      Neos, I read on several web sites that Sarah Palin's strategy will be to attack Joe Biden...as long as she keeps him on the defense, she wins. I disagree. She had better answer questions intelligently and without spinning.

    How about a story on Biden's long standing relationship to the credit card industry, the stalled credit card reform bill, passed by house but dead in the Senate, where Biden "works." (And opposed by Bush. Idiot)

        The link below contains a purported list of the top 25 in Congress who got contributions from the folks at Fannie and Freddie. Obama is listed third, after Dodd and Kerry, even though Obama is just a junior Senator. Obama is followed next by Clinton. Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi are on the list as well.

    In the last month Alaskans learned some things about Palin they did NOT know and say they do NOT like.

    But how can this be if she went through a number of debates in Alaska when running for Governor?

    Obviously she did NOT provide real substance in her answers in Alaska so people really did NOT get to know her core positions and abilities.

    Could it be they JUST LIKED HER STYLE?

    IS THAT ALL WE ARE GOING TO SEE AND SETTLE FOR FROM HER AT THE DEBATE TONIGHT IS HER STYLE?

    ARE WE (in this election) GOING TO MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE ON A NATIONAL LEVEL THAT SOME ALASKANS DID AT THE STATE LEVEL AND GIVE HER A PASS FOR VP JUST BECAUSE SHE HAS STYLE?

    I sure as he** hope NOT!

      Her style will not be enough..she needs to prove she is informed and understands the issues. Hopefully by now she knows a little more about foreign policy than what she told Katie Couric.

That is obviously McCain! while this may have been off topic a bit, something that I have seen from many leftists on these bloggs, it represents less than .01 % of the the posts that I usually make.     IN MY OPINION: THE AMERICAN VOTERS ARE NOT STUPID. THEY KNOW THAT PALIN HAS CRAMMED A LOT OF FACTS AND TECHNIQUES TO DEBATE JOE BIDEN. THIS ONLY MEANS THAT SHE IS WAS NOT QUALIFIED BEFORE THIS DEBATE, AND WILL STILL NOT BE QUALIFIE AFTER THE DEBATE, NOT MATTER HOW WELL SHE DOES.

    SHE HAS BURNED THE BRIDGES AND CLOSED THE DOORS BEHIND HER BY SHOWING HER TRUE COLORS ABOUT HER INCOMETENCY DURING HER INTERVIEW WITH PROFESIONAL JOURNALIST. THIS DEBATE WILL NOT ERASE THAT FACT THAT SHE IS A FAKE AND A FRAUD.

    PEOPLE CAN MEMORIZE FACTS AND CONCEPTS AND NOT UNDERSTAND A DAM THING ABOUT THEM, BUT WHEN THEY TALK ABOUT THEM, THEY MAY LOOK GOOD IN THE EYES OF THE BEHOLDER.     If sarah Palin is qualified for the position of VP then she shouldn't be coddled like she has been. If she isn't then she shouldn't have been chosen and John McCain has not put his country first. Only his campaign and what he mistakenly thought having her on the ticket would accomplish.

            The Reps always come up with excuses when they're losing. It's always someone elses blame for their failures. If Palin does poorly at the debate, Joe Biden or Gwen Iffel or even Obama will somehow be at fault. I do think she will do fine, however.. the camp has made her memorize everything.

    If not for the seriousness of the times, and the age of McCain, I would not care about the VP debate. Both VP candidates are #2 on the ticket, not #1. Who cares who gets sent to overseas funerals, and meets and greets with dignitaries. (no Cheney here) But with McCain's health issues, there's a real possibility that we will get an uneducated political operative as president. Sarah Palin would never be any body's 1st choice for president.

    .......................Two years ago Palin was still Mayor of Wasilla and she was only theGovernor of the remote and sparcely populated State of Alaska until August 29, it is too bad for America that McCain moved her in as possible V.P. when she is so obviously underqualified....no matter what the Far Right Wing of the Republican Party are saying about it all. Why does Maverick McCain make such irresponsible decisions as elevating Palin when he says he is for Country First......Palin is Politics First and everyone sees that McCain is using Palin as his Public Relations Representative with her good looks???

    It just seems wrong that so much "pampering" is given to Palin in preparation for this debate. Seems so many view her as so fragile that she could just fall apart if Biden get's "rough" with her. For God's sake! She's running as a VP and would be barely a heartbeat from potus and has shown over and over she is greatly lacking in the intelligence that would be required to fill that post! Why should we feel sorry for her? If she can't stand the heat from whatever source, then she should go back to Alaska. Seems her greatest asset to some is the fact she's a mother and a self-declared "Joe six pack". That's just not enough! She might do fine in this debate, but could it be because she's been drilled and drilled for it? And if she requires that much education on the issues, that is very scary. She is simply not VP material and even less potus material!
    She seems to do fair when she has a teleprompter with someone elses words being fed to her, but when interviewed and expected to answer questions without back-up, she has failed miserably.
