain doesn't win. I think that African-Americans should get off their soap boxes and stop finding fault with every other race of people. We should unite as is our names, if you're born here, you are Americans. White and black are definately dying out. I think we should all be considered as Bi-Racial because there is no pureblood race anymore, learn to live together, forget the hate. I believe that it is so much easier to carry a grudge than to work at forgiving and just move on. Obama, in years to come, with more experience behind his belt will be a good candidate to win. He's just too young. His ideas are too simplistic for this complex time. He needs time to develope further.

    • Posted By: RyanO1976 @ 09/28/2008 1:15:25 PM

The fact that McCain spent time as a POW 40 years ago, somehow qualifies him to be President. Interesting. Does the fact that he was also a part of the Keating 5 also qualify him? Or that he committed adultery and left his first wife for a trophy wife? What about any of that? Does that qualify him?

  • Posted By: mr z @ 09/28/2008 1:15:01 PM

I do hope Barack wins the alternative is the end of American pride around the country let alone the world. McCain must think the American people to be stupid. The fact is that he is the stupid one or he has no clue what is being put out by people. The lies being passed out as truths is insulting. Then the Bush administration is based on lies and McCain is just a continuation of those lies. I was not sure to to vote for but now I will vote for Barack and I will try to convince as many people I can to do the same. God bless American. MZ

I think for most Americans, white or black, this election is-and should be-about which candidate will be the most likely to repair our failing economy, reduce our dependence on foreign oil, bring about global respect for our country once again, and deal with the rest of the multitude of issues we face. If that person for you is Obama, wonderful, but vote for the right reasons. And don't riot for the wrong reasons.

If you fear, then ye shall show up at the polls! SAVE AMERICA...vote Obama. He is the only candidate that gets it! He has walked the talk when it comes to experience in having to grow up in the likes of white supremacy, poverty, struggling and so far and so on...just like the majority of us.
People...WE should be desiring serious change and move away from the self-proclaimed white super power of the present and past Republican regime that put us all in harms way.

We cannot afford to turn our backs to the rapid decline of this country. Bush and his bureaucratic party is afraid of losing their social status and power and I for one have had enough of them toying with my life and livelihood; aren't YOU?
This country is a mess and those that still believe that it can be saved with the likes of Mc C and his running mate (joke) are simply fooling oneself.
WAKE UP AMERICA...vote with your heart and not your party affiliation. The *** you save may be your own!
