I am all for putting a woman in the White House, but not this one!! I mean is anyone scared? Is Palin running for Vice President or is she trying to sell America a car?? "Wink" "Wink"

What low character and lack of dignity these baseless smears reveal. McCain and Palin are so unfit for public office.

Your perspective smells of envy, a little jealousy and dose of self righteous indignation. Too Bad . I should have your job for a short time otherwise i would get as burned and cynnical as you all. Sara Palin has accomplished more than you realize and more than you give her credit. How come you dont spend more time focusing on Solutions?

It's clear that there is no point in arguing with the fanatical right wing people. You cannot have a contructive argument with that group. Unfortunately for the rest of us we have been under that thumb for the past eight years with that cheerleader from Andover running the country. It's all about to change on November 4th! You take exception with stuff that is quite small and miss the point. Mrs. Palin has accomplished more than you realize and too bad you all are too small to give credit and a balanced report. Why are you people attacking eachother on a personal level? If you want to stake your claim on a candidate and convince others that he's the man for the job, then stick to the issues, and back them up with FACTS. Otherwise you sound like a bunch of ignorant morons, and you remind people to vote for whomever you are NOT voting for.

palin is completely wrong when she answered hewitt on why the extreme hostility towards her. it's not that we're not used to someone representing joe six-packs. it's the fact that we see right through her fakeness and lies. she doesn't represent joe 6-packs or regular women with family and children. if she did, then I'd assume all joe 6-packs and regular women are conniving, snarky, lying, fakes you can't trust to hold your lolipop. I have more respect for us 'regular' people than she does. that's why we don't like her.

Contrast Palin???s experience as State Governor with Obama???s six years of executive experience 1995 ??? 2001, the so-called ???lost years???.

CAC handed over more than $100 million to Community Organizers and radical education activists including ... the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (which specialized in Bank intimidation .. sit-ins etc. to force loans to the non-credit-worthy)???. yup ACORN !!

Even if we ignore his much-denied relationship with former terrorist Bill Ayers (who ran a fundraiser at his home 1995 and who recruited Obama to CAC), what actually did CAC accomplish ?

The CAC was created to improve Chicago's public schools. CAC's own in-house evaluators comprehensively studied the effects of its grants on the test scores of Chicago public-school students and found NO evidence of educational improvement.

I truly believe that if the "McCain/Palin Administration", the title she throws out every minute while speaking to anyone, become our new leaders...we, as a country, are doomed. I am all about a woman being in the White House, but not this woman. She has too little experience, and last time I checked, running for Supreme Court was not near as big a deal as running for the right hand (wo)man to the commander in chief of our entire country!

It would seem Newsweek is supporting the lawyers of this country. Sarah Palin has a university degree, a high intellect and has already proven herself to be a constituency-based person running for office. As a former journalist and broadcast announcer, I'd bet on her journalism background to give her a much more clear and objective approach to things. I am appalled at the tack the media and pundits are taking about a woman who has clearly worked her way up the ladder and has led a state that has some of most difficult challenges to manage. I would challenge anyone in the lower 48, to deal with the problems and uniqueness of governing the State of Alaska. As the nominal Commander in Chief of the Alaska National Guard and Air National Guard, I would prefer to see her in the Vice President's seat, than a beltway regular like Joe Biden. Further, where does Newsweek make the comparison between former presidents and Palin. At her young age she has earned a degree, been a Mayor and was elected Governor of the largest state in the Union. I would say that's an ordinary person, doing extraordinary things along with raising a family. Hmmmmm! If anything else, I have to say McCain made a good decision. It definitely shows the Republicans are rethinking their policies and attitudes. Just a thought, Newsweek, how about a balanced article looking at Palin's strengths. I'll take a person with a degree in Journalism and experience at governing over an Ivy League lawyer any day.
