I'm not black nor I'm I white, but the person named pdoo5 below is clearly not smart and should be ashamed of what he/she has written. Blacks are not the ones prejudiced, it's people like you. You are disgrace to your country.

Get ready for dissapointment regardless of who wins, because the truth is no politician, black or white, gives a damn about the middle class or poor. Washington in in the back pocket of the Rich and their Corporations. So whoever wins we'll still be scraping out a meager living while the fat cats get fatter.

*** ALL YOU ***! obama IS A LOOSER ALL THE WAY AROUND JUST AS HIS APE FACED STUPID WIFE! obama WILL NEVER WIN...WE CAN'T HAVE APES RUNNING AROUND THE WHITE HOUSE! IT'S JUST THAT SIMPLE. McCAIN AND PALIN MAKE obama AND BIDEN LOOK LIKE THE *** THEY ARE...INEXPERIENCED, UNABLE, UNTRUSTED AND INCOMPETENT IDIOTS!! LET obama AND BIDEN GO BE PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT OF AFRICA. THEY ARE NOT WANTED OR NEED HERE IN THE U.S. I SAY DEPORT BOTH OF THEM!
There is a mental health clinic near to you. Please seek treatment. Also, visit your nearest urologist and get a vasectomy before you bring any more of this hate into the world.
I bet most of your teeth are missing
All the more reason to vote for someone who will help people get dental care, health care and bring jobs back to this country - VOTE FOR OBAMA!!!!
You are the exact reason why there is racial strife in this country!! I grew up in the military and have MANY black friends who I would proudly stand with! I dislike any notion you have about blacks and I would say that you(and your cronies) stand beside Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and the biased national news media! You all push the race agenda.
I am a staunch conservative. I do not want Obama to win, and I strongly support McCain. But this is way out of line. It's stuff like this that will ensure that we never close the racial divide in our country.
Thats exactly why black people feel left out of politics until now, you sir with your comments have shown with your back to africa statements that racism is alive and well in the US,
I bet you don't have any teeth
What if Obama was white would you still vote for him.....i feel there are certain segments of our society only voting for him because of his skin color...how bad is that??
As bad as certain segments of our society who are NOT voting for him because of his skin color.
If Obama loses, it means the American people voted that decision. Accept the majority vote and realize that voting for someone because of their race is just as shallow as voting against someone because of their race. Look at the candidates and where they stand on the issues and their record and life and not the color of their skin or their gender or age. I am not a racist, I am a realist and the threat our country faces is not a lack of hope or craving for change, it is a need for economic, national and foreign security and the upholding of our constitution for the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness by all Americans. Vote and accept the outcome.
Not only are the blacks fearful that Barrack Hussein Obama will lose and America may remain a world power leader, but also, the MSNBC OBAMA NETWORK fears that their candidate will lose.
It's still about race because 37 - 40 years ago is not enough time to have healed. Stop lying to yourself, "Jim Crow" was not only an extension of slavery but equally as destructive to the mindset of black families. Again, Jim Crow ended 40 years ago and in some states as lttle as 37 years ago and it was up until then that blacks begin to receive some of the right s afforded not just an American but a human being. Blacks were denied accesss, rights, and opportunities. Blacks were not considered to be Americans, In fact they were they were considered 3/5th's human by the United States government.
I am not one to speak on others experiences but mine went like this: Familiy lived in Alabama was forced to flee in the middle of the night after white men had there dog attack my grandfather removing part of his face. Familiy relocated to upstate New York and begin working hard but not without prejuduce. Grandfather had a genuine fear of white people and this was passed along to the kids. (My mom, aunts and uncles) My mom then natuarlly had a fear of whites and would pass this on to me (born 1973). I was able to break the cycle by spending more time with a free spirirted aunt who surrounded herself with free spirited white, latinos and asians. If not for this then what would I feel today considering.
Ther is no limit to how low Newsweek will stoop to get Obama elected. They did a hatchet job on Hillary and now they are working McCain and Pallin over. Funny how Biden is getting a free ride. Newsweek makes no effort to even appear impartial.
It's no secret that Newsweek and the New York Times are just Liberal rags trying to divert public opinion and control public perception through the biased trash they print and try to pass off as news!

As a white New Yorker who has lived in the Midwest for a number of years, I relate so much more to Obama than to McCain and Palin that it's not even funny. So African Americans aren't the only ones who would feel the sting of his loss. In a year when Republicans should be running for cover, the race is actually much closer than it should be. And Obama's "lack of experience" is a cop out excuse. He is older than Bill Clinton was when he ran the first time, and has more legisltive experience than Lincoln and others who were successful presidents. He is brilliant, youthful, and insighful. Those should be strong attributes for winning, especially against an old double talker like McCain who would sell his sole to the devil to win. Picking an inferior running mate like Palin is a cynical and un-American move, and demonstrates that McCain will not "put country first." Go Barack! Good luck and take it to them!!
I am a white woman but feel very offended by the fact that it is assumed that the only reason I and others would not vote for Obama is that he is black. Personally I do not like his socialist view on the way he would govern, therefore he will not be getting my vote. I am sure that there are some rascict whites that will not vote for him based on color, however what is the percentage of blacks that will not vote for him?
To vote for Obama simply because he is black is just as bad as a white person voting for McCain simply because he is white. Both are wrong down to the core. You cannot acheive equality between all races when you vote on a candidate simply on race. That goes to the very basis of prejudice which is the root of racism. How can racism be obliterated when race is still a huge issue? You cannot move forward and look to the future when you are still looking in the past. The vote should go to the best person for the job, not the most likeable candidate. We're voting for a leader of our country, not GQ man of the year. Obama has very little experience as a politician. During his tenure in Illinois, he has yet to pass a single law or bill. NOt very productive to me contrary to his stance for making "CHANGE"! Change is a very powerful word during this brittle time for our country which is to the blame of Bush. HOwever, Obama is simply riding on the strength of the word "change" with no intention of making change. If he cant change Illinois, how can you change an entire country?
blacks and whites but blacks and
everybody else.
If Obama is elected, the gravy train is over. Black people will have
no excuses. Equality is what u say u want then equality is EXACTLY
what u will get.

Wow! This article has gotten the effect it desired; these comments remind me of old school Jerry Springer shows when Jerry would invite the KKK on his show and all hell would break loose!
JERRY! JERRY! JERRY!

i will be very upset if obama doesn't. win. he have the best plan for leading this country forward. also michelle and him are the best role models in my opinion, that the while house has ever seen!. they have so much love for each other and their children and i can tell it is not photo opt's. obama and his wife make such excellent roll models for children. this is truely NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND! and if anybody cares(i am white)
I agree with you and I am white too.
This article makes me so mad!!! These people are voting on the color of someones skin instead of character or experience. This is what they accuse white people of doing all the time, but it's ok for them to do it. If a white person votes for Mccain just because he is white it's prejudice, but if a black person votes for Obama just because he is black it is ok. I don't think so !!! Obama is half white. His white mom and grandparents raised him , and his black father left him. If his skin color had turned out white, would he be where he is today ?
One should protest and riot only if the candidate is of your race? I think black voters will react to Obama losing much like other voters have when their candidate loses; with class and dignity. Black voters are not the only voters to be passionate about what their candidate has to offer. This article is condescending and demeaning to black people.
I agree.
