Obama will lose, but not because he's black, but rather because he's a socialist. People talk about whites being racist, but it's the black community that will vote 90% or more for the black candidate. That makes that community the true racists here.

wantingchangewithoutignorance says that Blacks voting for a Black man simply because he is Black is racist, conveniently forgetting how Blacks have been voting for WHITES ever since Whites so "generously" allowed Blacks to vote. Now they finally get to vote for one of their own and they are the racists? Anyway Blacks DON'T just vote based on skin color. Alan Keyes, Black Republican, got NO African American votes in 2000, Blacks voted for WHITE democrats instead. So please quit yapping that Blakcs are racist for voting for Obama.

This year's election is about race and gender - not the issues - and we can thank the DemoMedia for it! Everywhere we look, Obama is touted as the Saviour of America - dispite is lack of experience, his corrupt ties to Resko/Ayers/Pfleger/Wright/FannieMae/etc, his sexism, his arrogance, and his shady political tricks. Yet the liberal media and his famous friends have made it clear that if the Amercian people don't vote for him, that we're racists.

As voting Americans, we should be voting on the issues. I would never vote for someone who supports late term and post term abortions, raising my taxes, and sitting down with NaziTerrorists who pretend to be world leaders.

As a teacher I'm not surprised that my middle school students don't know the facts about Obama, because they only watch MSNBC, Oprah, Letterman, SNL, etc. They didn't even know that he lives in a 4 million dollar home - they think he's a working-class Senator...sigh.

And of course, it didn't help matters much for me to see three separate articles about Obama in the latest Vogue magazine.

I do think the DemoMedia would love to scare people into voting for Obama, after all, didn't Malcolm X say, "by any means necessary"? So when in doubt, flash the race card in everyone's face and threaten us with violence.

    That's not democracy, that's fascism.

I am going to comment on tdo32861 comments. I understand you voting republican because you are a republican. But the democrats who decide to vote republican not based on the issue, but based on the reason you said, such as "his name sounds foreign and Islamic" is in itself dumb and racist. Chris Rock, Pdiddy no more speaks for Obama than Rush Limbaugh, the KKK speaks for John McCain. You know what should scare voters? After watching Sarah Palin's interview with Gibson and Couric, she will be one-72-years-old-presidential-heart attack of being President and she is a complete moron. That is what should scared voters. 8 years of a fail economic and foreign policy for one side, should be a slam-dunk for the other team to win. When you have one guy saying "the fundamental of the economy is strong" on the very day the markets crashed, and another guy in his campaign saying its a "mental" recession and that Americans are a bunch of whiners, while you have the other guy (Obama), since day one of his campaign, saying we got to stop and help people from losing their homes and jobs (which have happened in record numbers), then the choice should be clear. But wait a minute; even though the guy is talking a good game, he isn't wearing a U.S. lapel pin on his suit.
Listen; do you know why Reagan had a lot of the "Reagan" democrats in the first place? (Which people keep forgetting this point), is because the party that was in charge WAS the democrat (Carter) and people thought he was weak and voted against their party. Well the party that has been in charge of the country has been the Republican and some democrats are thinking about changing to vote republican. That's smells fishy. Hopefully this is the year we talk about the "Obama republicans".

What we see in this article is the same as has been going on for years, we are black and we are crying fowl.
What you seem to forget is that we are all Americans with the same goals whether black or white or otherwise. Black people need to shun that it is all about racist it is not. This is a great country and you can accomplish anything that you want, you just have to go after your dreams not hope they come to you by who you vote for. I am white a liberal and plan on voting for Obama, I am not voting for him because of his color and what he may represent but what he may be able to accomplish.

I am upset about this article. I am a proud supporter of Barack Obama. I am a white, middle-class female. This article puts racisim at the top of the agenda in this election. Making it sound like just blacks have a stake in this election. As a white MIDDLE CLASS female, I have just as much at stake. The entire middle class has a lot at stake here. To insinuate there would be riots if Barack lost puts blacks in a sterotypical position. Rise above this, and let's work together. I don't know what it's like to be black, so I can't say that I feel your pain. But we are all feeling the pain of the last 8 years. And many of us, white black yellow and even polka-dotted, want Barack Obama to win this election. And God willing, he will.

  • Posted By: sunshiine13 @ 09/28/2008 11:36:00 AM

don't you all think this election is turning into a circus. what happened to taking care of our country?? it seems to me that all everyone cares about is the black/white issues. doesn't anyone worry that the country is in it's worse shape to date. come on and quit being so childish and racist.

Biden is the ONLY one qualified

    • Posted By: truthfinder3 @ 09/28/2008 11:35:55 AM

Hey lesli, wasn't your man Biden one of the first to say 'OBAMA IS NO WAY QUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT OF USA'?

  • Posted By: TDogg @ 09/28/2008 11:24:27 AM

This entire article is about racism against Obama, yet in reality racism is now the opposite. You say if all black people go out and vote Obama can win this election. Actually black people only make up about 30% of the population so if whites were not voting for Barrack he would not even be as far as he has gotten. So who is racist? How many blacks are voting for McCain/Palin, the more qualified candidates?

The African American community has been vastly Democratic for decades because the Democratic party has been more inclusive than the Repubs. The Jesse Helms crew is not one that an Af Amer would look at and say "Oh yeah. I'm in!". 90+ % of Af Amers voted for Kerry and Bill Clinton. That was not an issue for whites. Now that they same percentage is voting for Obama, white people are dismayed. Yes, this is a time for change and it's historical!! Af Amers would not vote for just ANY Af Amer nominee. It's WHO Obama is....his intelligence, his vision, his analytical skills, his levelheadedness!! It's said that whites have no problem with the fact that Af Amers have had NO OTHER CHOICE but to vote for a white man for the highest office for decades!! Now we have a viable option of someone who looks like us and, yet, transcends race at the same time!! Yes, we are proud!! Yes, the majority will vote for him!! And, MOST IMPORTANTLY, it is NOT all about race to us. And, reading some of the ill-informed, judgemental, narrowminded, self-centered, posts of some of the white people, I am convined that they will never understand!!

Right now I think he has a good chance to win. I'm not voting for him but I still think he would make a good president. He doesn't have enough experience for the job YET. But he has stirred people in a positive way, which is great. I do hope to live long enogh to see a black man a president and a woman as president too. But I want them to be the right ones with the right experience and views for the country in a whole.

I love USA and of course we have a responsibility to do our civic duty and vote for whom we think would better serve the country and get us out of this Irag situation and our present economic conditions, we need Health care for all Americans our grandparents and senior citizens as well as poor Americans are passing away because of a lack of health care. We can spend billions of dollars to bail out financially negligent CEO's but will not help our working people who struggle everyday to put food on table but cant go to the doctor for a lack of or no health coverage. You say you dont know who to vote for: Anyone claiming they dont know who to vote for or this article makes them sick should move to another country, preferrably HAITI...VOTE FOR OBAMA...

  • Posted By: marlowrench @ 09/28/2008 11:35:27 AM

This article makes me so mad. To think that these people are voting on the color of skin instead of character or experience. If white people vote for Mccain just because his is white we are prejudice, but if a black person votes for Obama just because he is black it is ok!!! I don't think so !!!! I am so tired of this racism towards white people !!!! And Obama is half white. His white mom and grandparents raised him and his black father left him. If his skin color had turned out white , do you think he would be where is today?

    I guess I just don't understand the 'African-American' community............just like I don't understand the Irish-American community, the Latin-American community, the Asian-American community.etc. etc. etc.
I'm a Heinz-57 mutt myself. Ihave lineage in Europe, for sure, and yet one of my ancestors was Rebecca Rolfe, commonly known to you folks by her maiden name, Pocohontas. Evntually, we'll all begin to realize this about race.........there is only one.........the human race. We're not advanced enough yet as a civilization to come to that realization yet. We have too many people that are white, black, brown, yellow, green, orange anf such who teach their children to fear and even hate the color of another person. Sad.............children are never racists until they're taught to be. And we have all colors of parents who are more than willing to teach them well.

As an African American woman who is a registered Democrat...I must say...

    this article is absolutely ignorant!

  • Posted By: pfsdmcgill @ 09/28/2008 10:57:28 AM

Having read both of Obama's books, one can only come away with the idea that his core belief system is that of a socialist. Most interestingly, the current Republican administration has repeatedly demonstrated that they are capitalist only on the upside. On the downside, they too are socialist and committed to bailing out big business, but never the little guy. Overall, the socialist model works only with relatively small and homogenous populations like the scandinavian countries. (People do not like giving things to people that are not like them.) The challenge is how much the government can take from the hyper-productive to support the underproductive.
An Obama presidency that addresses many issues in a market oriented approach instead of a big government approach could be a win. An Obama presidency that nationalizes even more of our economy could represent the acceleration of our decline. On the other side a McCain-Palin administration with a conservative populist governance model would create significant stability and create main street solutions that serve all the people instead of the connected few.

You said you "read" both of Obama's books. Who did you get to read them to you?

  • Posted By: screaminginboise @ 09/28/2008 11:35:06 AM

Once again, we have evidence that blacks are far more racist than anyone else in America. They are proud of the fact they are voting for someone based solely on the color of his skin, but God help a white who does the same thing. Obama should lose... not because he's black but because he's inexperienced and incompetant, and because he still hasn't provided any evidence that he is prepared to be President to all Americans, not just the black ones.

    Dumbest. Article. Ever.

  • Posted By: rn7755 @ 09/28/2008 11:34:59 AM

They will be "mad" if a black man doesn't win? Protests? What's that supposed to say about the African-American community? Seems to me that it should be about who has the experience and can lead this country. Hmmm.....

  • Posted By: dj357 @ 09/28/2008 11:34:44 AM

The problem with this kind of attitude is that black voters feel that this is the only chance that a black man will ever run for President. It is the first time and probably not be the last. To say that you will be mad because your candidate lost is one thing, but to say you will be mad and protest because a black candidate lost an election is absurd. We need to be on target about the candidates and who will move the country in the right direction. I would not care if the candidate was orange...getting the job done is what we all really need to be concerned with.
