I realize that there are people who may find this show as a joke, or that being a DCC is all about looking hot in a skimpy uniform and you're entitled to your own opinion. I watch the show and it's funny how I never have seen someone "purge" nor have I heard K.F. promoting such a thing on the show. To the dad in Seattle or anyone else who thinks the bar is set really low, and that the girls are attention whores just shows your ignorance. The skills that you have to have to make the squad are very technical as well as the amount of hard work and dedication that these girls have endured to make their dream of becoming a DCC come true. It is not fair for someone to cast judgement on a group of girls who are living their dream because they have a nice figure and they wear the famous DCC uniform. It would be an embarrassment to the Dallas Cowboys to put big girls in the signature cheerleading uniform and let them dance on the field during halftime. I used to be on a squad that let some girls on the squad that did not look good in the uniform and it ticked everyone else off, because regardless if the girl was a good dancer all the attention goes straight for the big girl and our squad became a joke because this was allowed. It does not matter what team you are a member of or which sport you play, if you suck the coach isn't putting you out there to play, so why shouldn't cheerleading/dance teams be the same way? I have been in Finglas's position before and no one wants to hurt anyone's feelings or be the person that keeps someone from living their dreams, but it still has to be done and you have to look at it as what is the best move for the entire team as a whole. Most of these girls have been dancing and cheering for years because it was their passion and they dedicated themselves to being a member of their team and for anyone who has ever been on a team of any kind you know that you are only as good as your weakest member, so therefore I completely understand why K.F. sets the bar high and continues to have the highest expectations from her girls. They after all are the DCC and if anyone could make it, what would be so special about being one?

KcKincaid - I agree with your comment. It needs to start with moms' of young girls, and dad's of young girls who support the mother, to teach what is the true beauty and value of the young girl; that it is not in the physical appearance - the value is in the inner nature/charactor. Father's need to teach and model for their sons respect for the girls and women. I am saddened by the mom's who "doll" up their young girls for those pagents starting at pre-school age.
TTT3cowboys- you need to get ahold of your thinking, its out of control. (if your comment is a serious reflection of who you are)

danelson doesnt pay attention. her partners daughter is very good. what angers you?

    • Posted By: danelson @ 10/10/2008 2:12:54 PM

There's nothing angering me. You actually believe if she was some anonymous person she would have moved forward. She was an absolute nervous wreck and performed terrible, then cried to her mother and said she was sorry. Then they promote her. That's just ridiculous nepotism!!!!

It's hard to disappoint people, it's hard to be honest with them, and it's a hard part of my job that I take very seriously.

Yet, she signed off on her partner on the show allowing her daughther to make an elimination cut even though she was nowhere near deserving. Very hypocrital!

To. TTT- I am 5' 110lbs and I was born in Texas and lived there 14 years. I have been told that I am very attractive and foxy. I don't consider myself a liberal. Again women should be respected as people not as objects.

TTT3cowboy: You spelled, "which" wrong. Is it because you are fat and stupid?? PS: You sound like a fool... LOL

Umm..TTT3cowboys: You spelled "which" wrong... Hmmmmm...is it becaue you're fat??

  • Posted By: star22 @ 10/10/2008 1:53:57 PM

TTT3cowboys, you should go to school and learn how to spell. You're calling people retarded and mentally challenged, but you have difficulty even writing proper English.

I feel sad for the women who aspire to become "cheerleaders" whether elementary, high school and beyond. There is no practical need for it. It is soft porn. I feel sad for the mothers who are believe it is something they want their prescious to become.

9 or so years ago , my husband and I were in Aruba when The Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders were doing their caladar. Every day in the gym , I saw one cheerleader named Alice. My husband and I were staying in the same resort that they were so we had a lot of interaction with them. I saw kelli fingerglass in the pool bathroom. She had just had a kid and i made the mistake of asking her when the baby was due. I felt bad about that . BUT she was a total BEOCH about it . And now that I watch the show, I am glad that I said it. It was a perfectly innocent comment, she did look pregnant ,4 monthes after she had her kid. Shame on her for saying those nasty things to those girls . Those comments will follow them and their self esteem forever.

I am sick and tired of the degrading of women in any way shape or form. They are not setting role models for our children or are they helping the women of today to be respected. Because of them and others like them who are only there for the money and for the men to ogle, women are still looked upon as a "piece of meat" . Until women stop putting themselves out there for men to stare upon and drool over , women will never be respected for their intelligence and character. Shame on these women and these women who help them become show whores and men's toys.

The show is a joke. My 10-year old daughter wanted to watch the show and i objected. She is now cheerleading in middle school, I think the DC Cheerleaders show sets the bar really low. Weigh ins, tight uniforms and big ***. Do i want my daughter thinking it's okay to purge before a game? No. About the only realistic, positive aspect of the show is the manners/hospitality segment.

A pretty face, nice pair of bolt-ons and 6% bodyfat will guarantee you a spot on the T&T show. The "team" i belonged to while in wrestling, cross country and football never espoused characteristics such as that shown by Finglas and her attention whores.

    • Posted By: copswife @ 10/10/2008 1:16:27 PM

Well maybe if you knew one or two of the DC Cheerleaders you would know that they don't all have big b''s and purge before a game, that they are fit and healthy, that they are educated, professional women, working fulltime and cheering because it was a dream as a young girl. Don't hate them for fulfilling a dream. I would rather my child look up to one of them for living a dream, than the likes of Spears or Madonna.

Hi. Abou ten years ago my husband and I were in Aruba and we ran stayed at The Allegro where the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders were doing their calander. There was a very nice that I met that was named Alice. She was the only one that I saw in the gym every morning that truly worked out. Kelli Finglass and I ran into each other in the bathroom. She just had a baby five monthes or so before but was still bloated and whatever. It steams me to hear her comments to those young girls that will follow them for the rest of their lives. YES, she is just as nasty in person and should lay off the BOTOX!

  • Posted By: bridgeburner99 @ 10/10/2008 12:38:02 PM

What I want to know is how such a mannered and gracious Finglass could fail to mention the inventor of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Texie Jane Waterman. However much Finglass may have updated the franchise, the truth of the matter is that Texie-Jane is the woman who made them the icons of the 80's that they were. I spent much of my youth at the Waterman School of Dance and while becoming a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader wasn't the dream of every or even most of the students of the school, we were proud of them and of Ms. Waterman's accomplishment. She was a lovely woman and she is missed to this day.

I have personally seen this show and i think its great, its not about what cheerleaders used to be weather 99% dumb or 95% slut but its about this woman making these women into all around good people. She is taking woman young and old that have one skill dancing and cheering and she is making them into well rounded people. I dont think there is anything wrong with this woman being as harsh as she is sometimes, the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders didnt get to be so famous by letting slobs and stupid idiots join there organization.
