CAMPAIGN 2008

Worlds Apart

After last week's debate, it's obvious how different the foreign policies of Barack Obama and John McCain would be. What's less well understood are the key factors that shaped their world views. Here are five of them.

Sarah Palin has not room to question anybody on ethics or any other character traits. She has cheated on her husband with his best friend, her daughter has become pregnant by a piece of trash kid who has now dropped out of school. Her husaband thinks he is her personal assistant or Lt. Governor. Plus she is dumber than a stump when it comes to forgein policy or any other political thing. That's why the McCain camp has kept her hidden from the press. Katie Couric almost destroyed her and wasn't even asking her hard questions. Now my main three questions--- 1)"what is up with John McCain's teeth? Does her know there are places he can go to get them at least cleaned. Maybe he needs Barack Obama's health care or dental care? 2) And why don't they show his daughter from Bangledesh? They always show Megan with her breasts poked out. 3) And now the fainal question, is Cindy McCain back on prescription drugs, her eyes are always red and watery. She has two facial expressions, one a blank stare and the other a laughing expression.

John McCain is a good man, who got carried away by ambition, bad people and bad decisions. I think his conscience is bothering him now, and makes him more appealing, and more the man I know him to be.

Sarah Palin may be smart, but she's not who you think she is. Sarah Palin is a traitor to America and to her party.

"Not all Democrats agree with Mr. Frank that such policies are off-limits to criticism. Last week Rep. Artur Davis of Alabama said in a statement: 'Like a lot of my Democratic colleagues I was too slow to appreciate the recklessness of Fannie and Freddie. I defended their efforts to encourage affordable homeownership, when in retrospect, I should have heeded the concerns raised by their regulator in 2004. Frankly, I wish my Democratic colleagues would admit when it comes to Fannie and Freddie, we were wrong.'

"Mr. Davis is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus."

    'Rank snobbery'

Camille Paglia, who supports Sen. Barack Obama, has nothing but scorn for the way the media has treated Sarah Palin.

"The mountain of rubbish poured out about Palin over the past month would rival Everest. What a disgrace for our jabbering army of liberal journalists and commentators, too many of whom behaved like snippy jackasses," Miss Paglia writes at www.salon.com.

"The bourgeois conventionalism and rank snobbery of these alleged humanitarians stank up the place. As for Palin's brutally edited interviews with Charlie Gibson and that viper, Katie Couric, don't we all know that the best bits ended up on the cutting-room floor? Something has gone seriously wrong with Democratic ideology, which seems to have become a candied set of holier-than-thou bromides attached like tutti-frutti to a quivering green Jell-O mold of adolescent sentimentality."

All eyes on Obama since he is up in the polls! This is great for mccain with 3 weeks before the election! All eyes on Obama means that the skeptics will be picking apart obama's policies and his tax plan! All this focus will let the voters see that under an Obama administration. They will be subject to higher taxes albeit his plan says otherwise but with 3 weeks left the skeptics get to look at it real good and also look at independent reports that debunk the Obama tax plan! Mccain may have played this one just right with one debate left he should be able to pull ahead in the polls before November 4 leaving Obama no time to adjust! FYI; ON OCT 9TH 2004 AL GORE HAD A 12 PT LEAD IN ALL POLLS OVER G.W. BUSH! BUT LOST TO HIM.... ADD THE FACTS THAT ACORN OFFICE GOT RAIDED WE JUST MIGHT HAVE A GAME CHANGER AFTER ALL!

    The Antichrist!:
When George Soros failed to obtain the election of his candidate, John Kerry, in 2004, he brooded for a while, even said he might get out of politics altogether, but he just couldn???t stop himself. He has stated publicly that he wishes to burst the ???bubble of American supremacy,??? because he says our preeminence in the world is a detriment to global ???equilibrium.??? So far, he has failed, but he keeps on trying.

And Mr. Soros has made no secret either of the fact that he sees the shortest way to effect political shake-ups, what he terms ???regime changes,??? is through very difficult economic conditions.

America has not yet felt the full force of Soros style economic shock treatment. But others have.

Soros made his first billion in 1992 by shorting the British pound with leveraged billions in financial bets, and became known as the man who broke the Bank of England. He broke it on the backs of hard-working British citizens who immediately saw their homes severely devalued and their life savings cut drastically in comparative worth almost overnight.

When the Asian Financial Crisis of 1997 threatened to spread globally, George Soros was right in the thick of it. Soros was accused by the Malaysian Prime Minister of causing the collapse with his monetary machinations, and he was branded in Thailand as an ???economic war criminal??? who ???sucks the blood from the people.??? Right in the middle of this crisis, Soros dashed off his book, The Crisis of Global Capitalism, which demanded a ???third way??? toward economic stability.

Wake up, America, before it is too late!!!!

Cuba, Vietnam. Laos, Cambodia, Iran, Nicaragua, Somalia, Iraq. Let our friends, allies and the innocents die, by the millions if necessary. Just so long as they are not Americans. We are the Democratic Party, and for 50 years, from the Bay of Pigs to the Basra Highway and beyond, we have never met a fight we could not pressure our government to run away from, or friends and allies we could not abandon. Only the French are more defeatist than we, but together America, we can change that. And its change we can believe in. Come on America, and vote Democrat. It's the story of our generation. Together, we can re-live that pride we haven't felt since the 1970's. If we just blindly pull together, we really can make this just like it really is Jimmy Carter's lost second term. Yes we can!

    The Bush Depression

In a few weeks we will make a choice that will decide our future.
I follow an economist named Bob Proctor. He has called the top and bottom of every market crash since the 70s correctly.
Also, he perfectly predicted the current real estate market meltdown and the picture he paints about what will happen in the next couple years
is terrifying. He thinks it will be worse then the great depression.
The banks in the U.S. are going under one after the other. Countrywide the largest morgage bank in the world,Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch which are 3 out of the top 5 wall street firms. Also, Fanny and Freddy Mae which hold 50 percent of the home loans in the United States.
The government took them over because they are essentially bankrupt. If they didn't the entire financially system would virtually shut down, the stock market would crash and we would suffer beyond what any of us have seen before.

McCain just like Bush " doesn't understand the economy".
That not just my opinion its his own words. Not only does he not understand how to fix it but he does not understand exactly what is broken.
It is no surprise that he doesn't. The people that make up these securities use complex mathematical models very few people understand.
Bush and McCain both can take the credit for this mess since they helped deregulate the laws that were protecting us.

Bush's economic advisor Phil Graham wrote the deregulation bill that allowed banks to take huge risks with all of our future.
Now, Phil Graham is the head of McCain's economic policy. He is also McCain's choice for the next secretary of the treasury.
No one in this country can afford for that to happen. The last time Bush met with his economic advisors was in March. He either didn't care or didn't realize that anything was wrong. Phil Graham had the guts to say that we are in a mental recession after he helped create the worst economy meltdown in our lifetime.
It will take the best and brightest minds in the world to get us out of this nightmare. As bad as Bush has done, McCain would be
even more destructive because things are in much worse shape. The next president will not inherit a surplus like Bush did but a tanking economy and a 11,600,000,000,000 (trillion) dollars deficit.Bush created a national debt larger then the first 42 presidents combined
If you do what you have always done then you will get what you have always got.
When it comes to policy Bush and McCain are the same 90 percent of the time.
So why isnt obama 25 points ahead
The chairman of McCains campaign recently said that people don't vote on issues they vote on a personality composite. Which means he is trying to sell you personality instead of results.
Let's teach him we are smarter than that .

31 states are voting now, dont wait

The reason we lost the Vietnam war is simple. It was an unpopular war that we should not have gotten into in the first place just like it is now with the Iraqi war. The only difference between the two now is that the Iraqi people had no stomache for war like the Vietnamees had. The Iraqi people were tired of their governments underhanded ways of working and always keeping them from something they should've had (Freedom)

    • Posted By: JEM1024 @ 10/02/2008 4:51:02 PM

I think you may wish to do some homework. The people of South Vietnam had no like for their government. Under Diem, there was a lack of freedom and plenty of oppression. Hence the reason for his assassination in 1963. I also fail to understand how you believe they had a stomach for war. They had been in war for years prior to our involvement while under French influence. We should have moved completely away from Vietnam under the Kennedy administration but he refused. He believed completely in the domino effect and did not want to be seen in the same light as Truman for losing Korea. Study up a little??? it may help you.

obama wants to be the citizen of the world,mcCain wants to be a citizen of the united states.obama wants to talk to our enemies and sing kumbaya, remember hitler.mcCain wants nothing to do with them and tells them all to go to hell.if obama would have been in charge when hitler was around we would all be lamp shades or bars of soap.obama sat in a church for twenty years calling for hate of america,he was friends with terriorists, shady friends that are in prison. the guy hates america. what goes through you're whacko minds that can't see this. if he gets in you deserve what you get. but maybe its best ,then you'll realize what you've done.

You can't accuse someone of hating America simply because he wants to improve it. Moreover, improving international relations is a crucial component to peace and stability for the US. You sound like a racist with your unfounded rants.

      • Posted By: JEM1024 @ 10/02/2008 4:42:07 PM

How does he sound like a racist? It is you that is sounding racist by spouting off polarizing terms that have no foundation in what this person has said. Could you possibly muster out a "you sound like an uninformed person?" There is nothing in the post that is racist other than this person???s clear dislike for Obama who just happens to be a minority. You use a typical liberal tactic of crying racism every time you are attacked to deflect attention.

So to you??? good job on being an atypical leftist liberal. We are all proud of how you can attack an issue head on.
