      Here you go, lets add Palin to the mix...

      Here you go Palin fans...What has been exposed of Palin is called the Peter Principle. I will even provide the link....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Principle Every person with the exception of Bush and his administration reaches it some point in their life. Eight years late, and this article has nothing to do with him.

      When a person is properly vetted, they go through an interview process. When a person is improperly vetted, things come out sometimes in the worst possible fashion. When you saw Palin being interviewed by Couric, the answers that were given by her were unscripted. Unfortunately, questions were not asked of Palin like Couric and the three other interviews she gave as part of the vetting process. If she was asked anything like that before she was introduced, she would never have made the cut. Or you can speculate that she was given questions like that, and McCain liked the answers she gave. We will never know.

      Sure you can practice for the debate. Sure you can even memorize some things, and perhaps we may see some improvement on her answers Thursday. However it does not change the fact she has gone way over her head with her abilities.

      George Will, David Frum, and David Brooks and Kathleen Parker have asked her to step down. Zakaria is now joined in the chorus of concern. I think that everyone should be taking a close look and think about one thing. Do you think based upon her interviews, that you can look at someone in their eye and say, I think Palin is presidential, and can take over in a moments notice?

      And one other note, if Palin did step down, she would not be the first one either. Think Spiro Agnew and Thomas Eagleton in modern times. Sure saving face is ideal, however, under these circumstances, is it better to save face, or think of the good of our country. And this my fellow bloggers is coming from an Independent who would not have hestitated to vote for McCain in 2000.

    Tom or John which is it? Was this "Obama's Senior Moment" or a flustered and rattled "GAFF" of monumental proportions by Mr. Cool Calm and Collected (Obama). "The Vices of Their Virtues" - Who is the "Tom" that Obama referred to when addressing John McCain during the debate? Was there a Tom in the audience or on the stage?"John McCain's impetuosity is either thrilling or disturbing. Barack Obama's cool is either sober or detached. "
    Obama became so rattled and ruffles at one point in the debate that he while pointing with his right index finger "TOM" and had to sputter as he often does to correct himself. Obama lost his composure and addressed John McCain as Tom - that is really a senior moment or he was terribly rattled. Perhaps this "Obama Senior Moment" escaped the liberal media and weak conservatives but it was a mistake in a crucial debate. Can you imagine in discussions with Putin that Obama would call him by his Christian name "TOM" - I can because unlike McCain looking in Putin???s eyes and seeing
    KGB" Senator Obama would see "Brother Putin".

    With less than two months before the election, Republicans and Democrats are driving it home: This is the election of the century.

    And they're right: There is a lot at stake this year. While Obama dismisses his earlier commitments to fair trade as "overheated," Nader would replace NAFTA with uniform environmental and labor standards. And while McCain chants "drill, baby, drill," and Obama prepares to replace Big Oil with Big Corn or Big Nukes, Nader calls for a renewable infrastructure.

    But the Democrats tell us that we cannot vote for Nader because there is too much at stake this year. After eight years of George W. Bush, the argument goes, we cannot afford another Republican. We must rally behind the change party. And for the most part, students are buying it. Emphatically anybody-but-Bush and unfamiliar with the Democrats' duplicity, these students mistakenly believe that ousting the current administration will exorcise the demons of war, jingoism and economic imperialism they represent.

      It was the Clinton administration, obsessed with multiculturalism, that dictated where mortgage lenders could lend, and originally helped create the market for the high-risk subprime loans.

      Tough new regulations forced lenders into high-risk areas where they had no choice but to lower lending standards to make the loans that sound business practices had previously guarded against making. It was either that or face stiff government penalties.

      The untold story in this national crisis is that President Clinton put on steroids the Community Redevelopment Act, a well-intended Carter-era law designed to encourage minority and low income homeownership. In so doing, he helped create the market for the risky subprime loans that he and Democrats now decry as not only greedy but "predatory."

      In 2003 and 2004, the Bush administration called for regulation of Fannie and Freddie, but it was stopped by Chris Dodd, the Democratic chairman of the Senate banking committee.

      John McCain tried to warn the country about Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae back in 2005, and pushed the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005.

      However, a quote from Democrat Barney Frank: "These two entities, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, are not facing any kind of financial crisis. The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing".

      We're seeing the results of the above.

      I was wondering how can the election of Obama bring stability to the markets when he wants to tax all those who makes 42000 or more a year and those capital gain markets. By doing such a foolish thing there will be no one to tax if the markets fail and we head into a depression. I think you and others need to realize that under Obama if taxes are raised then we will send a strong message to the markets that I think you are bluffing and when they crash and they will under his administration then who do you Blame. This guy is all wrong for business and he is getting voters who have lost money, and want change and is not looking at the business side of this......Again if he Barry wins give me sleeping pills for 8yrs and wake me up when he is gone.

"Can you imagine what the reaction will be in the Middle East if Obama is not elected President? Can you imagine the anger, the rage that this will engender towards Americans? Only the election of Mr. Obama can repair our image in the world" She later led reporters in a chant of :" No Obama No peace. No Obama No peace." Several reporters openly wept. Others prayed. It was an unforgettable scene.

    Here's something I think everyone should read before they cast their vote in NOV. I am a Democrat however, for the first time I think I'm leaning towards voting for a Republican. I'm very upset at some of the things I have been reading on Obama. PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ THIS. PLEASE! WE ALL NEED TO BE AWARE OF THIS BEFORE WE PUT HIM INTO THE WHITE HOUSE.
