Whaddya like: this one, that one or the other? You know this one, you know about that one and as for the other, well you know. Follow your heart: this one, that one or the other.
So how was Ronald Reagan "average" and not an "elitist"? He was a Hollywood movie star, which is a despised demographic on the right, which is often grouped with "ivory tower academics" in conservative rhetoric. Humble beginnings do not mean that someone shares a common experience with "average" Americans, do they?
If what I have seen for the last month from John McCain's Campaign is a sample of what the next 4 years will be --- I don't want any part of it. Sarah Palin has about as much sense as my poodle, and I have finally witnessed Mr. McCain's temper 1st hand. Being from Texas I am used to seeing temper tantrums from our leaders (Bush) so personally I'll take someone that is cool, calm and collected. This ATTACK that Sarah Palin and Cindy McCain oh and the Ring Leader Ol' John himself, has absolutly made me sick to my stomach. It has left them all with a bad reputation and also left Sarah Palin in a position where no one would ever consider her for a political career in any office anywhere EVER !!!! But she made that choice all by herself.
All these new attacks have done have shown the immaturity and desperation of a sinking campaign. It is so sad when a campaign has to go back 40 years to find something on a person and then try to beat it to death.
Terri from Texas
Rove should be in jail along with GW for lying to the people on so many issues. Now today they have listened into provate conversations via the NSA. Private conversations not involving any terrorist threat. They are no better than Adolph Hitler and the Nazi's opf the 1930s. It is the stealing of American rights and freedoms.
Rove is a good politico but nothing less than a GW Sleezeball!!!!!!
If Kar Rove thinks Palin's ability to actually speak is an asset - can you blame him? I mean look at the last puppet he had to work with. Good ol' W. Bush also struggles to think well on his own. He however came across as not only stupid, but insincere and arrogant. Governor Palin comes across to me as that group that are happy to come across as a little bit hick. And the inability to pronounce basic english words like nuclear (nucular) and infratructure (infastructure) is worse than ebonics and street.
I strongly take issue with the idea that Palin represents the "everyday American". Her income (combined with her husband's) puts her well beyond the typical middle class family. Most American families do not have unmarried pregnant teenage daughters and sons with drug problems.
And then there is her lifestyle. Her idea of a good time is to blow the head off of a moose with a semi-automatic rifle from the safety of a helicopter.
And all of this is because she delivers her speeches in a faux folksy style popularized by that beacon of political popularity, GWB. Palin???s vocal inflection and delivery reminds me of a cross between Francis McDormand???s character in Fargo and Miss Nancy of Romper Room.
Egad! I don???t think I could handle four years of her yapping ???ya betcha??? and ???darn right??? in every other sentence.
Palin is banking on the notion that all of the Joe six-packs are going to vote for her and McCain, however all of the TRUE Joe six-packs will TOO DRUNK to cast their votes for anybody. So much for the alcoholic vote...
Meanwhile, Obama will be vying for the votes of sober Americans who are satisfied with one beer or one glass of wine, thank you very much.
VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE
The upcoming election is the most critical election in the history of our nation. The very future of our nation???s foundation is at stake. Every person will be affected. If the liberals win, then our foundation will no longer be based on traditional morality. It will gradually but assuredly be based on an ever shifting, ever moving foundation. If the liberals win, the damage can???t be stopped with elections two, four or forty years from now. America will forever be changed. We will keep seeing a gradual and growing hostility toward people of faith. The morals of our nation will continue to decline. Our children and grandchildren will pay the price.
"Not all Democrats agree with Mr. Frank that such policies are off-limits to criticism. Last week Rep. Artur Davis of Alabama said in a statement: 'Like a lot of my Democratic colleagues I was too slow to appreciate the recklessness of Fannie and Freddie. I defended their efforts to encourage affordable homeownership, when in retrospect, I should have heeded the concerns raised by their regulator in 2004. Frankly, I wish my Democratic colleagues would admit when it comes to Fannie and Freddie, we were wrong.'
"Mr. Davis is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus."
'Rank snobbery'
Camille Paglia, who supports Sen. Barack Obama, has nothing but scorn for the way the media has treated Sarah Palin.
"The mountain of rubbish poured out about Palin over the past month would rival Everest. What a disgrace for our jabbering army of liberal journalists and commentators, too many of whom behaved like snippy jackasses," Miss Paglia writes at www.salon.com.
"The bourgeois conventionalism and rank snobbery of these alleged humanitarians stank up the place. As for Palin's brutally edited interviews with Charlie Gibson and that viper, Katie Couric, don't we all know that the best bits ended up on the cutting-room floor? Something has gone seriously wrong with Democratic ideology, which seems to have become a candied set of holier-than-thou bromides attached like tutti-frutti to a quivering green Jell-O mold of adolescent sentimentality."

Beauty and the Beast unleashed their inner pit bulls and are attacking Obama with their same old tricks- character assassination, lies and distortion. But Joe Six Pack isn't fooled.
This is a quote from foxnews.com:
"The analysis also concluded that in the latest period, nearly 100 percent of the McCain's ads were negative, compared to 34 percent of Obama's ads."
McCain has nothing good to say about himself. How pathetic.
Give it up, Rove! You guys messed up. You messed up the past eight years and this pick for VP. The Iraq surge is not the success you would claim it to be, according to Steven Simon of the Council on Froeign Relations and the latest NIE. Meacham, in his article, was writing of candidates from modest backgrounds who had a long history of striving for knowledge and a broad world-view, both of which your poorly-vetted pick, Palin, has not demonstrated. How do you sleep at night; you and Bush, Cheney, and even McCain? So many deaths and permanent injuries and the blodd is on yours and your entourage's hands. You know it is true.
There is no need to go on. You are not worthy of any more attention. Give it up. Move on. Find some other place to ruin with your foul, evil ways. The country has had enough of you and the GOP's severely misguided ways.
The KKK is back...just go to a Palin rally. But more importantly is the myth about McCain:
Experience...what does that mean?
We have recently seen endless examples of "experienced" corporate executives use poor judgment and make bad decisions, for which the rest of us are paying the price. For years we have also seen highly "experienced" advisors in the Bush administration use poor judgment and make bad decisions. Clearly, "experience" means little if it does not endow a person with wisdom and good judgment, and the ability to make good decisions in the best interest of the American people. John McCain has not done that. He supported deregulating the Saving & Loan Industry: the result was the biggest economic disaster since the Great Depression. He supported the deregulation of the banking industry: now we face an even greater disaster. Good Judgment? I think not. So who cares how much "experience" John McCain has under his belt? It has not endowed him with wisdom, good judgment or the ability to make good decisions in the best interest of the American People. Obama has shown good, measured judgement throughout his career, and is without question the better choice.

This must be one of the very very important decisions she has had to make in Alaska....sickening
Let's take a real look behind the curtain and Mr. Rove's agenda. We elect the scary old guy. The scary old guy becomes incapacitated and Ms. Palin assumes office. Who in their right mind, offering up an honest answer, thinks for one second the Republican machine is going to allow her to run anything but the White House washing machine or vacuum cleaner? I am not being sexist I am behing honest Karl Rove will not let his precious "permanent majoity" fall victim to this "little lady" not no way, not no how. The only problem Mr. Rove had with Bush is that the silly critter got it in his head that he was the leader of the country and therefore could make war, ignore national disasters and have all the free Pepsi the White House fridge could hold. Who knew he'd be so hard to control? Now as for Sarah??? I'd suggest you bring your apron to the White House sweetie 'cause if the old guy kicks it, you'll really have your hands full and that's a big house.
Say what you will, at an Obama rally you will not hear John McCain the person being demonized. Sure, his stands on the issues will be booed, but he will not be subjected to the outrageous and divisive smears like those that McCain and Palin are spewing about Obama and you will never hear his patriotism being questioned. When McCain's name is mentioned in an Obama rally, you will NOT hear a mob crying 'terrorist', and worse, 'kill him!' as has been heard at McCain and Palin rallies.
'For each tree is known by its own fruit.' I respect those honest republicans who simply have a respectful difference of opinion with Obama. But those decent Americans aside, and in contrast to the hope filled positive Obama campaign, we now have a negative hate-mongering 'No Obama.' campaign on the right which draws in religious bigots.like Unholyroller and GwenC, racists (you know who you are), and rabid McCarthyists left over from the 50's. On Nov.5 we will all still be Americans and will have a new president-elect based on the American institution of majority vote. We can have honest differences of opinion without causing a permanent rift between neighbors if we don't give in to hate.
It is quite believable that Karl Rove would find Sarah Palin's ability to inspire the animal nature of people through triggering fear, anger, and hate as an asset.
MCPAPPY is clearly out of touch. He referred to a Senator as "that one"? The last time I heard a goof like that was when Ross Perot said "you and your people" to a crowd at the NAACP. McCREEPY has shown very poor judgement the entire campain. Vermont ranks #1 as the smartest state, while ALASKA ranks #46. Palin left Wasilla in debt and legal battle that continues to this day. Palin and her husband belong to an Anti-American group that wants Alaska to pull out of the United States of America, saying that they should not have to live under the rules of our Government? Why is all this important? McGrampy chose Palin after meeting her only Once, not twice and if this is his decision making in such an important isuue as the VP of the USA, then think of where we will be in four years if he is allowed anywhere near the White House.
