What If Obama Loses?

What has Obama done for African-Americans other than having black skin? And, what makes you think he'll do anything special for African-Americans? What exactly should he do for African-Americans if elected that hasn't already been done?

I am voting for Barack because he is the best candidate. I don't care what color he is. Just as I don't care that Palin (and I) are both women. She does not support my political philosophy. If she looses, people could cry sexism just as they could call racism if Barack looses. Do both exsist? Of course they do. All we can do is take personal responsibility. Get out and vote, help your neighbor vote, volunteer, and do what you can to make this election fair. We know what has been done in the past, so take ACTION to stop it. If you don't take action then whinning at the pity party just makes you pathetic. Let's make it happen instead of creating negative energy fretting and fearing over it. Bottom line: TAKE ACTION.

There is white racism in America and it's a story Newsweek needs to do more on. What is it about whites that make them think that blacks should be able to vote for white candidates, but whites should have an argument for resisting black candidates. Every democrat should get behind Obama, because that is the party's pick. Blacks have overwhelmingly done the same each and every time a white democrat was the party's nominee, even if that nominee came with baggage and questionable character. Remember Bill Clinton? Newsweek, the story is not that blacks will be upset. The story is...."The sickness of racism, still held onto by a tidy percentage of white democrats and a huge number of white republicans." When will white racism end in America? The world is watching this ignorance!!!

I am shocked by all the talk of Barak..the 1st black president. He is a fabulous MIX of Black and White. We all should be voting for the man that will help lead us..not a color. We all should be embracing our similarities , not our differences. If we do not come together as a nation , our country will be split..foever.

Exactly, instead of perpetuating what harm can occur if an Senator Obama should not be elected president you should make sure that people turn out to vote. This is the best way to let eveyone know that mccain and palin (the new joke of the week) cannot and should not be elected.

So, all that matters about the man is that he is black? Blackness means he is o.k., and his politics, ethics, and character don't matter? That type of poor decision making is what has given us some of the crooks we have in Congress now. You know - "he's for abortion, and nothing else matters about the man". Then we end up with pro-abortion crooks. And now we hear that blacks will be furious and hold protests if their candidate doesn't win? Do they think Republicans are going to vote for their man because he is black or because they are going to revolt is they lose? Republicans will probably vote for a Republican, and it's not about race - it's about being Republican. Grow up people. Be good winners or good losers. Show your own character.

Of all the Democratic candidates, the voters choose the one with the least experience for the job. Palin is as qualified as Obama, if not more qualified. Yet, we are told there is going to be trouble if Obama is not elected. Looks like those old style TVs from the Rodney King riots need to be replaced with new digital sets. If I owned an appliance store in L.A., Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta etc. an Obama loses, I would put a hammer through every TV in the store. That would put a stop to the riots and no one gets hurt. O J riots will occur before Obama Riots.

What I am reading and hear with friends and coworkers that have had no political interest in the past are voting simply because he is a black man. That is pathetic. I have never been a Democrat or Republican, I have always voted for the person who had similar beliefs and convictions that I do. Maybe there should be an article about what shape we will be in if Obama wins?????

Why does this have to be a 'black' or 'white' thing? Enough already! We're all the same! Now...can we move on and look at the political issues? I'm focusing on who is going to make the changes we need ethically and financially for EVERYONE. It is time the rich stop getting richer, without regard for those in poverty, or at least can we change our laws to stop helping them get richer and the poor poorer?!

African americans aren't the only ones fearful of an Obama loss. With McSame in charge, and Palin waiting in the wings for his last heartbeat, ALL Americans have reason to fear, and with us the world.

Does this mean white people should protest or riot if McCain loses? Once again, this article is proof that if blacks don't get everything handed to them, the first thing they do is resort to violence. I know for a fact, that not all blacks are even voting for him. The ones that are actually paying attention to what he says, dont like him. No one should ever be elected President based on the color of their skin.

I think news entities should stop highlighting stories such as this one because the feedback is overwhelmingly negative!! In a country where the shame of slavery will always be upon us, we should do everything we can to not project this ugly imagine and we should try to all grow up and heal the ugliness that can live within the human heart!!! I am reading this post and am utterly outraged at some of the comments all because a radio personality had a conversation about what if obama loses. I am a African-American woman and like most African-Americans sure i would like to see obama win presidencey, BUT its because i feel that he is qualified, not because he is black. To put this thing in prespective, most blacks would like to see a man that is of their ethnicity in the white house, but i'm sure that hispanics would love to see the same thing. This country and any white, blacks or hispanics who refuse to vote for obama because of his race is showing how WE as a NATION still have this ugly taste of racism deep within us. Let us use this election to start to seperate racism from views!!!! I am supporting obama because i feel that he can lead this country in the right direction again. I am voting for obama because sarah palin or any other right-wing conserverative cannot tell me that abortions are illegal. I am voting for obama because more tax cuts for the wealthy is just not good enough!!!! Why give more to the wealthy when these people don't give middle-class working people (black and white) and lower class people ( a group that's not represented by either Dems. or Rep) anything! This is why we should be choosing a candidate not because of our ridiciously childish views!!!

I think it's unfair that if Obama loses people are going to jump to conclusions that it's because all white people are racist. It's not about race, it's about Republican vs. Democrat, conservative vs. liberal. I think it's great that so many more people are planning to vote this year, and I know that Obama winning the candidacy had a lot to do with that, but I would hate for people to get discouraged for next election because their candidate didn't win. If that happened every election, less and less people would be voting.

Had McCain chosen to, he could have spent the entire night exposing Obama's outright distortions. "I support a missile defense system." Obama has vowed to CX the program if elected. "I recognize the need for a strong military in dealing with rogue Nations." Obama has vowed to cut tens-of-billions from the military budget; and, to terminate advanced weapons programs. "I support the gasification of coal." Obama voted against it. "I support nuclear power." Obama has vowed to terminate the production of fissile material. The feedstock for nuclear power plants. I'll give 95% of Americans a tax reduction in their Federal Income Taxes." A real Obama 'hat trick' since more than 40% of Americans don't pay ANY Federal Income Tax. "I agree, we need to control excessive government spending." Obama has proposed hundreds of billions of $s in NEW government spending; to include Foreign Giveaways mostly directed at Africa; and, even to the point of providing government funded health care for 20million+ illegal aliens. "I warned of the deregulation of the mortgage industry." Obama fought Bush Administration efforts to reign in Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae; and, even proposed legislation to prohibit mortgage lenders from tightening standards on low income borrowers. Not to mention the fact that he was a primary beneficiary of industry largess; tried to funnel tens-of-billions of $s in the Democrat's recent "Bailout Package" to the Acorn extremists; and, welcomed the likes of Bob Johnson, Franklin Raines and Penny Pritzker into his campaign structure. Etc. Etc. Etc. The only way to express Obamaspeak in a civil dialectic is to note that the man is a congenital liar. God help us if the majority of Americans are beguiled by this novice circus comic. Never mind how African Americans would feel.
I am a lily white Canadian, have lots of white friends and family all over the world and they all would be shocked if Obama loses. One woman friend I have , we fear for her life because during the last 8 years she had several heart attacks and we all fear she might not survive the shock.
McCain winning is unthinkable to all of us!
