Well Good for Obama, it was about time to respond to the attacks of the brainless barking Chihuahua. I prefer a high road campaign based on ISSUES and SUBSTANCE. But since McCain campaign is directed to the brainless that will vote for the wrapping and likeability contest, the he obvious have to defend himself....
Why don t the press investigate the truth about McCain and the Keating five? And I understand that Cindy s involvement with Keating was not investigated and that he drug problem initiated there.
What about investigating Cindy s and son with the bank he directs. As Palin said: Hold on to your hats and more here!

Now coming to Palin, why the press is not investigating about Troopergate? And Todd s meddling with state s affairs? And why not investigate the 800 million dollar law suit that oil companies have against the state of Alaska because of what Palin has done. Does it means Alaska appears to cut benefits to oil companies and then they suit to recover? As someone says take with one hand and give with another?
What about the alleged extra-marital affair, well it goes to the character too.
I can???t believe there is a VP candidate with an ongoing investigation where Palin, her husband and staff are in contempt of court and an ongoing law suit and the press do not investigate?.....I forgot there are about 40 aides of McCain taking control there and breaking some arms and legs too..........

Meanwhile the worst unemployment rate in 5 years is reported and the stock market dropped over 500 points today.

Mr. Rove again analyzed many things wrong as he did during the Bush presidency.
    God help us.

The republicans are SO proud of Palin that they continue to hide her from the press.

McCain is so proud of where he wants to take his country he wants to talk about William Ayers.

    Dishonrable slime.

Sorry, Karl, according to the polls Palin's debate performance weakened rather than strengthened the ticket.
These are fresh numbers from Zogby:
    http://zogby.com/news/ReadNews.dbm?ID=1570
The more America sees of Palin, the tougher it is for McCain to win independents, moderates, new immigrants, and Blue Dog Democrats. But maybe she's looking beyond November, maybe she's looking into the mirror and likes what she sees. She's certainly falling in love with the sound of her voice.

I saw an article on realclearpolitics.com that was very interesting.... Where a a big chunk of Palin's few comments talk about her real aspirations.... such as what she would do if she had to step up to the Prez role in the VP debate.... Is pretty scary. At one point I had sympathy for her in being played by the Republicans... No more. Now I see that she is like so many others.........would willingly do it for her own personal gain. Anyone so obviously self-interested is a ripe target for the Republican political machine and Rove/Bush part 2. Four or eight years later, as we look up from the cellar and wonder what happened to us, we have only ourselves to blame......

    Palin is a retard.

McDonalds sells a lot of burgers - doesn't make them healthy.

    Country first my ass.

Anyone supporting this utterly unqualified wink job needs to question their patriotism.

McCain = cancer + senile dementia
Palin = a bull in the china shop
    Obama = quasi-Muslim terminator
    Is God damning America?

What's up with Karl Rove bailing from the ship he was key to creating to trying to being a commentator? After he apparently has abandoned Bush after creating Bush, somehow apparently avoided criminal charges, and is now operating below the radar screen trying to salvage something with individual senate races?

In that context, Mr. Rove's comments that Palin's appeal being an asset is a very sick joke. Bush had that for six years, and see where it got us. Appeal should be based on what our leaders are doing for their country based on the trust we have given them by our vote. It is a huge responsibility and one I would never be willing to take on.

I am so saddened for our country that we went down the path we went where all has come to this, where it doesn't matter what you represent, as long as you have appeal. Hitler had appeal. What we need now is a return to REAL morals, values and ethics, not ones from sound bites that play on fear, greed and intolerance.

I predict that if McCain somehow pulls out this election, it is the beginning of the end for the U.S. as we know it. A republican administration at this point will show the world that those values that gained so much respect for close to 100 years are gone. If Obama wins, the next few years will be some of the most difficult times we as Americans have faced for several generations as we pay the debts we have acquired, but if we are lucky, at the end we will have paid for our sins and can move into a bright future once again.

I had children when I was 40.... triplets. They are now 7 years old. I have enjoyed my life, so have no regrets. But, as all of you with children will understand, it has ceased to be about me, and is now all about what I am leaving for them. Our choice now is about our future. I hope we make the right one.

The GOP is grasping at straws. They have nothing substantive against Obama, but boy are they good at making up lies. This has been a leading Karl Rove tactic for years, and if America falls for this again we should be ashamed of ourselves. Not to mention the obvious fact that this is all a smokescreen to keep the focus off of the fact that Palin and her Alaska associates are in contempt of court for refusing to testify in the Troopergate hearings. After Nixon and Clinton, Americans are to some extent jaded, but really, would you want a VP who refuses to attend hearings in her own defense, and instructs her employees not to testify? That smells like guilt. It surely doesn't give the impression that she has done no wrong and has nothing to hide.

This year, the GOP offers you an angry old man and a woman who, while personable, is desperately uniformed about national and international issues. Both of them are far right politically. McCain used to be a maverick, but since 2004 he's voted 90% with Bush. McCain's policies are not original or reformist, despite how he's tried to co-opt Obama's popular message of change. Please go to the websites of both of the candidates and read their platforms. Obama's Blueprint for Change has more good ideas than McCain's plan. Compare them yourself. Obama's basic premise is that tax dollars should be spent to make America stronger and to improve the lives and well being of our people. For example, he uses education programs to train a new technology workforce, contributing to energy independence, creating jobs and improving the economy. When you read McCain's plan you will find no over-arching design to get America back on track. Instead you'll find more tax cuts for the wealthy, de-regulation of the health care industry, and a stated intent to overturn Roe v. Wade.

I'm a Republican. Although I embrace some forward-thinking social values, in the past I've rarely voted Democrat. My thinking was that since Republicans grow robust economies, by voting Republican I'd be endorsing a plan that would grow wealth for our nation, and then we'd be able to afford social programs. It was a good strategy for a couple decades, but I have to say that the tenure of W. Bush has changed my mind. Not only is there nothing fiscally responsible about today's GOP, the insidious alignment of the party with religious intolerance has really turned me off.

On the other hand, the intelligent luminous thought of Barack Obama has ignited my passion for politics and my patriotism. I want a President who puts America first and can get the economy back on track. In my mind, values voting takes a back burner when we are faced with a meltdown of the economy. It is time for a change, a real change. The Republicans have controlled the Presidency for 28 of the past 40 years, but they have fallen down on the job. The Democrats have a stellar candidate this year, and I am voting for Obama.

WOW... PALIN REALLY WANTS TO PLAY THE GUILTY BY ASSOCIATION GAME? OK! WELL THIS VIDEO SHOULD BE MADE INTO A COMMERCIAL. Let's talk about Palin's association with the Alaskan Independence Party? Her husband (and probably her) has been a part of an organization in Alaska that preaches secession from the USA. They are not all that nice. Then she talks about Obama's "radical" friends? WELL, THEN PALIN OBVIOUSLY WANTS ALASKA TO BECOME AN INDEPENDENT COUNTRY, RIGHT? PLEASE WATCH, READ AND SHARE:

Imagine a hockey mom who screams at her child, the coach and the ref without any regard for exhibiting sportsman-like conduct. This train wreck should clearn herself up. Just like Bush she uses personal accounts to conduct official gov't business to avoid transparency. She deserves everything she gets.

  • Posted By: rajoro @ 10/06/2008 12:52:36 PM

Rove your ilk is worthless, your time has passed, you and your sponsors and candidates have looted the treasury for the last time!

Palin is a trojan Horse and you know it just like Bush she is a proxy for brighter and more devious elements of your party.

The game here was to always destroy the New Deal and the federal governement by busting out the bank and letting it collapse on top of the American people. Why you are not sitting in a jail cell is incredible but understandable as you are being protected by the present administration.

Just like John McCain got a pass and his wife got a pass and Limbaugh got a pass, you all are hypocrites and un-American traitors and treasonous in your cause to destroy our constitution as it is enshrining a government for the people! You want to go back to the founders and make it a government for SOME of the people, but women and men of true strength are living out the true meaning of America's creed.

What executive experience is everyone talking about! Palin has been Governor of a state that most people in the US have never been to, has less people than most congressional districts, and much of what she had done was put in the works by her predecessor. And insinuating that her limited experience in any way readies her for the Oval office is ridiculous. It's like saying that a budget-rated "B" movie actress is ready for a Hollywood blockbuster. Giving Palin the VP position would be like giving her an Academy Award for best supporting actress that she didn't deserve.

    • Posted By: joiedevivre @ 10/06/2008 12:45:50 PM

And Obama's experience that would qualify him for the office of Vice President, is ........

    • Posted By: IndyCentrist @ 10/06/2008 11:47:24 AM

Executive refers to a position of individual leadership such as a President, Governor, Mayor, etc. Being a governor and mayor is what the Republicans are touting as Palin's executive experience.

  • Posted By: nancysabet @ 10/06/2008 8:55:17 AM

Palin is a fresh air in the old corrupt politics as usual. She is so likable and smart and yes more experienced than Obama for sure. She will be a excellent VP and terrific President later.

    • Posted By: 66gardeners @ 10/06/2008 12:44:22 PM

As one other commenter noted, we need more hockey players, coaches and ref, not loud mouthed parents screaming obscenities from the sidelines. Sarah Palin is a loud mouthed okie-dokey idiot

    • Posted By: suzvoter47 @ 10/06/2008 9:26:03 AM

Enter Your Comment: She is a wolf in sheeps clothing, her folksy I care tone is a ploy that she uses and uses well. she is as inaunthentic as they come. Just a pretty face willing to learn from the Rovian taught school of learning to win at any cost.

When she returns to Alaska I hope she has to finally answer to her actions regarding troopergate, Her dishonesty in the face of facts is simply amazing.

    • Posted By: jath123 @ 10/06/2008 9:01:07 AM

Actually, she will go back to Alaska after losing the election, where she will be embroiled in the Troopergate investigation that will ultimately cost her the governor's position. Buh bye Sarah.

      You are insane.

  • Posted By: joiedevivre @ 10/06/2008 12:38:08 PM

Wow, looking at some of the posts, Palin continues to inspire mindless fear. Poor Obama, if elected, he'll have both Palin and Hillary closing in on him.

  • Posted By: Geon Lee @ 10/06/2008 11:10:59 AM

I agree that Paiin is an asset. It is important for voters to know what is the nature of Obama's tie to terrorist and radicals

It is A VERY LEGITIMATE question, NOT SMEAR TACKTIC or CHARACTER ASSASINATION, to ask Obama's DEEP CONNECTION with Ayers. This is A SERIOUS ISSUE. Are you going to IGNORE a presidential candidate's TIE to a TERRORIST and other RADICALS?
Obama says his relationship with Ayers is casual. But, is it RESEANABLE TO BELIEVE, when OBAMA LAUNCHED HIS POLITICAL CAREER at AYERS' HOUSE?

    • Posted By: IndyCentrist @ 10/06/2008 11:15:06 AM

You should try to TYPE IN CAPS MORE! That makes people think you KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!

      • Posted By: suzvoter47 @ 10/06/2008 12:34:04 PM

If you believe that Ayers is the real problem and not part of some smear campaign tatctic, perhaps reopening the books on the Keating five , S & L crisis of the 80's and McCain's role in which he was admonished by congress fo his dealings with Keating... Do you know how many families lost there lives savings because of Keating and oh yeah McCain. Well my inlaws lost $$$$$ hard earned money. So if connections need to be made than lets start there.

If thats not enough we can add Liddys contributions and support of McCain as well
