    Isn't this is nice.

    Two of McCains best who are both currently in the midst of defying subpoenas and skirting the law.

    And now we are supposed to let them lecture us on ethical conduct? No way!

    And now these two people who place them selves above the law are trying to paint a non existent relationship between Obama and some bad person.

    This is nothing more than a new barrage of attacks from a desperate McCain campaign.

    An attempt, yet again, to lie, distort, deceive and do whatever smear and fear it takes to win a campaign that is increasingly in disarray.

    Sorry but people are just fed up with the lies, distortions and exaggerations being prominently displayed by the McCain campaign.

    I do not trust, let alone believe one word Karl Rove has to say. As far as his "brilliant political strategy" is concerned, I see him doing whatever it takes to get his person into office. That includes lies, deceit, theft and generally raping the American public. Look where he got us with George Bush. Surely you can't imagine that we would be where we are had an honest administration? I don't know how you can convince yourself you are a good person when you have destroyed so many Americans, American troops and we have lost all credibility around the world... I think Karl Rove is the lowest of the low. John Mc Rove Cain and Sarah Rove Palin?? I don't think so.

      I totally agree with you and I don't know how Newsweek could think that he has any credibility. His headline is about McCain -Palin, yet the article is all about Obama, and that's why the are going to lose this race. They have spent all the time tearing down Obama without every putting forward their own positions which we know are no different from Bush's on healthcare , education and energy. Their answer to everything is "all of the above" or "all options are on the table". The same Karl Rove that teared down and destroyed McCain's chances is now trying to package a candidate again with Schmids**t. You can see the puppet strings behind McCain and Palin and that is why unscripted they both go down in flames.

        It took a while, way too long, but the American public has caught on to Karl Rove. He has brilliantly done the country, and even the world, a great disservice by propelling the idiot prince into our highest office, abusing and pillaging a host of good people along the way. Good riddance. Let him write. We want an opportunity to insult him as much as we can. He earned it and he deserves it.

    This Palin woman frightens me. One 72 year old heartbeat away from the presidency of this great country of ours. She does not know which newspaper she often reads and gosh golly she does not understand what she reads. I also read the NY Times article she was referring to and it clearly states "the two men do not appear to have been close. Nor has Mr. Obama ever expressed sympathy for the radical views and actions of Mr. Ayers, whom he has called ???somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8.??? To insinuate that Mr Obama is a terrorist is beyond reason or decency and clearly shows how the republicans take us all for fools.

      Obama is linked to a terriorist among other criminals and he should be jailed. I would vote for Mickey Mouse over Obama/Biden and think it would disgrace this country to see Obama and his "ashamed of her country" woman in the WHITE HOUSE. Send them both overseas where they belong.

      Sarah Palin is what we need in the White House....not two lawyers with a truckload of lobbyists. Keep in mind this housing crisis started in the Clinton Admin. If you don't believe that check the facts.

        Guilt by association might work if there was anything above mere a meeting, that Ayers attended. Ayers has a right to move freely in society. It was Government misconduct that prevented his trial under the law in the first place. (You know, domestic black bad jobs by Nixon's crew, just like the ones done by the fascists in power today.)

        Mickey Mouse, yes how appropriate. If McCain and Palin get in that is exactly what you will get Mickey Mouse and Mini Mouse. They have extremely limited understanding and depth of knowledge on economics, to say the least. The Community Reinvestment Act states that banks should not hurt themselves in the process. The Act involves investing in other things besides homes, namely small businesses, etc. Deregulation of the industry allowing insurance and other firms to buy and get into the banking business eliminated many a company's obligation to this law. Outrageous debt ratios of 50% or more for mortgages, 80/20 mortgage loans equaling 100 % financing, interest only loans and extremely low teaser rates without explanation and/or qualificartion concern were banks' own underwriting creations. Couple this with massive layoffs and job outsourcing, credit card company preditors, inflation, continuous flat wages, housing bubble and years of Greenspan's flawed philosophy of market suppression solutions via rate reduction and increased money supply and you have a financial crisis waiting to happen. And if what you say is true and Clinton was responsible, which I've illustrated he is not, than what was the excuse for the Republicans not doing anything about it. They had six full years of complete power and control off both the executive and legislative branch of government where they were in the drivers seat.

    I'm sorry.. I don't WANT an everyday American for VP or President. I want someone that has been educated at one of the finest schools available. Someone that has actually read.. and studied the Constitution and considered a constitutional scholar. Afterall, they are sworn in to uphold, protect and defend the constitution of the United States. Shouldn't we have someone that has studied extensively on Constitutional Law? Shouldn't we have at least someone that can intelligently discuss many differant Supreme Court rulings? Naming one besides Roe V Wade would be a start! This notion that we should pick someone "just like normal joe sixpack" is so ludicrous. Palin makes George Bush look like Socrates.

    Karl Rove???s opinion that ???the race is tight??? because Americans ???have persisent doubt about whether Obama is qualified??? as absolutely superficial. At this point in time what American???s most care about is an economic crisis that has the potential become catastrophic, and the loss of confidence in the financial system. Polls ??? across the nation ??? show that voters have more confidence in Obama???s qualifications that McCain???s in handling the economic crisis.
    A more substantive opinion, Mr. Rove, is race. It is a deep, profound and often unspeakable, so much so, that analysts such as yourself do not give it the conserdation it merits. It is indeed an issue and had Obama been white, it would be a landslide at this point.

      It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with experience and truthworthiness. And if you want to make it about race- I'd say that has given Obama his greatest pass with the media. No let forget there is agism and sexism abound. I want to know where Obama really gets his money. Maybe "Will,Good" who list his employer as "loving" who has contributed 1,000 times to the Obama campaign. All the contributions have been in amounts of $25 or less but they add up to $17,375- far more than the legal lmit. Or maybe "Mr DoodadPro who has made 786 contributions for a total of $19,500. Since Obama has raised a whopping $223,000,000 in contributions of less than $200 it makes me wonder who is funding him? Candidates are not required to disclose the names of those who contribute less than $200 and Obama has not though McCain has made his complete donor database available online.
      A Mr. Timmerman was particularly curious about 11,500 contributions from overseas totalling $33.8 million.
      Mr. McCain and Hillary Clinton required foreign donors to provide proof of citizenship. Until very recently, Mr. Timmerman said, the Obama campaign did not. "More than 1,400 of the overseas entries clearly were U.S. diplomats or military personnel, who gave an APO address," Mr. Timmerman wrote. But they accounted for only 12 percent of Mr. Obama's overseas donors, and the aggregate total of their contributions was just $201,680.
      "In July and August, the head of Nigeria's stock market held a series of pro-Obama fund-raisers in Lagos," Mr. Timmerman said. "At one event, a table for eight went for $16,800. Nigerian press reports claimed sponsors raked in an estimated $900,000."

      Making contributions on credit cards via the Internet -- as both Good Will and Doodad Pro did -- makes it easier for foreigners to contribute. Web logger Pamela Geller (Atlas Shrugs) reported three Palestinians living in a refugee camp in Gaza tried to donate $33,500 to the Obama campaign last year. They were caught only because the amount was far above the legal limit. If foreigners donate in amounts less than $200, their illegal involvement would be virtually undetectable.
      I say follow the money something does not seem right with this election and that is why I will not vote for Obama. A democrat in PA

    People on the left always talk about Troopergate, but what about Rezkogate!

    In Troopergate, the person who resigned, has already stated that it had nothing to do with the firing of any trooper (It's a moot point). Even it it was about the firing of the Trooper, this Trooper had made threats to the life of Palin's Dad, and had tasered a family member.

    In Rezkogate, Obama was paid by Rezko, a significant amount above market value for a piece of property that Obama owned, and Rezko lived right next door to Obama!

    Remember Obama was 2nd in line to Chris Dodd in contributions recieved from these corrupt morgage companies!

    Jealous because they don't have the guts, and poise to do what she did in the debate while standing up to the most pressure any candidate running for any office has ever faced (Check out the ratings, and that says it all).

    Cowards because if they had to debate under that amount of pressure, they would either not show up, or give birth to some unmentionables while up on stage!

      I challenge anyone to say that Sarah performed well in her debate. She did not exude nor win confidence. Her words were aggressive and confident words, but she was not. Her voice shook, her words ran together, she avoiding answering questions and instead went into a rote spiel, and was not poised. She was ridiculous and I was embarrassed for her. Her fear was audible and visible...watch the tape again and wake up. She is not confident. A confident woman doesn't need someone else to extensively train, coach and script her words. A confident woman does not hide from interviews. Wake up.

        I guess you see what you expect to see when you watch debates or follow political news (especially if you are liberal and take all your news from mainstream media). I know a lot of people who were either sitting on the fence or right-leaning who felt that Governor Palin did very well in the debate. I think it is interesting how many people are calling Biden's performance in the debate the performance of a lifetime when there were a number of times when he made completely false statements (otherwise known as LIES). To name a few: he claimed Obama never said he???d sit down with Ahmadinejad, he said McCain weakened regulation when he had actually called for stronger regulations on Fannie and Freddie, and he claimed that McCain voted the same way as Obama ??? to increase taxes on those earning $42000 a year ??? which is not true. Additionally, if you???ve actually read Obama???s economic plan, he has over half a trillion dollars worth of additional expenses he wants to add to our Federal Budget ??? and that???s above and beyond what the yearly budget already is. So, while you???re looking at all Palin???s shortcomings, try gaining some perspective by comparing them to the many many (but not so widely publicized) of Obama???s.

      Are you kidding! The only reason people watched is because this whole thing has become a joke. The Repulicans are like used car dealers trying to sell everyone a "lemon". She may have gotten herself elected in Alaska, poor Alaskans, however she is in not national material by any means. She does not have the intellectual curiosity or capacity for complex issues and in no way represents women, just herself. We are facing tremendous challenges in this country which have the potential to make or break us as a nation.

    Mr. Rove, McCain had better not do it the way you helped Bush win in the last election ... by lying about his opponent's character! From the looks of Palin's attempt to link Obama with Ayers based on a New York Times piece that proved the opposite conclusion, this proves that she not only didn't read the article she claimed she read, but that she and the rest of the McCain Campaign have chosen to resort to those same tactics.

      Ma'am the model was minted in '88 by Lee Atwater. Rove is a successor. Rove cut his teeth in Nixon's 72 campaign under the tutelage of Segretti, a convicted Watergate dirty tricks man. All of that is on the record.

The freakish character of angry lesbian satire and long time consort of Madonna, Sandra Berhard was dropped from a benefit at a Boston women's shelter this week because of her horrific comment about Sarah Palin being gang raped by a group of blacks in harlem............not only does this egregious epithet insult black men in america but it speaks to what we already know.     You don't give anyone unbalanced or erratic anything that represents a sense of power.
    No guns or weapons, no cache of fertilizer, and certainly no command of a military power.

    Bush don't have republican values; he cut taxes (specially for the riches) and he spent like crazy. He is a socialist to the riches. McCain-Palin campaign follows pretty much the same economic policies as Bush.
    Your arguments of Palin having solid executive experiences for the job. That is full of ***. If she become the prez and get a hold of the nuclear launch code, you think she know enough about the world to decide whether to launch the missles or not. Please save us all.
