I was extremely upset when I brought home the October 13th issue. I sat down to read through the issue and could not get past the cover. What's with the "raw" picture?? All of your covers are very professional, great shots with attention to detail. The picture you chose to print is completely untouched...no one, man nor women would want a picture of this quality...Did the airbrush tech. call in sick??? I feel you have lowered your professionalism with this cover.

Sarah Palin is the vice presidential candidate. John McCain has more than enough experience and he will guide her through the process and teach her what she needs to know. But she already knows more than Obama and has more experience than him. He spent his whole time in the senate running for president. Sarah Palin knows middle America and the best news is she actually cares about us.

The "untouched" photo of Palin on Newsweek shows us that the magazine wants Obama to win. There is no doubt about it. I will never buy the magazine again!

Most of these silly claims ONLY HURT MCCAIN!
Once again, we have people trying to use fear and just plain SILLINESS to try to gain support for Neocons!
(So in the name of HONESTY, the BIRTH Certificate that is in QUESTION SHOULD be MCCAIN's!!! He was BORN in the canal zone of Panama!!!!)

"Comment: Palin has more experience than Obama......we sure do get side tracked. Our nation is going to be threatened... McCain supporters...start working harder for our country."

A far BIGGER problem facing the US (which if you are a citizen) is ALSO OUR COUNTRY, the increasing large number of UNIFORMED voters that CONTINUE to VOTE AGAINST what's in the BEST INTEREST of the MIDDLE CLASS! (And yes, the MIDDLE CLASS is the HEART and SOUL of the US).

ENOUGH is ENOUGH and it is TIME that the WHITE HOUSE to be OCCUPIED by someone on the side of MIDDLE CLASS! (McCain and all of his wealth, his sexism, race baiting, nasty condescending attitude and willingnes to do and say anything is WRONG for AMERICA.)

As for the claims of experience, just showing up IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH! One's education is VALUABLE! If you do not agree, I suggest you tell the kids of America that education DOES NOT MATTER. Obama is a CONSTITUTIONAL SCHOLAR from HARVARD! Not for nothing, we have had 8 years of having an idiot in the White House.

How can any AMERICAN consider voting for Barack Obama, I challenge Newsweek to do an expose on him. Why is the media so impartial to his background and hiding facts that would not even qualify him for a position with the Secret Service, yet someone is willing to let him run this country, that is beyond stupidity. I want to see a copy of his "missing" birth certificate, is he even an American citizen. Anyone who associates with a supposedly Christian "REV" who God Da*** American should be deported to oh let's say IRAQ.

So much for objectivity in media. You should be ashamed. Now it's bad to be one of the folks? Don't those same folks buy your subscriptions and fund your paychecks? Bad move Newsweek.

"Do we want leaders who are everyday folks, or do we want leaders who understand everyday folks?"

I can't even bring myself to keep reading this. How, praytell, is a person to "understand everyday folks" when they've never been one? Oh yes, Obama is the picture of normal - raised in a private school in Hawaii, going to elite universities - a life that most parents can't even begin to dream of giving to their children because it's just beyond their means! The lies and the liberal propaganda that are running rampant in this election are getting beyond ridiculous ... and this article, this cover, is just another example.

Shame on the media - if you know that what you write is going to reach millions of people, do the fair thing and show both sides of the argument. Isn't that what Democrats what? For life to be fair and equal for everyone? Then maybe they should take the first step and start writing "fair" articles. Oh wait ... that would mean exposing the blatant lies Obama and Biden keep spewing out ... and probably the subsequent end of their party ... so I guess that will never happen. Too bad.

I know that as an independent voter, I'd rather have the Republicans doing the right thing for the country for the wrong reasons, than have the Democrats doing the wrong thing for the country for the right reasons.

You forgot the part about Obama taking out loans to pay for is education, his family did not have the means to pay for Columbia and Harvard.. Therfefore if he put himself through on grants, loans and scholarships what makes him less like you and me exactly pary tell.

      • Posted By: jones821 @ 10/09/2008 10:48:05 AM

Loans and scholarships ... and then he left school and took his job that paid practically nothing ... so how is he paying off those loans? And how did he afford that 1.4 million dollar house he's living in? You bring up a good point - he gets the things he has through his dealings with certainly shady individuals and known criminals. Maybe you can explain his judgment there? Oh, that's right, he's disassociated himself from these people since he's been thrust into the spotlight. No more Ayers (oh no, he had no idea what Ayers was all about ever, did he?), no more racist preacher, no more Tony Rezko. Are you seriously trying to tell me that he's a normal person? You know as well as everyone else out there that he's not - the only thing that's normal about him is that he's as unqualified as the "everyday folks" to be in office.

This is such a disgusting and obviously sexist article. Not even readable. All you koolaid drinkers should just try to look at Obama and Biden's record. But the problem is that you are just ignoring facts about Fannie and Freddie and that he took the 2nd highest payout. that he hangs and is VERY friendly with terrorists and took more than 3.3 million dollars in foreign donors. You libs keep becoming more pathetic

  • Posted By: USMC2008 @ 10/09/2008 10:43:38 AM

Palin has more experience than Obama, but isn't he running against McCain? Hmmmmm......we sure do get side tracked. Our nation is going to be threatened if Obama Joe smoker gets elected. I urge ALL of us McCain supporters to start working harder for our country.

  • Posted By: frannyr @ 10/09/2008 10:41:34 AM

This article is not only disgusting but so obviously sexist. THis is not even a readable magazine anymore. How low are you willing to go to try to get an obvious marxist to get the white house? You should reallly examine what kind of childhood and family you have. Hopefully your parents are embarrassed.

Well remember the dirt comes around and here you go...

I couldn't say it any better myself, so here is Steve Benen from The Washington Monthly on guilt by association:

"Americans need to ask themselves if they've ever befriended a convicted felon who advised his supporters on how best to shoot federal officials in the head. John McCain has.

Americans need to ask themselves if they've ever used the money of a convicted criminal to help them buy their house. John McCain has.

Americans need to ask themselves if they've ever befriended a radical televangelist who has lashed out at the Roman Catholic Church, calling it, among other things, "the great whore" and "a false cult system." John McCain has.

Americans need to ask themselves if they've ever sought economic advice from a far-right former lawmaker who "has diminished American solvency and power beyond the wildest dreams of anti-American terrorists." John McCain has.

Americans need to ask themselves if they've ever befriended a radical televangelist who blamed the attacks of Sept. 11 on Americans. John McCain has.

I couldn't care less if she was liberal, conservative, black, white, or orange color. That has nothing to do with my concern, and millions of others who have been paying attention.

Here you go Palin fans...What has been exposed of Palin is called the Peter Principle. I will even provide the link....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Principle Every person with the exception of Bush and his administration reaches it some point in their life. Eight years late, and this article has nothing to do with him.

When a person is properly vetted, they go through an interview process. When a person is improperly vetted, things come out sometimes in the worst possible fashion. When you saw Palin being interviewed by Couric, the answers that were given by her were unscripted. Unfortunately, questions were not asked of Palin like Couric and the three other interviews she gave as part of the vetting process. If she was asked anything like that before she was introduced, she would never have made the cut. Or you can speculate that she was given questions like that, and McCain liked the answers she gave. We will never know.

Sure she practiced for the debate. Sure she proved she even memorized some things, and we saw some improvement on her answers for the debate. However it does not change the fact she has gone way over her head with her abilities.

George Will, David Frum, and David Brooks and Kathleen Parker have asked her to step down. Zakaria is now joined in the chorus of concern. I think that everyone should be taking a close look and think about one thing. First question you have to ask yourself is, do you think based upon her interviews, that you can look at someone in their eye and say, I think Palin is presidential, and can take over in a moments notice?

So I guess if you don't believe my theory, and you think Newsweek is so leftist, then you probably don't trust George Will, David Brooks, David Frum, or Kathleen Parker either. Fareed Zakaria joined the chorus of concern rightfully so. All five have pointed out the same thing I am saying in various columns too.

If Obama wins the White House, there will be change alright. More taxes on businesses - particularly small business - means lost jobs and higher costs for everyone. Three out of 5 "rich folks" taxed are small business owners. They employ thousands of hard working Americans, and we've got to see the big picture. McCain supporters have to get out and vote - bring neighbors and friends. He's a fighter/survivor, and it's not over yet.

McCain's lying bothers me more than Obama's smoking

  • Posted By: USMC2008 @ 10/09/2008 10:29:27 AM

Interesting fact about Barrack Obama, Sr. "Obama's life then took a tailspin into drinking and poverty, from which he never fully recovered." Obama can't quit smoking to run our country. Apple doesn't fall far from the true it is irresponsible to smoke knowing the health risk. At this rate, McCain can out live Obama the smoker.

  • Posted By: changeiscoming @ 10/09/2008 10:24:54 AM

Change is Coming and it's a new generation. Sometimes people are scared of change because it is different and it moves them from their comfort zone. Basically, McCain is the "old generation" and just a carryon of the Bush administration. Obama's ideas are new and exciting. I understand that for some people it takes some time to get used to something different. Obama will open dialogs with the rest of the world instead of pouting like Bush does when he doesn't agree.

Once upon a time Newsweek was worth reading, how sad that you have become another left-wing, Obama worshipping rag. Your credibility disappeared some time ago, and your recent liberal rantings are written proof of your descent into liberal, hate-spewing assassination tactics against anyone who doesn't share your radical viewpoint. Obviously, you are afraid to acknowledge the fact that Governor Palin is a REAL Amceriacn success story. She is her own person and that is why she resonates with all of us REAL common folk.! Barack Obama has to be the dumbest college graduate ever if he expects the American public to believe that he didn't know anything about the terrorism practiced by his "neighbor" William Ayers. If Senator Obama is that stupid, he sure doesn't belong in the White House! He should be in a remedial "How To Be A Successful Home-Grown Terrorist" class taught by none other than the grand master of bombings.......William Ayers. You can fool some of us "folk" some of the time, but you will not be able to fool all of us "folk" all the time. I intend to
visit every Walmart, Walgreens, etc.,that displays your and purchase at least one Newsweek magazine, pay the cashier, and rip it up in front of as many people as possible. Your rag is nothing more than food for a paper shredder.

Where is your article detailing Obama's associations with Mentors that he did not know anything about their
ANTI AMERICAN statements. If he is that gullible, how can he be President of our Country.
