i understand completely how it 'would feel if Obama loses'...just like it felt to millions of WOMEN when Hilary lost the nomination! I am now an angry white woman! I feel my voice doesn't matter, anyway. My hope went down the drain. I understand how important it is for this country to have Obama as the next president, though. So, I will swallow my disenfranchised pride and vote for the best person regardless of gender or race!

McCain says Country First but I have not seen one thing since he was a POW to display he is a man of character. Obama is a Christian and good family man. McCain is an adulterer who does not know how many homes he owns. He flip flops and grandstands so much and is willing to jeopardize a bi-partisan since he found out a week ago the economy is not sound. Trickle down economics does not work.

What he isn't, not a genetic drop of, is 'African-American,' the descendant of enslaved Africans brought to America chained in slave ships. He hasn't a single ancestor who was a slave. Instead, his Arab ancestors were slave owners! Slave-trading was the main Arab business in East Africa for centuries until the British ended it.


Let that sink in: Obama is not the descendant of slaves, he is the descendant of slave owners. Thus he makes the perfect Liberal Messiah.

Wow. People have got to understand that a Presidential Election is not a popularity contest. We can't give the job to someone based on skin color and/or gender. To do so would be the very same discrimination we've been fighting against for decades now. I hope that, when I apply for a job, my chances of getting that job are based on my experience and credentials...and not based on my skin color or gender. How much more important is it that we elect someone based on his credentials and experience when we elect (hire) someone for the position of Comander In Chief for the US??

I do not understand what gang-bangers, ex-cons and lazy American's think is going to happen if Barack is elected. Do they think he is going to sprinkle fairy dust on Congress and people who don't want to be responsibe citizens in this nation and hae Congress pass laws to give away more of our tax dollars on those who refuse to do right by folks who worked hard on getting an educaion and jobs that pay. Do the think gang-bangers and ex-cons are going to change their ways and do what they know is right instead of trying to make a fast buck or take the easy way out which isn't easy at all? Why does Barack have to e in office for those things to happen which they will not anyway. You want somebody to stand up for you...STAND UP FOR YOURSELF! Clean your act up, be a member of society, get educated an get rid of the thug lifestyle that is everywhere in black culture, the illiterate talk, emails and text messages. Stop using the "N" word on one another like its something cute to say. Barack isn't one of you, he is a responsible member of society and had you been a responsible member of society you might see others in a different light too regardless of skin color. Only you can change your social status beginning with geting an education and monitoring what your children are doing in and out of school. I teach and I see kids both black and white being passed around to relatives by parents to be raised and that is a serious problem. Be involved! It doesn't matter who goes into the white house, those who think Barack is going to do something for poor old repressed me who will not change their lazy way or do what is right because it's the white way, but will complain about everything will be just as dissapointed as if McCain had won. Jessie Jackson realized this and he was busted when his mic was open. Be your own hope, that is how our country works.

Blacks voting for Obama is no sadder than white women voting for McCain because Sarah Palin IS A (white) WOMAN! That is even more of a stretch! Add to that the white men backing Palin as VP becuase they think it will keep Obama out of the White House and you get a lot of "sad" people supporting candidates for reasons OTHER THAN THE CANDIDATES QUALIFICATIONS.

Barack has always look after his how Ass and has never roll up his sleeves to do nothing but whats good for him and the american people are so head strong to be fooled by him it's just crazy. Obama has sold out many times over and I am just shaking my head in dis-belief as to how he will be our new president. I tell you this election stinks to high heaven, because you have weakness in Obama vs Strong and Experience in McCain and weakness wins......I just want I can die for 8ys and come back after Obama has gone that is how much I disagree with this person, on the other hand I belong in America far more then he does because I can trace my roots back 100's of years and Obama's roots began when he was born...........

I find this article very disturbing to say the least! I could care less the color of ones skin or gender as long as that person is qualified for the position he or she may running for. But, when you read this article what you see is that the majority are voting for him because Mr. Obama is in fact black. What about the qualifications? What about the issues? To cast a vote for somebody just based on the color or gender is just plain wrong!

Newsweek acts as if all African Americans are going to vote for Obama. My wife and I aren't. It's ridiculous that "our" people are going to show him so much support only because he's black. It's racist if white people do that....it's racist if we do it, too. Obama doesn't even share the same positions as most African Americans....it'll be a shame if he wins. He's done nothing to deserve it. Oh, there was that speech in 2004......
