My name is Robert Steffenino. I wanted to comment on Kimberley Pierce's article . I believe she makes valid points. I also believe that there are a great many creative and smart women out there with wonderful stories to share, and they should be given the same opportunites to share them as the rest of us. I believe that she herself is a great talent that the film industry is fortunate to possess. I have witnessed her creativity firsthand as one of her actors in "Boys Don't Cry."

Bravo Dr. Andrews. You're an inspiration to all of us in white coats and high heels.

      Bravo Ms. Peirce as well.

"The main character, Brandon Teena, was a woman who lived life as a man in order to be with women."
I disagree with this statement. Brandon was a transman who chose to live life as a man because that is what he was. Gender identity and sexual orientation are two separate issues. What Brandon's (or anyone's) gender is has nothing to do with who he was attracted to. Ms. Peirce, why do you not think that Brandon was a transman and insist on calling him "she?"

Comment: Are you kidding me? I open to "Women and Leadership" and see Tyra Banks? Dara Torres? Rosario Dawson? Anna Sui? Cynthia Nixon? Not to take away from the accomplishments of these women, but leadership? The real leaders are either missing or buried in the back. Insulting.
