Comment: RoboHate.
The McCain/Palin campaign is now combining our analog (or digital, cell) telephones with computers, and has produced RoboHate calls against his opponent, to enliven hatred wherever possible.
Hate is not good for the country. And McCain/Palin uses hatred too often. However, McCain/Palin stumbles grossly on unity.
This country needs unity in difficult times. Yes We Can. Obama/Biden is right for this country right now.

So, in the exchange with "Joe the plumber" we find out that Obama really is as radical as his early political acquaintances, and is into the failed economic policy of wealth redistribution. Yahoo, back to the 70's we go! So now we know that an Obama presidency really would be as if it were Carter's lost second term after all.
Comment: Obama's view of the future of America - Socialism which is the next step to Communism!!
Under socialism a ruling class of intellectuals, bureaucrats and social planners decide what people want or what is good for society and then use the coercive power of the State to regulate, tax, and redistribute the wealth of those who work for a living. In other words, socialism is a form of legalized theft.
The morality of socialism can be summed-up in two words: envy and self-sacrifice. Envy is the desire to not only possess another's wealth but also the desire to see another's wealth lowered to the level of one's own. Socialism's teaching on self-sacrifice was nicely summarized by two of its greatest defenders, Hermann Goering and Bennito Mussolini. The highest principle of Nazism (National Socialism), said Goering, is: "Common good comes before private good." Fascism, said
Mussolini, is "a life in which the individual, through the sacrifice of his own private interests??realizes that completely spiritual existence in which his value as a man lies."
Socialism is the social system which institutionalizes envy and self-sacrifice: It is the social system which uses compulsion and the organized violence of the State to expropriate wealth from the producer class for its redistribution to the parasitical class.
Despite the intellectuals' psychotic hatred of capitalism, it is the only moral and just social system.
Capitalism is the only moral system because it requires human beings to deal with one another as traders--that is, as free moral agents trading and selling goods and services on the basis of mutual consent.
Capitalism is the only just system because the sole criterion that determines the value of thing exchanged is the free, voluntary, universal judgement of the consumer. Coercion and fraud are anathema to the free-market system.
It is both moral and just because the degree to which man rises or falls in society is determined by the degree to which he uses his mind. Capitalism is the only social system that rewards merit, ability and achievement, regardless of one's birth or station in life.
Yes, there are winners and losers in capitalism. The winners are those who are honest, industrious, thoughtful, prudent, frugal, responsible, disciplined, and efficient. The losers are those who are shiftless, lazy, imprudent, extravagant, negligent, impractical, and inefficient. [What about the role of luckbeing in the right place at the right time or the wrong place at the wrong time? R. R. Pope}
Capitalism is the only social system that rewards virtue and punishes vice. This applies to both the business executive and the carpenter, the lawyer and the factory worker.

Comment: Why Bill Ayers is important to this campaign?
John McCain should make the argument personal and something that the American people can identify and understand. John McCain views Bill Ayers as a founder of the Weathermen and Weather Underground and also founder of the Students for Democratic Society SDS on the campus of the University of Michigan. The University of Michigan had held the first sit-in against the war. John McCain and the other 600 Vietnam POWs believe Bill Ayers was responsible for prolonging the war and causing them to receive extra beatings by the North Vietnamese for refusing to show their exuberance for the antiwar effort in the United States. The North Vietnamese fought even harder and refused to negotiate or return our POWs given the organized antiwar protests in the United States. All the North Vietnamese had to do was wait and domestic antiwar protests orchestrated by Bill Ayers would cause the United States to surrender.
John McCain spent five and half years as a POW and personally received extra beatings because of Bill Ayers. Barack Obama views Bill Ayers as a reformed domestic terrorist who did despicable things in the past but should be given a second chance today. For Barack Obama there was never a need to keep a distance from Bill Ayers. Maybe if Barack Obama could have walked in John McCain???s shoes for just one day and suffered just one of the extra beatings that John McCain endured for five and a half years because of Bill Ayers and his Weathermen antiwar movement then maybe Barack Obama might appreciate a need to keep a distance from Bill Ayers. Along with the SDS Students for Democratic Society, Weathermen Underground, the Black Panther Party also actively opposed the Vietnam War. Barack Obama received the support of Southside Chicago Congressman and former Black Panther party member Bobby L. Rush during his bid for the Illinois US Senate seat.
The Black Panther Party along with the Weathermen Underground prolonged John McCains captivity and caused him to receive extra beatings. It is ironic, that Bill Ayers led the antiwar protests during the Vietnam era that caused John McCain to receive extra beatings and to experience nearly six years of captivity, and today Barack Obama has been leading antiwar calls against the Iraq war. Barack Obama can not understand why John McCain is not happy that Barack Obama has not kept a distance from Bill Ayers. If Barack Obama had walked in John McCain???s or any of the other 600 American POWs shoes one day, he would have no problem understanding why he should have kept his distance from Bill Ayers. The word shunning comes to mind. If Barack Obama would have shunned Bill Ayers and members of the Black Panthers Party there would be no issue in tonights debate.
Comment: About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh , had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier:
'A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government.'
'A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.'
'From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.'
'The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years'
'During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:
1. from bondage to spiritual faith;
2. from spiritual faith to great courage;
3. from courage to liberty;
4. from liberty to abundance;
5. from abundance to complacency;
6. from complacency to apathy;
7. from apathy to dependence;
8. from dependence back into bondage'
Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000 Presidential election:
Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29
Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1
Professor Olson adds: 'In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of this great country. Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare...' Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the 'complacency and apathy' phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the 'governmental dependency' phase.
If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.
If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message. If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

ONLY BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE

It turns off Independent voters and so basically serves the Dem's interests. I'm sure you are venting, but it's NOT helping us.

Is there a cause and effect between any seeming growing momentum behind an Obama election and the continuing recent real stock market crash? Wall Street is about future expectations and the expectations are that Barack Obama will not help our economy if he is elected. Wall Street and the world knows that an Obama election will not be good for business. A vote for John McCain will be a vote for our economic recovery. Obama's Campaign Paid Over $800,000 To ACORN For Get-Out-The-Vote Efforts, But "Mistakenly Misrepresented" Their Work To The FEC:
Obama's Campaign "Paid More Than $800,000" To ACORN For Get-Out-The Vote Efforts; The Campaign Originally "Misrepresented" The Group's Work To The FEC. "U.S. Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign paid more than $800,000 to an offshoot of the liberal Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now for services the Democrat's campaign says it mistakenly misrepresented in federal reports. An Obama spokesman said Federal Election Commission reports would be amended to show Citizens Services Inc. -- a subsidiary of ACORN -- worked in 'get-out-the-vote' projects, instead of activities such as polling, advance work and staging major events as stated in FEC finance reports filed during the primary." (David M. Brown, "Obama To Amend Report On $800,000 In Spending," Pittsburgh Tribune Review, 8/22/08)
The link below describes how some in Congress tried to use the original version of the bailout bill to divert money eventually recovered to groups like ACORN, a group Obama has a long association with. See:

Comment: Is Barack Obama a chain smoker or not? If he is only a closet smoker and not transparent by smoking in public and admitting that he has a nicotine addiction then how can we trust him on other issues that are truly grave?
Does he smoke a lot of cigarettes only when he plays poker with his friends or is it a daily habit? How can we trust him on health care if he is a smoker. Would not someone who really wants to hold down healthcare costs want to quit smoking.
We want to know if Barack Obama is going to promise to not chain smoke around Joe Biden because Joe Biden had asthma as a teenager. The reason that Joe Biden could not fight for his country in 1968 during the peak of the Vietnam War was that he had teenage asthma.
Joe Biden had horribly bad luck, ninety percent of all children are diagnosed with asthma before age six but Joe Biden was unlucky enough to be in the ten percent group of children who acquire asthma after age six and became asthmatic when he was a teenager. After five student deferments while he attended college and law school, his teenage asthma finally came to the attention of his local Selective Service Board and he missed the opportunity to serve his country during time of war as an officer. But for his bad luck with his teenage asthma diagnosis, Joe Biden could have gone in and served his country honorably as a officer and a gentleman and perhaps as a Judge Advocate Law Officer similar to his son.
We hope that Barack Obama will not smoke in front of Joe Biden because the smoke could aggravate Joe???s asthma that prevented him from serving his country during time of war.
Comment: That brings up a good question. Did Cheney and Rove have childhood asthma? Dubya didn't need childhood asthma, because he had an influential father who got him into the Texas Air Guard.

Comment: Vote John McCain!!!! Vote John McCain!!!!
I want the President to be someone who can think for himself and not rely exclusively like a blind person on a particular advisor. I want someone who understands numbers and can make analytical decisions himself. Years of computing payloads, fuel requirements, weather and distances as a pilot are the experiences that
John McCain brings to the table when listening to economic proposals. His eyes will not glaze over when there are ten page budget spreadsheet proposals presented to him. Barack Obama and Joe Biden have no mathematical or quantitative education or experience between them. They do not teach accounting in law school.
That is why they offer basic basic accounting to attorneys as continuing education classes after they are licensed. I also am willing to bet that neither Barack Obama or Joe Biden never took a basic accounting continuing legal education class to improve their lack of skills.
Both Obama and Biden were political science majors as undergraduate which means they have no quantitative training or mathematical background. The average nurse who gives vaccinations or antibiotics shots have better computational and mathematical training than either Joe Biden or Barack Obama. A nurse knows not to give you a tenfold quantity of any particular drug and has a good foundation in mathematics. Similarly all pilots are trained in vectors and physics.
John McCain is the one who can come up with solutions to our economic problems.
Barack Obama and Joe Biden are mathematically challenged. Send them back to school.
Vote John McCain!!!!
Comment: Vote for John McCain!!!!!!!!
John McCain is the one who can come up with solutions to our economic problems. Barack Obama and Joe Biden are mathematically challenged. Send them back to school and this time have them study something that is useful.
Joe Biden with his history and political science double major in college and Barack Obama???s major in political science give them absoloutely no economic, scientific, quantitative or analytical background to handle the pressing economic and military problems facing our country.
These two mathematically challenged Democrats are supposed to be able to crunch numbers and understand how to cope with our economic and budget crisis. Two people who probably can???t add four numbers together are suppose help solve our economic crisis.
Do you know that they offer basic accounting continuing education classes to lawyers because most lawyers do not understand simple accounting. We have had enough mathematically challenged lawyers screw up our country. You at least know that John McCain has the computational and analytic skills to compute fuel loads, cargo weights, wind speeds, and trip distances to keep from running out of gas on missions.
How would you like it, if Joe Biden or Barack Obama would take the controls and fly your Boeing 777 on your next commercial flight here in the US. Most independent and undecided voters would not rest easy knowing that Biden or Obama can rely on what they learned in their civil procedure class to help you land safely and not run out of jet fuel during the trip. Pilots have proven analytical skills.
There is a saying that there are old and bold pilots but no old bold pilots. John McCain has that good judgment and he has the proven analytical skills to be able to tackle our budget problems. Barack Obama and Joe Biden can spend the next four years and take some accounting and economics continuing legal education classes.
After four years of academic coursework, then they might be able to throw their hat in the ring.
Given their academic training, a trillion dollars may look the same as a million dollars on a budget spreadsheet.
Vote for John McCain!! He is the one who can come up with solutions to our economic problems.
Vote John McCain!!!! Vote John McCain!!!!
Comment: It is clear during the debates that both Barack Obama and Joe Biden want to fight the war on terror only in a politically correct manner. Barack Obama worries how the world may view us. John McCain understands that winning the war on terror is not a sure bet and minimizing the loss of American military lives and casualties is more important than fighting in a politically correct manner.
John McCain???s military service gives him better insights on this issue than either Barack Obama or Joe Biden. Joe Biden brings his personal perspective about being knocked down and getting back up to the country. However, the country can not take being knocked down and expected to get back up as easily as Joe has done in the past.
Joe Biden has stated in his campaign repeatedly it does not matter how many times you are knocked down what counts is the number of times that you get back up. I am sure his experiences as a teenanger with asthma contributed to his belief that you have to get back up when knocked down.
While ninety percent of asthma cases are diagnosed before most children turn six years old, Joe Biden beat the odds and fell into that unfortunately ten percent group of children who come down with asthma after age six.
Joe Biden also had to get back up and move on with his life in 1968, when the Selective Service System found that he was ineligible to serve during the peak of the Vietnam War due to his having asthma as a teenager.
Joe Biden previously had received five college student draft deferments over a six year period from 1963 to 1968 when finally his asthma condition became known to the Selective Service System and he was deemed ineligible to fight for his country in 1968. During that period Joe Biden completed his undergraduate degree and three years of law school at Syracuse University.
Without his diagnosis of asthma and five previous student deferments, Joe Biden could have gone in and served his country honorably as a officer and a gentleman and perhaps as a Judge Advocate Law Officer similar to his son.
It was unfortunate that his asthma condition that is only diagnosed in ten percent of children after age six caused Joe Biden to not be able to serve his country during a time of war. Although Joe Biden has moved on from his teenage asthma, John McCain still presents the United States with a clear superior choice of a commander in chief to lead our country.
Vote John McCain!!!!!!!!! Vote John McCain !!!!!!!!!!!!
Comment: "Not all Democrats agree with Mr. Frank that such policies are off-limits to criticism. Last week Rep. Artur Davis of Alabama said in a statement: 'Like a lot of my Democratic colleagues I was too slow to appreciate the recklessness of Fannie and Freddie. I defended their efforts to encourage affordable homeownership, when in retrospect, I should have heeded the concerns raised by their regulator in 2004. Frankly, I wish my Democratic colleagues would admit when it comes to Fannie and Freddie, we were wrong.'

'Rank snobbery'
Camille Paglia, who supports Sen. Barack Obama, has nothing but scorn for the way the media has treated Sarah Palin.
"The mountain of rubbish poured out about Palin over the past month would rival Everest. What a disgrace for our jabbering army of liberal journalists and commentators, too many of whom behaved like snippy jackasses," Miss Paglia writes at www.salon.com.
"The bourgeois conventionalism and rank snobbery of these alleged humanitarians stank up the place. As for Palin's brutally edited interviews with Charlie Gibson and that viper, Katie Couric, don't we all know that the best bits ended up on the cutting-room floor? Something has gone seriously wrong with Democratic ideology, which seems to have become a candied set of holier-than-thou bromides attached like tutti-frutti to a quivering green Jell-O mold of adolescent sentimentality."

"Obama Our Savior - The one we have all been waiting for since Jesus Christ. Dedicated to elect the second coming of Jesus Christ as our next President."
"Divine Inspiration"
Like many of his followers, Barack Obama have instilled divine inspiration upon me to do everything to get him elected as our President. I don't know how to truly explain my feelings, but I will try anyway. The feeling is like some sort of epiphany elicited by God himself. Obama, you can say, made me see the light. Everything he says just fills me with awe. I am convinced that he is, in fact, the second coming of our Messiah; the return of Jesus Christ to guide us all into heaven. But unfortunately, many evil forces are making his duty harder, and it is upon us to help him fulfill his divine duty by spreading his message of Change and Hope and smiting his enemies."

I still can't believe how stupid McCain was in picking a female running mate. I know he's senile and retarded old man, but come on! Hasn't he learned anything from the 1984 election? Women will vote against a female candidate because they know their own kind cannot be trusted. Even Osama Bin Laden would make a far better and trustworthy President than a goddamn women. Comment: The debate last night was hilarious with Barack Obama criticizing John McCain???s plan for allowing insurers in different states to provide health care plans in other states. None of the national news commentators seem to pick up on the comment.
Senator John McCain said that his medical plan allowing plans from other states would lead to choice, competition, and lower costs for consumers and companies. Barack Obama said that would lead to inadequate protections and it would be similar to the incorporation laws of Delaware where most United States corporations are incorporated. Corporations from many states incorporate in Delaware. Barack Obama was insulting the laws and voters of Delaware and his running Joe Biden who has been a Senator from Delaware for the past thirty years. Apparently Barack Obama feels that the incorporation statutes of Delaware are inadequate and offer little protection to investors or creditors of those corporations around the country. If that was the case, why hasn???t Senator Joe Biden from Delaware or Barack Obama jumped in there and get the Delaware state legislature to change the corporation laws of Delaware. Senator Joe Biden???s failure to do so for the past thirty years must reflect on him according to Barack Obama???s analysis.
It is amazing that Barack Obama would use an example criticizing the laws of a state of his running mate Joe Biden. Just imagine what Barack Obama would have said about Delaware incorporation laws if Joe Biden was not on the ticket. Independent and undecided voters of Delaware and around the country, vote John McCain!!!!!!!
Comment: Barack Obama and the politics of envy. Over and over Barack during the Town Hall Meeting debate spouted his politics of envy. He pointed out that Iraq has a 78 billion dollar surplus at the same time that the United States is suffering financial problems. His conclusion or inference that Barack left hanging was that we should steal their money and take the 78 billion dollars or perhaps we should have never wage the war to begin because they are a bunch of ungrateful people who would hoard this money.
Would Barack Obama be more pleased if Iraq emulated their main supporter the United States and ran up huge deficits and became nearly bankrupt. Would he think that is more representative of a struggling democracy. The fact that Iraq is financially solvent with our help is a testament of the hard work and sacrifice of our troops. Please do not comment and try to draw a negative inference from this success. Please Barack keep your politics of envy confined to local Illinois politics where it works.
Barack Obama???s tax plans similarly focus on the politics of envy. He is so focused and determined that the oil companies do not make one penny too much in profit that Barack Obama dces not care if all of the Southeast periodically experiences gas shortages with closed gas stations and empty gas pumps. The oil companies did not make any profits when there was no gas to sell so Barack Obama must have been jumping with joy. Refinery capacity in the United States has been stretched to its limits for decades. The oil companies would have to be crazy to invest another penny in new refineries or production capacity or even do basic repairs in the United States in light of Barck Obama???s policies to tax what he deems are excess profits and his proposed mandates on alternative energy. Barack Obama???s proposals to raise taxes only on the top five percent of Americans are ridiculous and only pander to the politics of envy. Our economy has been propped up for years by people from around the world investing in the United States. Foreign investors in United States companies also are subject to United States taxes. All of these investors are in the top five percent making more than two hundred and fifty thousand a year and they will be subject to higher taxes. Do you think that foreign investors will continue to make direct investments in the United States when they can go anywhere in the world? Barack Obama will do for the United States what North Korean President Kim has done for North Korea and that is drive all foreign investors out of the country. That is a great idea to help our economy and drive all foreign investors out. Americans can also chose where they invest and they do not have to invest in the United States if taxes become exorbitant.
Comment: Say what you will, at an Obama rally you will not hear John McCain the person being demonized. Sure, his stands on the issues will be booed, but he will not be subjected to the outrageous and divisive smears like those that McCain and Palin are spewing about Obama and you will never hear his patriotism being questioned. When McCain's name is mentioned in an Obama rally, you will NOT hear a mob crying 'terrorist', and worse, 'kill him!' as has been heard at McCain and Palin rallies.
'For each tree is known by its own fruit.' I respect those honest republicans who simply have a respectful difference of opinion with Obama. Many of them are my neighbors and we get along just fine. But those decent Americans aside, and in contrast to the hope filled positive Obama campaign, we now have a negative hate-mongering 'No Obama.' campaign on the right which draws in religious bigots like Unholyroller and crew, racists (you know who you are), and rabid McCarthyists left over from the 50's. On Nov.5 we will all still be Americans and will have a new president-elect based on the American institution of majority vote. We can have honest differences of opinion without causing a permanent rift between neighbors if we don't give in to hate.

As does Biden's Bosnia. He claimed his helicopter was forced down into Taliban & al qaeda territory putting him at peril. Problem being it was a snowstorm and they were never at risk. Kerry even joked about sending Joe out to fight them with snowballs. But how much play did that get? Yet another example of proobama media bias. An the plagiarism issue? All eyes on Obama means that the skeptics will be picking apart obama's policies and his tax plan! All this focus will let the voters see that under an Obama administration. They will be subject to higher taxes albeit his plan says otherwise but with 3 weeks left the skeptics get to look at it real good and also look at independent reports that debunk the Obama tax plan! Mccain may have played this one just right with one debate left he should be able to pull ahead in the polls before November 4 leaving Obama no time to adjust! FYI; ON OCT 9TH 2004 AL GORE HAD A 12 PT LEAD IN ALL POLLS OVER G.W. BUSH! BUT LOST TO HIM.... ADD THE FACTS THAT ACORN OFFICE GOT RAIDED WE JUST MIGHT HAVE A GAME CHANGER AFTER ALL!

Knowledge (foreign? economic, or other?) is one thing. . . But how you USE that knowledge is quite another thing. . . . And Biden is going to be the one to advise Obama if he becomes POTUS? Very scary!

From The Washington Post, Sept. 2008, by Peter Wehner
(Part 1 of 2)
Decade after decade and on important issue after important issue, Mr. BIDENS JUDGMENT has been deeply FLAWED.
* In the 1970s, Mr. Biden OPPOSED GIVING AID TO THE SOUTH VIETNAMESE GOVERNMENT in its war against the North. CONGRESS'S CUT-OFF OF FUNDS CONTRIBUTED to the FALL of an AMERICAN ALLY, helped COMMUNISM advance, and LED TO MASS DEATH throughout the region.
* Mr. Biden also ADVOCATED DEFENSE CUTS SO MASSIVE that both Edmund Muskie and Walter Mondale, both leading liberal Democrats at the time, opposed them.
* In the early 1980s, the U.S. was engaged in a debate over funding the Contras, a group of Nicaraguan freedom fighters attempting to overthrow the Communist regime of Daniel Ortega. Mr. Biden was a LEADING OPPONENT of President Ronald Reagans efforts to fund the Contras. He also OPPOSED Reagans efforts to send MILITARY ASSISTANCE to the pro-American government in EL SALVADOR, which at the time was battling the FMLN, a Soviet-supported MARXIST GROUP.
* Throughout his career, Mr. Biden has consistently OPPOSED MODERNIZATION of our strategic NUCLEAR FORCES.
* He was a fierce opponent of Reagans Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI). Mr. Biden voted against funding SDI, saying The Presidents continued adherence to [SDI] constitutes one of the most reckless and irresponsible acts in the history of modern statecraft.

(Continued from my post above: Biden Was Wrong On the Cold War )
(Part 2 of 2)
* Mr. Biden has remained a CONSISTENT CRITIC OF MISSILE DEFENSE and even opposed the U.S. dropping out of the Antiballistic Missile Treaty after the collapse of the Soviet Union (which was the co-signatory to the ABM Treaty) and the end of the Cold War.
* In 1990, Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait and, we later learned, was much closer to attaining a nuclear weapon than we had believed. President George H.W. Bush sought war authorization from Congress. Mr. BIDEN VOTED AGAINST THE FIRST GULF WAR, asking: What vital interests of the United States justify sending Americans to their deaths in the sands of Saudi Arabia?
* In 2006, after having voted three years earlier to AUTHORIZE President George W. Bushs WAR TO LIBERATE IRAQ, Mr. Biden ARGUED FOR THE PARTITION OF IRAQ, which WOULD HAVE LED TO ITS CRACK-UP.
* Then in 2007, Mr. Biden OPPOSED President Bushs TROOP SURGE in Iraq, calling it a TRAGIC MISTAKE. It TURNED OUT to be QUITE THE OPPOSITE. Without the surge, the Iraq war would have been lost, giving jihadists their most important victory ever.
SUMMARY: On many of the most important and controversial issues of the last four decades, Mr. BIDEN has built a record based on BAD ASSUMPTIONS, MISGUIDED ANALYSES and FLAWED JUDGMENTS. If he had HIS WAY, America would be significantly WEAKER, ALLIES UNDER SIEGE would routinely be CUT LOOSE, and the ENEMIES of the U.S. would be STRONGER.
Comment: Hey SHARENEWS.
Why don't you post your excellent comments somewhere where your words are accessible for more than a month? Or do you already? Here they just disappear. Since you always back them up with facts and links - they should be given more weight and discussion than just the predictable attacks on your intelligence, motive and character you get here.

At least take the poll. You can vote for Alter, Fineman, Olbermann, Matthews, Axelrod, Roland Martin, Nancy Pelosi, Donna Brazile, Peggy Noonan, Maureen Dowd, Chuck Todd, Shuster, Howard Dean and all your other favorite obamerites, as well as John McCain, Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton. Your opinion matters - I've been reading it for months. Share it with people who are interested in hearing it.
Comment: Joe Biden is a good (and great) man. There should be no argument about that. I admire him as a person and also admire and empathize with him for how he faced and worked through personal tragedy. He will be a great vice-president.
Comment: Biden will be the nations best vice president (aside from Gore).
Biden is a good man with a very empathetic heart.

Comment: Check out electioneering in indiana. Sorry I don't have the link - but youtube has the video i think of a woman inside the polling place saying This is Obama's house. Look at the irregular returns/absentee ballots in Lake County, Indiana...within the range of the Daley Machine. which ALTER knows all about but says nothing.

Comment: Not hard to do when you live in Delaware.
Comment: That was fact-checked already dummy. It was already discredited idiot. Why do you always lie - truth?
Why be an complete moron like will-not-vote-or-think? It's tough being a Mackie-lover in today's climate - given he's been found out to be a lie, cheat, steal - and parades around with dummy VP's.
Comment: if it turns out to be against the left then newsweak will remove it and if you use a search engine it will come up as a different artical so they have buried it !

Prosecutors move to delay Rezko sentencing, a hint he may be ready to spill political secrets
By MIKE ROBINSON Associated Press Writer | AP
Oct 7, 2008
"Speculation has simmered for weeks that the key fundraiser for Gov. Rod Blagojevich and Sen. Barack Obama was whispering what he knows about corruption in Illinois government to federal prosecutors in hopes of getting a lighter sentence."
http://www.newsweek.com/id/162696
Comment: Rezko's officially cooperating with the feds. Curious how it comes amidst attacks on barry about Rezko and Ayers. Rezko;s initially sentencing date was 9-3 - then it got pushed back to a week before the election and now there is no date and the earliest would be December. Rezko will protect Obama - no two ways about that - of not he would have already squealed. But he is talking to the feds about Governor Rod Blagojevich, who if squeezed might just give up Obama. Blagojevich and his wife are being investigated about their house renovation, her wife's real estate dealings and "irregular" campaign donations. Sound familiar?
Comment: it would be funny to see obama face a federal grand jury indictment on november 1st this way he won't have to be impeached! resko is singing like a canary !!
Comment: the feds want rezko to talk about the governor. wonder if they have bunkbeds or a suite up in Wisconsin so the previous governor, present governor, rezko and a politician to be named later could hang out together and discuss old times.
Comment: Duh, he singing, duh-huh. He ain't got no birth certificate tee-hee-yuk. Duh, Ayers is duh...somethin' - dey siad so - duh. Where's ma' damn flagpin and boots - duh-ya?
Comment: BECAUSE OF THIS VIDEO PEOPLE SHOULD BE INSPIRED TO VOTE FOR McCAIN! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSvBCBnulLs IS THE FUTURE OF OUR MILITARY MARCH ??
Comment: Duh. Vote for the traitor, liar and Keating crook with the swell judgement to pick Sarah "Bundy" Palin and her monster family. What happened to our soldiers when Mc gave up their position? But, he's sorry.
Comment: you might want to reconsider discussing shady real estate deals.
Comment: I have admired Senator Joe Biden for many years. He was knowledgeable and professional in his handling of the confirmation hearings for Roberts and Alito. I hoped that Obama would choose him to be his running mate because that's what we need for this country right now: HOPE. I haven't voted in a presidential election in years, but that's going to change on November 4. Our country is a mess and we need WISE leaders right now. Obama showed wisdom and good judgment when he chose Biden. My vote goes to the Obama/Biden ticket.
Comment: The GOP is grasping at straws. They have nothing substantive against Obama, but boy are they good at making up lies. This has been a leading Karl Rove tactic for years, and if America falls for this again we should be ashamed of ourselves. Not to mention the obvious fact that this is all a smokescreen to keep the focus off of the fact that Palin and her Alaska associates are in contempt of court for refusing to testify in the Troopergate hearings. After Nixon and Clinton, Americans are to some extent jaded, but really, would you want a VP who refuses to attend hearings in her own defense, and instructs her employees not to testify? That smells like guilt. It surely doesn't give the impression that she has done no wrong and has nothing to hide.
This year, the GOP offers you an angry old man and a woman who, while personable, is desperately uniformed about national and international issues. Both of them are far right politically. McCain used to be a maverick, but since 2004 he's voted 90% with Bush. McCain's policies are not original or reformist, despite how he's tried to co-opt Obama's popular message of change. Please go to the websites of both of the candidates and read their platforms. Obama's Blueprint for Change has more good ideas than McCain's plan. Compare them yourself. Obama's basic premise is that tax dollars should be spent to make America stronger and to improve the lives and well being of our people. For example, he uses education programs to train a new technology workforce, contributing to energy independence, creating jobs and improving the economy. When you read McCain's plan you will find no over-arching design to get America back on track. Instead you'll find more tax cuts for the wealthy, de-regulation of the health care industry, and a stated intent to overturn Roe v. Wade.
I'm a Republican. Although I embrace some forward-thinking social values, in the past I've rarely voted Democrat. My thinking was that since Republicans grow robust economies, by voting Republican I'd be endorsing a plan that would grow wealth for our nation, and then we'd be able to afford social programs. It was a good strategy for a couple decades, but I have to say that the tenure of W. Bush has changed my mind. Not only is there nothing fiscally responsible about today's GOP, the insidious alignment of the party with religious intolerance has really turned me off.
On the other hand, the intelligent luminous thought of Barack Obama has ignited my passion for politics and my patriotism. I want a President who puts America first and can get the economy back on track. In my mind, values voting takes a back burner when we are faced with a meltdown of the economy. It is time for a change, a real change. The Republicans have controlled the Presidency for 28 of the past 40 years, but they have fallen down on the job. The Democrats have a stellar candidate this year, and I am voting for Obama.
Comment: Glad to see you're still at it and the venom has subsided somewhat. Ageism code words: angry old man.
Comment: What Biden has in abundance, that Palin doesn't pocess at all, is common decency and true CLASS. He is upstraight in his principles, and it shows in an understated and restrained way - what you would expect from a well respected and trustworthy STATESMAN. He was kind and respectful towards his opponent. He took care to answer the questions, and was serious in his thinking and deliberation. Watching the contrast between this eloquent yet gracious statesman defending his position from constant attacks of a lightweight candidate was such a lesson for GRACE under fire and SELF-CONTROL.
Palin, on the other hand, was making such a spectacle of herself, an agressive flirting winking offence. Being a professional woman myself, I was indeed horified by her transparent attempt to play the "Sex Card" to her political advantage. Supreme showmanship/self-confidence with very little depth of knowledge/thinking can be a LETHAL COMBINATION for high office. She is certainly not ready nor fit to be VP!
Comment: "understated and restrained way" "self-control" are not words associated with Biden - by his own admission.
Comment: Senator Biden does not care about most Delawareans. Very many of us would like to hear even less from him.
Comment: Senator Biden does not care about most Delawareans. Very many of us would like to hear even less from him.
Comment: I see where this is going republicans NEED to increase the importance of character so when they attack repeatedly, it will be effective. With the market down over 800 points, things are not looking good for McCain. CHARACTER ASSASSINATION is the final frontier if McCain and Palin have ANY hope in winning this election. That's probably why I see the personal attacks at a all time high.
Here is some character traits republicans overlooked 1) when the media went after Palin's daughter Obama said kids are off limits. 2) Biden had so many chances to crush Palin but did not (he let the media take care of that) 3) In politics, you want to attack the other persons record, Obama has tried hard not to personally attack the McCain or Palin, Palin personally attacks Obama the funniest part is when Palin (who considers herself an outsider) said Obama was naive because that is what she was told to say. 3) McCain who wants to fight for every America just gives up and leaves Michigan. 4) McCain wants to continue to throw the POW shield up but the sealed records to show that he adhered to the code of conduct. He probably did, but I'm curious why he had it sealed. 5) Class standing, those who wish to lead must first learn to follow. If McCain was goofing off. It stands to reason that with the McCain connection, he felt he nothing to prove.and daddy would take care of him. What is worse is that the Navy still allowed him to fly. .Anyone else would have been sent packing. It turns out that it was not good fortune that he was allowed to fly but it was good fortune his father was a ranking officer in the Navy..
Comment: I guess since Palin did not give any NEW facts, we can't saw we can't fact check her. Most of what she said was alreadly proven WRONG but she said it anyway. That is exactly what McCain needs, a mouthpiece. What is that, 3 beauty queens for McCain? I'm sure it is just a coincidence.
Palin is biding her time but IF she is VP, I don't think she will wait the 8 years to be president, She makes Obama's train appear to be traveling local.
Comment: For those interested in gauging the fidelity and honesty of John McCain, here is a link about how he cheated on, and then dumped, the wife who stood by him and raised their kids, all the time he was a POW:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/10/05/AR2008100502589_2.html
Comment: get over it. Do you ever think that his children and wife are tired of hearing personal attacks on them? How would you feel if your mother, sister, daughter, wife was constantly referred to as 'crippled' "injured" or somehow less than. You are hurting her when you write this...is that your intent? He has admitted to all of it. Leave his ex-wife out of it. There are many more substantive things you can attack him.
Comment: Biden is one of the leading authorities in the Senate on the Middle East and when he spoke in detail about it in the debate, Palin had no idea what he was talking about. Biden is actually respected in the Middle East, unlike Bushie or old man vicious-McCain. Yes, diplomacy is needed, not talking and using the Cheney caveman approach of do-what-I-say-or-I-kill-you doesn't work too well. No world leaders will respect McCain or dingbat Palin. What a great born again Christian Palin is as she calls Obama a terrorist, he was 8 years old when the Weathermen were active, so I guess he was an eight year old terrorist with bombs attached to his tonka trucks. Biden is a class act and he and Obama are not sleazy or stupid or low class enough for this campaign, but Fox news is! Glenn Beck and his homoerotic best friend Ted Nugent were blabbing last week about taking their guns and rising up against the government, that citizens in Texas will get their guns and take matters into their own hands as they encouraged this behavior-great, shoot cops and anyone who is associated with the government. And as Palin is against any gun control whatsoever, including machine guns for private citizens, I just found out someone went into one of our local schools with a gun. Wait til your kid is shot at school, you'll be crying for gun laws...
Comment: Biden thinks well of Obama, now that he is on the ticket. He was afraid of his lack of experience. Obama has less experience than Palin, he just has had more exposure. He really has only spent two years as a Senator before becoming a full time candidate.
Comment: Wake up America! This is what a Vice President should be. All the best to Joe Biden -- thanks for taking the Obama offer. A Paterson, Winter Springs FL
Comment: I love hearing all the anti-Biden comments. Reminds me of the primaries and all the Clinton fans trying to smear Obama with whatever crap they could. It will be so nice to see all you GOP zombies crying, cussing and blaming the MSM for your tickets own stupidity. Obama and Biden are Constitutional Law scholars. McCain is an overpriveleged fly boy who never had a real job in his entire life. While Palin is an oportunist politician who has never read a real book in her entire life. So sad.
Comment: If Biden is so well informed why did he make so many factual errors (including the Constitutional interpretation he botched)? And he made the errors with such righteous indignation. Why wasn't that part of the Newsweek discussion. It just shows you that Democrats who like to think of themselves as smarter and more rational still fall for shallow intellectual pretenders.

Comment: how much do you, personally, know about Obama? do you rely on the MSM to get your information? how can you call something crap when you don't know if it's true or not?
Comment: John McCain has shown through his past actions that he has absolutely no concern whatsoever for the wellbeing of middle-class Americans. When taking that into consideration, just how do you think he will handle the current financial disaster our economically battered nation is in today? For an answer to that question, one must look to the past, specifically McCain???s disgraceful involvement in the Keating Five savings-and-loan scandal that decimated our economy, not to mention millions of hard working American???s life savings, in the late 1980???s.
Even though he was absolutely disgraced publicly and the Senate Ethics Committee admonished him for his deplorable actions, John McCain still continued his fervor for rampant deregulation that caused the cascading savings-and-loan collapses in the late 1980???s and the current credit crisis destroying our economy today.
Millions of honest, hard working Americans had their life savings wiped out when one savings-and-loan after another went down because of the criminality of repugnant swindlers such as Charles Keating. Charles Keating is a convicted felon who greedily defrauded millions out their life savings, while at the same time he donated more money to John McCain???s campaign than any other contributor in the nation. And what did John McCain do when he learned of Keating???s arrest? He illegally tried to use his power and influence to keep his good friend and single largest campaign contributor out of jail.
McCain???s involvement as the key figure in the Keating Five scandal is a window into his past, present, and future disregard for middle-class Americans. I urge all decent Americans who are sick and tired of being treated like second class citizens by the reprehensible corporate elite on Wall Street and their enablers such as John McCain, to take a look at KeatingEconomics.com
Comment: The Democratic special prosecutor recommended that McCain be dropped from the case. The Democratic politicians on the committee would have none of that, since it would leave only the four actually guilty Democrats on the docket.
Comment: How do square your discription of McCain and the Keating Four Democrats with the fact that the Democratic special prosecutor recommended that McCain be dropped from the case? (Of course, the Democrats in charge would not hear of that.)
Comment: The fact that Fox News Network is taking the position of launching a series of all out assaults against senator Obama???s character is a sad day in journalism. They should be ashamed of the immoral and unethical standards that their network displays on a continual basis. What they must be made to understand is that as citizens we rely upon networks for their fair and accurate reporting of events and we will not tolerate anything less, especially when its over the top or maybe I should say as far right as Fox News Network is. It is time to take a stand against Fox and look to other networks for fair and accurate news coverage.
Comment: come on you have got to be a nut all the other msm stations are in the tank for obama fox is balanced with the exception of hanity's america! even hanity and colmbs is balanced you have got to be a obama camp nut case if there ever was one !
Comment: haha hysterical isn't it? what planet are these folks on that they think FOX is the only propaganda outlet? they are the only ones not in the tank for obama, and to think bigdadred's comments were made in the most probarry MSM there is and under the most mancrushed messiah worshipper's article. Here you go McCain fans. Turn around is fair play. Obama is not going to sit there like Kerry and not respond. The video in its entirety will be available on Monday and plays for 13 minutes.
Comment: Both John McCain and Democratic Senator John Glenn were found innocent of any charges. Keating is a closed book.
Comment: Yeah, Yeah. if it is a closed book for McCain, then why is it not a closed book for Obama for Ayers? In fact Obama has nothing to defend whereas McCain HAD to defend himself because he was involved. Don't be hypocritical
Comment: Different circumstances. McCain was found clean by a Senate committee. At least half of the American people want to know why Obama made poor judgment calls by associating with people you mentioned. If Obama didn't agree with them and detested their behavior as he says he does, why would he ever associate with them in the first place? This inconsistency is what troubles many people.
Comment: Actually, they were found guilty - and told not to do it again. But they were very, very guilty. You need to buy a book dy-purr.
Comment: What's it all about... Alphie...... You sure as hell dont' know. A Senate investigation found that McCain and Sen. John Glenn were clean, by Democrats no less!
No one here gives a damn if you find them guilty in the "court of Alphie" for your benefit.
