And what about the parents of these racially offensive kids ??????

The theory of "stupid parents" is better than that of "stupid kids", but both hold.

Parents are not fulfilling the role, better the obligation or duty, of informing their kids about respecting "others" and about respecting the diversity of human beings. And about tolerance if they are true Christians, or true human beings and not despicable bullies.

These kids are going to have a lot ot trouble in the future. They are going to live in the next decades in a society where non whites are increasing their numbers. By 2042 according to the U. S. Census Bureau the White Majority will be a Minority before the other races and the multiracials. This was reported by the New York Times in August.

How will they feel about seeing many non Whites doing Great Achievements in many Areas ??????, like politics ??????. How Will they feel about mayors, governors or presidents that are not White ??????.

How will these kids feel in the future about having bosses that are not White ??????.

If the Chief Executive Officer ot their corporation is non White ??????.

If their main customers or clients are non white ?????? or internationals ??????

Are they going to sell to other countries using bullying and hate ??????

The parents of these kids are preparing their children for a World of the Past. For a World of Hate, of Stupid and Idiotic Bullies. Prepared to be Human Trash that believes that is better than "the others" but is left behind by many non Whites that are working harder, studying harder and enduring the bullying of those that are going to fail in life some years later.

Look here and you will see what is going to happen in the matter of racial composition of the electorate and in demographic statistics :

Being a White Bully is staying in the past. Those kids should be studying or doing sports, or having some non White friends, and helping them to integrate to their University Campus, a School is a microcosmos but it is not the whole Society or World.

    motive?

America is a racist society. The election has brought it to the front page and you still insist it's just a "few bad apples".

If Senator Obama(and, by implication thousands of parishoners) can be held responsible for Reverend Wright's comments--

If every Muslim (and there are billions of 'em) can be held responsible for the actions of a few terrorists--

Then so too can White America can be held responsible for the multitude (this merely being the latest example) of racist comments and acts centered around this campaign.

Pull your heads out of the sand. Admitting there's a problem is the first step towards a solution.

    Love,
    JM

A few cowardly White Christians at this school did in effigy what the majority of White "Christians" would love to do to all non-whites.. But the only thing stopping them is the fear of being arrested.

This is racial America at display! Get rid of this mindset, guys! Nobody in the entire world cares for the melanin concentration in your skin at all anymore. This is the 21st century and the world is already in the "Post - American" phase.

Enough it's enough, why not have a black president in the white house, I will vote for B. Obama because somebody has to show this racist idiots that there is smart people in other etnic groups too. and I believe
that Barrack Obama will be a great president if given a chance. I am hispanic and I can't wait for election day.
and when it comes about some students complaining and criticizing minority students and saying that those
minority students were acepted base on affirmative action, let me tell you that my own son was acepted at UC Berkeley not because he is hispanic but because he got a 4.43 GPA in High School.

Okay all of these explanations or guesses of what the motive was. I can offer a suggestion to this matter. It was a Hate Crime and those responsible for this act should not be allowed to return to this school and charged with a hate crime. To hand an effigy of a black man and let it be known who they are targeting is proof enough. Those who say it was a dumb prank are dumb themselves if they expect people to believe that statement. There is no "mystery motive" it is from hate. We have got to stop letting things suchas this be swept under the rug. This type of tolerance is what continues the "breeding" of behavior that we as Americans are trying to get rid of. It is racism, but more importantly a crime and should be dealt with as such. Those who are against this should march and demand that these criminals not be returned to repeat such a horrible act. PML New Orleans,Louisiana.

Racism is a problem in our country, but it only seems to apply if the actions are initiated by the white people. It seems if a black person espouses a racial slur against a white person, or if they commit a violent sexual crime/ murder that is clearly racially motivated against a white person ... there is no media attention nor comments made about it. When Reverend Wright stood up in front of thousands of followers and damned America and the white race it was excused by Obama as just an old man (an uncle) who had witnessed racial inequality. Hog wash ... racism is racism and should be condemned not matter who is exacting it. Yes these students were wrong, but they are only responding to the times ... the Rev Wright era.

Can you not understand how Rev. Wright might have a hard time with letting go of all he knew and experienced? He is old enough to have experienced some of the worst of America. Whites only drinking fountains and restaurants, colored entrance around back, hotels he could not have stayed in, stores he could not shop in, the back of the bus, being called boy no matter his age and in many places the worst treatment came from those with the badges or the government itself. If racism was indeed gone, perhaps Rev Wright and others might have an easier time letting go of the pain and anger they feel as a result. If you have not walked in those shoes we cannot possibly understand the anger and hurt black people have experienced. Perhaps Obama understood at least part of that anger. He too, had to deal with racism that, as a child, he probably understood even less because he was not raised with those who would have shared the experience. I agree that crimes committed because of race should be prosecuted the same no matter the race of the perpetrator, but perhaps there are fewer committed by blacks or other minorities specifically because of the race of the crime victim. Either way, when someone does what these students did, it brings back a lot of memories for many of us, no matter what our color. I can only hope part of the punishments for the perpetrators would be researching and writing a very long essay about the crimes perpetrated against blacks, the Jim Crow laws, the suffering and deaths of so many just because they were black. And if possible, that should also include meeting with some of the elder peers of Rev. Wright and finding out what they suffered as black people in this country. Either that or expulsion from school. Providing that the FBI or Secret Service doesn???t arrest them for making threats against a nominated presidential candidate. You should not be able to do what they did and get away with it.

I believe that trainings about white privilege could benefit not just George Fox students and faculty, but all of us across the country. If people (Christians, in the case of George Fox) opened their hearts and minds, they'd clearly see the disparities that exist when opportunities accrue -- or don't accrue to people simply because of the color of their skin. Affirmative action, if carried out properly, does not dumb down; it helps level the historically unjust playing field in our country. It speaks to a future where everyone's cultural and religious differences are appreciated. We all benefit from the variety of perspectives and understanding that diversity brings to any table. The achievements of these programs include moving all of us toward a more just society, where there is no achievement gap in K-12 or gross racial disparities in poverty, unemployment, prison populations, etc., and where ignorant people wouldn't ever consider hanging an effigy of anyone from a tree. We all benefit when we lift each other up. I am a 56-year-old white woman.

Today marks the start of the annual three-day Eid al Fitr holiday which follows the Muslim holy month of Ramadan , but what does that have to do with America?

There are strong reasons to think that the Obama people are behind this--and if you can't think why, then you don't know how they have been behaving in this campaign and in the primaries. It's a common technique in certain circles, shall we say.
