John McCain is a good man, who got carried away by ambition, bad people and bad decisions. I think his conscience is bothering him now, and makes him more appealing, and more the man I know him to be.

Sarah Palin may be smart, but she's not who you think she is. Sarah Palin is a traitor to America and to her party.

    VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE
The upcoming election is the most critical election in the history of our nation. The very future of our nation???s foundation is at stake. Every person will be affected. If the liberals win, then our foundation will no longer be based on traditional morality. It will gradually but assuredly be based on an ever shifting, ever moving foundation. If the liberals win, the damage can???t be stopped with elections two, four or forty years from now. America will forever be changed. We will keep seeing a gradual and growing hostility toward people of faith. The morals of our nation will continue to decline. Our children and grandchildren will pay the price.

    • Posted By: barfly @ 10/09/2008 5:03:56 PM

...and if the neocons get it (which they won't) the country will be driven into the ground and we will stand by and watch our personal freedoms diminish

These neo-conservatives are really something else. Using faith to amass support. What ever happened to separation of church and state.

McCain should retire, and Palin should go back to shooting wolves from planes or whatever the hell it is that she does.

Vote John McCain!!!! Vote John McCain!!!!
I want the President to be someone who can think for himself and not rely exclusively like a blind person on a particular advisor. I want someone who understands numbers and can make analytical decisions himself. Years of computing payloads, fuel requirements, weather and distances as a pilot are the experiences that John McCain brings to the table when listening to economic proposals.

His eyes will not glaze over when there are ten page budget spreadsheet proposals presented to him. Barack Obama and Joe Biden have no mathematical or quantitative education or experience between them. They do not teach accounting in law school.

That is why they offer basic basic accounting to attorneys as continuing education classes after they are licensed. I also am willing to bet that neither Barack Obama or Joe Biden never took a basic accounting continuing legal education class to improve their lack of skills.

Both Obama and Biden were political science majors as undergraduate which means they have no quantitative training or mathematical background. The average nurse who gives vaccinations or antibiotics shots have better computational and mathematical training than either Joe Biden or Barack Obama. A nurse knows not to give you a tenfold quantity of any particular drug and has a good foundation in mathematics. Similarly all pilots are trained in vectors and physics.

John McCain is the one who can come up with solutions to our economic problems.

Barack Obama and Joe Biden are mathematically challenged. Send them back to school.

    Vote John McCain!!!!

    Vote for John McCain!!!!!!!!
John McCain is the one who can come up with solutions to our economic problems. Barack Obama and Joe Biden are mathematically challenged. Send them back to school and this time have them study something that is useful.
Joe Biden with his history and political science double major in college and Barack Obama???s major in political science give them absoloutely no economic, scientific, quantitative or analytical background to handle the pressing economic and military problems facing our country.
These two mathematically challenged Democrats are supposed to be able to crunch numbers and understand how to cope with our economic and budget crisis. Two people who probably can???t add four numbers together are suppose help solve our economic crisis.
Do you know that they offer basic accounting continuing education classes to lawyers because most lawyers do not understand simple accounting. We have had enough mathematically challenged lawyers screw up our country. You at least know that John McCain has the computational and analytic skills to compute fuel loads, cargo weights, wind speeds, and trip distances to keep from running out of gas on missions.

How would you like it, if Joe Biden or Barack Obama would take the controls and fly your Boeing 777 on your next commercial flight here in the US. Most independent and undecided voters would not rest easy knowing that Biden or Obama can rely on what they learned in their civil procedure class to help you land safely and not run out of jet fuel during the trip. Pilots have proven analytical skills.
There is a saying that there are old and bold pilots but no old bold pilots. John McCain has that good judgment and he has the proven analytical skills to be able to tackle our budget problems. Barack Obama and Joe Biden can spend the next four years and take some accounting and economics continuing legal education classes.
After four years of academic coursework, then they might be able to throw their hat in the ring. Given their academic training, a trillion dollars may look the same as a million dollars on a budget spreadsheet.
Vote for John McCain!! He is the one who can come up with solutions to our economic problems.

Vote John McCain!!!! Vote John McCain!!!!

"Not all Democrats agree with Mr. Frank that such policies are off-limits to criticism. Last week Rep. Artur Davis of Alabama said in a statement: 'Like a lot of my Democratic colleagues I was too slow to appreciate the recklessness of Fannie and Freddie. I defended their efforts to encourage affordable homeownership, when in retrospect, I should have heeded the concerns raised by their regulator in 2004. Frankly, I wish my Democratic colleagues would admit when it comes to Fannie and Freddie, we were wrong.'

"Mr. Davis is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus."

    'Rank snobbery'

Camille Paglia, who supports Sen. Barack Obama, has nothing but scorn for the way the media has treated Sarah Palin.

"The mountain of rubbish poured out about Palin over the past month would rival Everest. What a disgrace for our jabbering army of liberal journalists and commentators, too many of whom behaved like snippy jackasses," Miss Paglia writes at www.salon.com.

"The bourgeois conventionalism and rank snobbery of these alleged humanitarians stank up the place. As for Palin's brutally edited interviews with Charlie Gibson and that viper, Katie Couric, don't we all know that the best bits ended up on the cutting-room floor? Something has gone seriously wrong with Democratic ideology, which seems to have become a candied set of holier-than-thou bromides attached like tutti-frutti to a quivering green Jell-O mold of adolescent sentimentality."

Beauty and the Beast unleashed their inner pit bulls and are attacking Obama with their same old tricks- character assassination, lies and distortion. But Joe Six Pack isn't fooled.

This is a quote from foxnews.com:

"The analysis also concluded that in the latest period, nearly 100 percent of the McCain's ads were negative, compared to 34 percent of Obama's ads."

McCain has nothing good to say about himself. How pathetic.

to willnotvoteobama: Seriously are you crazy? Apparently you are living in a different country than the rest of the sane people. Sarah Palin is not someone to be admired in the potential VP position (not that they really have a chance), I feel sorry and embarrassed for the position that she has been put into. But then I guess it was best for McCain's media attention to find someone that has been hiding in the back woods, disconnected from the normal civilization of America- to try and lift his lacking campaign efforts. Maybe someday he'll realize that his manipulative ways don't earn him points with the majority of the country- those who are sane.
And Sarah Palin did do great last night- I don't even know if a 6th grader could so exceptionally repeat what she has been told to say. Too bad Palin doesn't have anything of her own to say- she may only say those things that have been carefully laid out for her to say while she has been endlessly coached. Obviously if she needs that much work just for one debate, then she surely isn't even close to being ready for the White House.

Biden is damning himself to a hellish pit of political ridicule if he thinks it is in the least bit intelligent to MENTION Granholm. I live in Michigan. As a matter of fact, I can tell you where to find the areas Granholm has touched the most. Just look in any household in Flint, any dark allyway in Detroit. She's a true socialist, alright; bringing together the upper class and lower class into a pathetic, meager class in which many resort to theft, kidnapping, and murder to get through a bloody day. She blew us away, alright.

You can glorify a terrorist, rain praise upon the common criminal, and compliment the mightiest drug lords in the downtrodden countries in the world; you can use the media to make them look human, but please, PLEASE do not glorify this foolish Canadian hag that has so quickly damned the state I live in.

    The Antichrist!:
When George Soros failed to obtain the election of his candidate, John Kerry, in 2004, he brooded for a while, even said he might get out of politics altogether, but he just couldn???t stop himself. He has stated publicly that he wishes to burst the ???bubble of American supremacy,??? because he says our preeminence in the world is a detriment to global ???equilibrium.??? So far, he has failed, but he keeps on trying.

And Mr. Soros has made no secret either of the fact that he sees the shortest way to effect political shake-ups, what he terms ???regime changes,??? is through very difficult economic conditions.

America has not yet felt the full force of Soros style economic shock treatment. But others have.

Soros made his first billion in 1992 by shorting the British pound with leveraged billions in financial bets, and became known as the man who broke the Bank of England. He broke it on the backs of hard-working British citizens who immediately saw their homes severely devalued and their life savings cut drastically in comparative worth almost overnight.

When the Asian Financial Crisis of 1997 threatened to spread globally, George Soros was right in the thick of it. Soros was accused by the Malaysian Prime Minister of causing the collapse with his monetary machinations, and he was branded in Thailand as an ???economic war criminal??? who ???sucks the blood from the people.??? Right in the middle of this crisis, Soros dashed off his book, The Crisis of Global Capitalism, which demanded a ???third way??? toward economic stability.

Wake up, America, before it is too late!!!!

I am that segment of America you all currently call Main Street. I am as Middle America as middle gets. I have much more than blue collar roots. Well at least you could see Dad???s blue collar, rest his black lung racked soul, when he shook the coal dust out of it. I also did some time on the factory floor in Chicago before enlisting in the Army. There was no community organizer pretending to look out for me.
Life is not always easy out here where people live a real life, but most of us wouldn???t trade it for anything else that the rest of the world, including the alternate universes you live in, has to offer us. Your universe? That is where the basic principles of honor and morality were discarded long ago replaced by self-adulation. You lie to one another; you lie to us and worst of all you, with relative ease, you can look at your image in the mirror and lie to yourselves - all for the sake of political power, some self-perceived prestige or some utopian ideology that history has repeatedly proven a failure.
I am not the Joe Six-pack you envision. I know you better than you know yourselves and that of course will ultimately lead to your end. For us intellectually deficient out here that name just calls up an image of someone who is quite average, but I know what you see when you use it. That term of elitist endearment gives you an image of some pot bellied guy, wandering out of the liquor store with a 12 pack of beer, lottery tickets and half his butt crack sticking out from his jeans. Mr. Six-pack is your guy. He didn???t work today or most days because you extended his unemployment insurance. Your bus will pick him up on Election Day and you will give him a carton of smokes, promises of more of my money and maybe even a mortgage he can???t pay back for his vote. I don???t know what other images you get in your mind whenever you refer to me and the many millions like me who happen to populate this great land with one of those expressions you use to demonstrate just how in touch with us you really are. Your actions lead me to believe that you see a pathetic imbecile that cannot survive without your grand intervention, a collection of bitter, uneducated people clinging to guns and Bibles.

Maybe I should offer you another image. I go to work every day. I provide goods and services that people want and need. I get grease and dirt beneath my fingernails turning the wrenches that keep our great and free country chugging steadily along. I serve in the Police Departments, Fire Departments and Armed Forces of my country. I do many other necessary jobs that are probably well beneath your oversized egos and those prestigious educations of which you are so proud. I pay taxes. You waste them. I pay your salary by reading what you write; watching the movies you make and tuning in to the nightly propaganda productions you call objective journalism. If I contributed as little to my country materially and socially as you do, I could not earn a living out here in the real America. Neither could you. Your product, your Washington Speak and Hollywood nonsense have become quite stale. Imagine a place where a Barbara Walters enabled Whoopi Goldberg can call someone else stupid and you have the center of your universe.
In the past few weeks, we have come to know you even better. You have always tried to use class warfare to gain political power. Always pretending that you actually give a rat???s ass about Joe Six-pack living on Main Street, Middle America. No, Joe and everyone representative of Joe are just stage props for you. When you take off the tie, roll up your shirt sleeves being careful to not drop the cuff links, and walk the rope line talking pap about how deeply you feel Joe???s pain, it does not convince anyone that you are like us. When you media types, Hollywood nitwits, Beltway pundits and bandits dedicate all of your time trying to convince yourselves that the only way one from our working class could ever enter the Whitehouse is on a tour or with the janitorial crew then you have the class war you have always sought.
We???ll see you on Election Day.

      JD PENDRY

    The Bush Depression

In a few weeks we will make a choice that will decide our future.
I follow an economist named Bob Proctor. He has called the top and bottom of every market crash since the 70s correctly.
Also, he perfectly predicted the current real estate market meltdown and the picture he paints about what will happen in the next couple years
is terrifying. He thinks it will be worse then the great depression.
The banks in the U.S. are going under one after the other. Countrywide the largest morgage bank in the world,Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch which are 3 out of the top 5 wall street firms. Also, Fanny and Freddy Mae which hold 50 percent of the home loans in the United States.
The government took them over because they are essentially bankrupt. If they didn't the entire financially system would virtually shut down, the stock market would crash and we would suffer beyond what any of us have seen before.

McCain just like Bush " doesn't understand the economy".
That not just my opinion its his own words. Not only does he not understand how to fix it but he does not understand exactly what is broken.
It is no surprise that he doesn't. The people that make up these securities use complex mathematical models very few people understand.
Bush and McCain both can take the credit for this mess since they helped deregulate the laws that were protecting us.

Bush's economic advisor Phil Graham wrote the deregulation bill that allowed banks to take huge risks with all of our future.
Now, Phil Graham is the head of McCain's economic policy. He is also McCain's choice for the next secretary of the treasury.
No one in this country can afford for that to happen. The last time Bush met with his economic advisors was in March. He either didn't care or didn't realize that anything was wrong. Phil Graham had the guts to say that we are in a mental recession after he helped create the worst economy meltdown in our lifetime.
It will take the best and brightest minds in the world to get us out of this nightmare. As bad as Bush has done, McCain would be
even more destructive because things are in much worse shape. The next president will not inherit a surplus like Bush did but a tanking economy and a 11,600,000,000,000 (trillion) dollars deficit.Bush created a national debt larger then the first 42 presidents combined
If you do what you have always done then you will get what you have always got.
When it comes to policy Bush and McCain are the same 90 percent of the time.
So why isnt obama 25 points ahead

The chairman of McCains campaign recently said that people don't vote on issues they vote on a personality composite. Which means he is trying to sell you personality instead of results.

Let's teach him we are smarter than that .
