I now have no doubt that objectivity and fair reporting is beyond your understanding. It has been proven by the coverage of this presidential campaign that fair reporting is not the goal of this magazine.

Your unflatering close up photo of Sarah Palin, and the halo affect you put on Obama puts you squarly in a "editorial weekly" magazine instead of true journalistic endeavor. We can only hope enough people see through your leaning and send a clear, concise message to Jon Meacham and the entire staff at NEWSWEEK that your very biased coverage cuts against the very core of journalistic integrity and sets you up as a PRO OBAMA propaganda arm seeking to establish the obamanation. Since Barack Obama clearly won last night's debate and has been almost universally declared the winner, I guess Jon Meacham will want to stipulate that McCain won last night's debate?

One question for Newsweek: Do you still even claim to be objective? Or do you openly acknowledge your political leanings like National Review and others? I am utterly amazed at your election coverage. Nothing critical about, Obama or Biden. Almost nothing about Obama's association with domestic terrorists and America-hating preachers. No mention that he is the most left wing senator and presidential candidate in our history. No mention of his involvement with Dodd, Frank, and other sin Congress in helping to set up this financial crisis we're in by pressuring Fannie May and Freddie Mac to make ludicrous loans. It seems you just can't stop bashing Sarah Palin, even though she has more experience than Obama. Look, I don't hate democrats... I voted for Kerry. I've been a Newsweek subscriber for years. I've always known your slant to be left of center but found it tolerable because, usually, the stories were thought-provoking. Over the past year or so, however, I often cringe after seeing the cover or reading the CW watch. First it was The Denial Machine issue with its shrill attacks against anyone who dare not fall in line with the human-caused global warming "crisis" theory and what our government "must do" to save the world. Then it was the CW watch giving the thumbs down to Galveston for being unlucky enough to be devasted by a hurricane! Now it's the elitist positon that the problem with Sarah Palin is that she's one of the folks. I have news for you Mr. Meacham, a lot of us "folks" subscribe to your magazine, know how to read, and take issue with your elitist views. How can you say Palin is not qualified when among the three she is the only one who has executive experience having been a Mayor and a Governor. She has governed her city and her state successfully! What more do you want? You don't deserve to be an editor. And for Newseek at that? You make me laugh.

Are you kidding me? I open to "Women and Leadership" and see Tyra Banks? Dara Torres? Rosario Dawson? Anna Sui? Cynthia Nixon? Not to take away from the accomplishments of these women, but leadership? The real leaders are either missing or buried in the back. Insulting.

There is not a link to article "When Atheists Attack" but since it was aimed at Shara Palin, I thought I would post it here. In the article Newsweek states that the Assembly of God faith believes Jews and Methodists will be punished for eternity in a lake of fire.

Nothing could be more further from the truth. I have been a member of the Assembly of God since 1976 and while in the Army lived in Alaska, Alabama, California, Kentucky, and Washington State. Never once have I heard anyone make a statement like that. If anything we believe Jews are still Gods chosen people and have prayed for other churches when we have heard there is a sickness or tragedy in their churches. It is against the faith of the Assembly of God Church to say anything against Jews or other Christain Churches. It is not allowed.
By publishing this mis-statement you are spreading the wrong feelings toward a body of Christ.
