    He does have LUCK! - Obama's Lucky Charm
    ???This is actually my favorite,??? is what Barack Obama said while revealing a handful of his current lucky charms to reporters. ???It is like a little piece of luck.??? My friend Kaycee designed it and you can see a close-up at
    http://metalmorphosisinc.com/search_results.aspx?Type=QuickSearch&Entry=luck#_top
    and btw, Kaycee told me "we did the Braille because we want people to feel the words, not just see them. Basically, talk the talk and walk the walk..."

    After 8 years of "concentrating the wealth" among the wealthiest Americans, and the situation we are now in, why would anyone prefer continuing doing the same things and expect different results? "Spreading the Wealth" is what gives people the money to buy things, which drives the economy and returns that wealth to those at the top. Simply KEEPING the wealth at the top causes the economy to stagnate. IT'S SIMPLE!

    Baby I'll be there to take your hand,
    Baby I'll be there to share the land
    That they'll be giving away, when we all live together.

    So, in the exchange with "Joe the plumber" we find out that Obama really is as radical as his early political acquaintances, and is into the failed economic policy of wealth redistribution. Yahoo, back to the 70's we go! So now we know that an Obama presidency really would be as if it were Carter's lost second term after all.

    Obama's view of the future of America - Socialism which is the next step to Communism!!

    Under socialism a ruling class of intellectuals, bureaucrats and social planners decide what people want or what is good for society and then use the coercive power of the State to regulate, tax, and redistribute the wealth of those who work for a living. In other words, socialism is a form of legalized theft.

    The morality of socialism can be summed-up in two words: envy and self-sacrifice. Envy is the desire to not only possess another's wealth but also the desire to see another's wealth lowered to the level of one's own. Socialism's teaching on self-sacrifice was nicely summarized by two of its greatest defenders, Hermann Goering and Bennito Mussolini. The highest principle of Nazism (National Socialism), said Goering, is: "Common good comes before private good." Fascism, said
    Mussolini, is "a life in which the individual, through the sacrifice of his own private interests??realizes that completely spiritual existence in which his value as a man lies."

    Socialism is the social system which institutionalizes envy and self-sacrifice: It is the social system which uses compulsion and the organized violence of the State to expropriate wealth from the producer class for its redistribution to the parasitical class.

    Despite the intellectuals' psychotic hatred of capitalism, it is the only moral and just social system.

    Capitalism is the only moral system because it requires human beings to deal with one another as traders--that is, as free moral agents trading and selling goods and services on the basis of mutual consent.

    Capitalism is the only just system because the sole criterion that determines the value of thing exchanged is the free, voluntary, universal judgement of the consumer. Coercion and fraud are anathema to the free-market system.

    It is both moral and just because the degree to which man rises or falls in society is determined by the degree to which he uses his mind. Capitalism is the only social system that rewards merit, ability and achievement, regardless of one's birth or station in life.

    Yes, there are winners and losers in capitalism. The winners are those who are honest, industrious, thoughtful, prudent, frugal, responsible, disciplined, and efficient. The losers are those who are shiftless, lazy, imprudent, extravagant, negligent, impractical, and inefficient. [What about the role of luckbeing in the right place at the right time or the wrong place at the wrong time? R. R. Pope}

    Capitalism is the only social system that rewards virtue and punishes vice. This applies to both the business executive and the carpenter, the lawyer and the factory worker.

    About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh , had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier:

    'A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government.'
    'A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.'
    'From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.'

    'The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years'

    'During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:

    1. from bondage to spiritual faith;
    2. from spiritual faith to great courage;
    3. from courage to liberty;
    4. from liberty to abundance;
    5. from abundance to complacency;
    6. from complacency to apathy;
    7. from apathy to dependence;
    8. from dependence back into bondage'

    Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000 Presidential election:

    Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29
    Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000
    Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million
    Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1

    Professor Olson adds: 'In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of this great country. Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare...' Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the 'complacency and apathy' phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the 'governmental dependency' phase.

    If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

    If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message. If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

    The Republican party is arranging the furniture on the titanic. I have been for Obama all along, but when I take the most objective perspective I am capable of, I see the republican party caving in on itself. I see an old, boring republican candidate that isn't well liked by the party's core constituancy. I see a country that has been driven to two wars and economic peril by the worst president in the history of our country(literally) who is a republican. I see republicans leaving their party in droves and I see republican politicians losing elected positions across the country. The gig is up, republicans. Thanks for the mess.

      mcleod, if you see all that, then you must be wearing some really strange glasses, because I have nor seen even one Republican leave the party, but I have witnessed many Democrats leaving that party, and coming over to the Republican side, because they have been observant, and have seen for themselves how Obama operates, and they have decided they do not want his brand of leadership. McCain is neither disliked nor too old, he us an experienced, respected gentleman who knows how to get this country on the right track. Obama is not exactly a spring chicken, plus he comes across as arrogrant, and full of himself. He speaks about being poor and having to struggle---big woo, that description fits most of us. If someone was fortunate enough to have been born into wealth, good for them, that does not make them spoiled, that makes them blessed; if someone worked hard to accumulate wealth and provide well for themselves and their family, as well as share their wealth with charities, then they and their families are blessed, and if some of us work hard, yet just manage to stay afloat, then we are blessed to be able to do that. Our constitution does not guarentee us the right to be wealthy, or happy, it only gave us the right to pursue those. mcleod, you are whistling in the dark if you think a smart Republican would be dumb enough to join a losing team. Go to some of the wedsites which speak about the REAL Obama.

        Wow. Denial surely isn't just a river in Egypt. Republicans are running away from their party because they now realize that they've been sold out by the neocons. At some point, real conservatives will rebuild their party reinforcing their original principles and rejecting the insurgent neocons. When that happens, I'll be looking forward to a revitalized and formidable Republican opposition.

        • Posted By: star3 @ 10/12/2008 5:36:55 PM

          Johnson, name one Republican who has left the party to become Democrat. Just one. I can name several Democrats who have left that party, but of course you don't want to hear that. Speaking of denial, look at that character who is staring back at your from any mirror.

    The disasterous Bush administration not only left the childeren behind, they pushed the middle class closer toward the poverty line. Now we have a rich or poor country where a few can afford seven houses and most can not afford one. Everyone feasted on credit ; and knew the credit monster was out of control. Private industry, with the approval of the Bush administration, cut jobs here and sent them overseas. The last part standing of the middle class are the millions of federal, state, county and local government employees. Will they be able to finance their own raises, cost of living adjustments and pensions with tax revenues taken from a bankrupt private sector? With growing deficits at every level of government and limited ability to keep borrowing from a broken financial system ; the future is clear. Americans and America are sinking into long term poverty. Neither McCain or Obama can reverse the decline.

    Who played the financial markets to crash down for Obama's favor? THE TIMING WAS VERY CRITICAL. Right when Mccain was in the lead. How many "international " investors were involved? who is bent to make Barack Husein Obama the POTUS? fIRST THEY PLAYED THE energy crisis. WE beat them. Then they withdrew their holdings and support for our fianancial system. "AMERICA had it coming". WE entertained all these back stabbers who were more than ready to pull the money away from wall street market. All so legally. Govt had to step in to stop the short sale of uSA. YOu liberals who play with antiamerican terrorist coutries, we will let you know you also hold the other end of this stick.

    Did anyone notice during the last debate that the empty suite called Bobama does not know the difference between a computer and the Internet.
    He mentioned computers and than hesitated for a minute, he was lost, than he mentioned computers and the military. In reality he was referring without knowing it, to the ARPAnet which was the precursor of the Internet. In his eyes computers and the Internet are the same (which they are not).
    It is strange that someone in his age group does not KNOW the difference between the two.
    It is not surprizing to me. He is a product of the left and the Harvard school of Law, which produces people who can recite case law, but are ignorant about anything else.!!!!!
    Do you want such an ignorant Marxist to be your president?????

    Obama was a disaster in every place he served as a community organizer, look at his neighborhoods in Chicago, according to his own writings: The Crime rate went up, the murder rate went up, drug use went up, the out of wedlock birthrate went up, gang fighting and murders went up, the abortion rate went up, prostitution went up, educational achievements went down, welfare rate went up, this is what he wants to deliver to the rest of the USA.
    What a ???success??? story, he and his fellow Chicago gangsters want to bring the same achievements to the rest of the USA.

    Obama will leave much more of a mess, by his own creation than that of Bush's. Pres. Bush didn't cause most of the problems that are happening, but Obama will cause so many more and drive this country further down. The reason you ask, well he will be taking advice from people like Barney Frank, who helped cause this housing market problem.

    Pres. Bush might not be doing a 100% job, but crap happens, and he has done better than Gore or Kerry ever could come close to doing. Everyone knows this fact and that is why you never hear "Well if Gore or Kerry would have won we would be....." Everyone from the far Left and Right needs to just realize they are causing problems for a unified Country and unless we are able to come together like after Sept. 11, 2001 we won't be a true nation until some thing like that happens again.

    Push for 12 year cap on all Congressman/women.

    The fact that Fox News Network is taking the position of launching a series of all out assaults against senator Obama???s character is a sad day in journalism. They should be ashamed of the immoral and unethical standards that their network displays on a continual basis. What they must be made to understand is that as citizens we rely upon networks for their fair and accurate reporting of events and we will not tolerate anything less, especially when its over the top or maybe I should say as far right as Fox News Network is. It is time to take a stand against Fox and look to other networks for fair and accurate news coverage.

      uoor, apparently you were left behink since you don't know how to spell "know" in the context which you used it. Bush isn't the problem, he had help from childish liberals who could not accept defeat graciously. They set the stage to make it appear that everything he did would look like a failure, and the media, which is notoriously biased did their part by reporting things in a negative light. There are always more than one way of looking at things.

    The Iraq war, like most everything that the Bush-Cheney admin has done, was not in the best interests of the American people and rationalizing that having taken out Sadaam was justification is not only irresponsible but is setting precedence for scary consequences. Everything, including the Iraq War, done by the Bush-Cheney admin was clearly motivated strictly by benefit for Special Interests and a select few (and some ego satisfaction) and the American public was continually and arrogantly given only apathy, the costs and an abundance of lies to justify. That is why we are where we are today!

    • Posted By: star3 @ 10/06/2008 5:33:22 PM

      NewsWKDick, no war is good for anyone, especially for the ones who lose, but it does take care of things which need to be taken care of, and when we have tried everything else, and are left no other option, then we do what we have to do. The people in Iraq are happy that Saddam is gone, we are happy that he is gone, so just like most things, alls well that ends well, so we are justified in this war, just as we were in Viet Nam, and in World War Two. Every military person in Iraq joined the military of their own free will, since there is no draft, and so are there because they know its right. You bleeding heart liberals are the problem, and its about time you stopped whinning and become part of the solution, either get your heart into America or get your ass out of it!

        You learned how to construct tortured run on sentences from Palin, correct? However, compared to you, Palin is Einstein.

  • Posted By: Nins @ 10/06/2008 1:13:16 PM

    The GOP is grasping at straws. They have nothing substantive against Obama, but boy are they good at making up lies. This has been a leading Karl Rove tactic for years, and if America falls for this again we should be ashamed of ourselves. Not to mention the obvious fact that this is all a smokescreen to keep the focus off of the fact that Palin and her Alaska associates are in contempt of court for refusing to testify in the Troopergate hearings. After Nixon and Clinton, Americans are to some extent jaded, but really, would you want a VP who refuses to attend hearings in her own defense, and instructs her employees not to testify? That smells like guilt. It surely doesn't give the impression that she has done no wrong and has nothing to hide.

    This year, the GOP offers you an angry old man and a woman who, while personable, is desperately uniformed about national and international issues. Both of them are far right politically. McCain used to be a maverick, but since 2004 he's voted 90% with Bush. McCain's policies are not original or reformist, despite how he's tried to co-opt Obama's popular message of change. Please go to the websites of both of the candidates and read their platforms. Obama's Blueprint for Change has more good ideas than McCain's plan. Compare them yourself. Obama's basic premise is that tax dollars should be spent to make America stronger and to improve the lives and well being of our people. For example, he uses education programs to train a new technology workforce, contributing to energy independence, creating jobs and improving the economy. When you read McCain's plan you will find no over-arching design to get America back on track. Instead you'll find more tax cuts for the wealthy, de-regulation of the health care industry, and a stated intent to overturn Roe v. Wade.

    I'm a Republican. Although I embrace some forward-thinking social values, in the past I've rarely voted Democrat. My thinking was that since Republicans grow robust economies, by voting Republican I'd be endorsing a plan that would grow wealth for our nation, and then we'd be able to afford social programs. It was a good strategy for a couple decades, but I have to say that the tenure of W. Bush has changed my mind. Not only is there nothing fiscally responsible about today's GOP, the insidious alignment of the party with religious intolerance has really turned me off.

    On the other hand, the intelligent luminous thought of Barack Obama has ignited my passion for politics and my patriotism. I want a President who puts America first and can get the economy back on track. In my mind, values voting takes a back burner when we are faced with a meltdown of the economy. It is time for a change, a real change. The Republicans have controlled the Presidency for 28 of the past 40 years, but they have fallen down on the job. The Democrats have a stellar candidate this year, and I am voting for Obama.

      Nins, don't know if you watched the news program on Fox last night, which went into detail concerning Obama's affilliation with the Rev. Wright, and several anti American groups who were very active in attempting to destroy America, and as for the Rev. Wright, he behaves like a lunatic. He hate America, and I think Obama and his wife do, also, but are trying despertly to keep that side of themselves hidden until the election is over, hoping to win, so that they can put their plan into action to bring about the demise of our country as we have always known it. Are they so naive, that they actually believe the American people would sit still for their trying to turn us into a socialist nation, even if they do manage to get themselves elected? Try that, and there would be a revolution here that would make the first one look like a picnic in the park. Obama would find himself, not only impeached, but impaled! I know the red neck Americans would not stand for that, and if that were tried, every American would become red neck! For myself, if, after watching that program last night, if anyone who saw it were still dumb enough to vote for Obama, they will deserve what they get, and I will never again have any faith in the American
      voter. I would not be surprised to hear that many Americans moved out of the country if he gets into office, and if enough people feel that way, he won't have many left to be president over. He, along with his Rev. Wright are the most racist people on the planet. And then they wonder why we avoid them and others like them; its not the color of their skin that causes the whites to keep their distance, its their radical, racist, loud mouthed, I deserve attitude. There are many people of every color who are nice people, then there are the other kind, which come in all colors as well. They do NOT "deserve" anything, except air to breathe, which, so far, is free; We come into this world with whatever God gave us, and that includes our color, and since he likes variety, then he made many different trees, flowers, plants, animals, and PEOPLE! We were NOT guarenteed wealth or happiness or fairness in this life, for wealth, we WORK ( a dirty four letter word to some), for happiness, we find it within ourselves, for fairness, we accept that life isn't always, so we just live ours and allow others to do the same. Many blacks are much wealther than many whites, so if they want to point to fairness to "themselves", because my great great great grandparent's uncle's best friend's mother's aunt "may" have been a slave; then what about the white's ancestors who were so poor they couldn't afford slaves, shouldn't they be compensated as well? Do you begin to see how ridiculeous this can get? Its a lot of B.S. hype, and serves only to make most of us want to kick the butts of those who are trying to us it as a club; I mean, who gives a rats fat a$$?!

      If any student is for Obama, they are morons and can't think for themselves, just like you. They need lessons in American history, political history, economics, and character judgemnet! By the way, what is your damn excuse for being so ignorant. Are you too lazy to do your own research on Obama or do you just have your head too far up his rectum.

        Jim; You sound a little tense today. Read the Poll Numbers , have a Hot Toddy and your Maalox and take a break.

            Brilliant comeback. With idiots like you trying convince folks, it's like shooting fish in a barrel. It's not fair really. Perhaps your side should start embracing intellectualism and then maybe you'll get some decent intellects to the rhetorical work.
