    Interesting that when Couric asked Palin whether she thought there was a "right to privacy" in the Constitution, Palin said yes.
    So, while she may think that she disagrees with Roe v. Wade, she actually said that she agrees with it.......or perhaps she just took a 50/50 chance guess on a yes or no question.

    For eight years, Bush and the republicans have conditioned America to be afraid and live in fear. They are now playing Americans for all they can get out of that fear card.

    Fear and smear is how the republicans gain POWER and CONTROL OVER THE PEOPLE. LIES, DISTORTIONS AND EXAGGERATIONS are the tools they use to accomplish their purpose. This is what we are seeing right now.

    If they make it, once again when the election is over, all the peon voters will be cast to the wayside and power, money and indifference to the middle and lower class will reign once again. We will be stuck for four or eight more years of the past.

    I reject these false qualifications for President. I reject the abundance of lies, distortions and complete anti Obama fabrications which are condoned be the McCain campaign and appears on this and other web sites.

    No talk on the economy, health care or any of the other issues with respect to what it takes for ordinary people to live and prosper in the reality of day to day.

    Only attacks with concocted false relationships on Obamas character, even though the major news organizations have concluded that no real relationships existed or does exist.

    HOW MANY OF YOU WILL AGAIN ALLOW YOURSELVES TO BE USED AND MANIPULATED IN THIS WAY?

    I for one will NOT bow to their fear. I will NOT vote for the dishonorable one who attempts to GAIN THE PRESIDENCY BY PLAYING US FOR FOOLS THROUGH LIES AND DECEIT.

    I will vote for the one who seeks the Presidency VIA THE HIGH ROAD WITH VISION, A COMMAND OF THE ISSUES AND A GENUINE CONCERN FOR ALL PEOPLE IN THE COUNTRY.

    My family will vote for Barack Obama.

His judgment outweighs the slightly longer experience of Hillary Clinton and the vastly superior experience of John McCain because he wont be obligated by decades of connections in the Beltway environment.

    NOW, however, his campaign has suddenly BALKED AT LOOKING AT OBAMAS CONNECTIONS outside the Beltway. Calling that GUILT BY ASSOCIATION, they have pushed back against criticism of Obamas political and personal connections to people like Jeremiah Wright, William Ayer, and Rashid Khalidi. Andrew McCarthy puts all of them together into a single coherent narrative that explains the sudden offensive from Team Obama:

    Why is Barack Obama so COMFORTABLE AROUND PEOPLE WHO SO DESPISE AMERICA and its ALLIES? Maybe it is because THEY ARE SO COMFORTABLE AROUND HIM.

    He presents as the transcendent AGENT OF CHANGE. Sounds platitudinous, but it is really quite strategically vaporous. Sen. Obama is LOATH TO GET INTO THE DETAILS of how we should change, and, as the MEDIAS CHOSEN ONE, he has not had to.

    But he is not, as some hopefully dismiss him, a charismatic lightweight with a gift for sparkling the same old vapid cant. JUDGING FROM THE COMPANY HE CHOOSES TO KEEP, OBAMA???S CHANGE WOULD RADICALLY ALTER THIS COUNTRY. He eschews detail because most Americans dont believe we are a racist, heartless, imperialist cesspool of exploitation. The details would be disqualifying.
    McCarthy provides the details. Included among them:

    The connection to WILLIAM AYERS was NO ACCIDENT of geography. MICHELLE Obama PICKED HIM TO SIT ON A PANEL WITH BARACK IN 1997 ON JUVENILE CRIME, two years after meeting with them for support in his race for the state senate.

    They participated in a panel together called INTELLECTUALS IN TIMES OF CRISIS in 2002, well AFTER AYERS COMMENTS ABOUT BEING UNREPENTANT FOR HIS TERRORISM GOT PUBLISHED ON 9/11. Bernadine Dohrn (fellow wife, terrorist, of Ayers) participated in a panel at the same event.

The Alaska Supreme court has now been brought into this "Troopergate" scandal, as McCain's team needs that extra bit of time up to the election before the true story is allowed to come out.           If anyone knows the true Sarah Palin, people like you who live in the state she governs, would know. Anyone who blindly defends a VP candidate who is so obviously inept and completely useless is either crazy, stupid, or part of the problem that will be solved by keeping her out of the White House. Palin will keep McCain from being President more than anything Obama or Biden could ever say or do. I simply do not believe that men will vote McCain into office with Palin at his side. She's inept.           Dear "Frustrated" I feel for you. You do live in alaska and know your governor. Don't let short sited opinions upset you. Who better to judge if Palin is literaly "pulling the wool over our eyes" with that winning smile. She is pro life, and that is how she practices her own life, yet she wants to remove legislation designed to allow us to make our own choice (which may be different then hers). This alone is not acceptable to me. Our choice cannot be dictated by government, period! Furthermore, not all alskans are behind her. Please can you and other alaskans tell us more about who she truly is- whether good or bad. We just need to know who she is in order to make at least an informed decisions about. Stay strong up there in alaska tell us the truth as you see it. Take care

      No 'JIMBO3800', this is the year that Journalist finally grew a backbone and demanded answers to the public's questions.

      For 8-years the Bush/Cheney administration and the Republican controlled Congress (when they were in-charge 6 of the previous 8 years), ran over the news media with absolute impunity. There was no shame in what the Republicans did. I AM D@MN PROUD THAT THE MEDIA HAS FINALLY STOOD UP AND STARTED TO DO THEIR JOB.

      And one other very important thing, stupid Sarah Palin was the one that extended a "personal invitation" to the news media to do their jobs. In Sarah's RNC speech, she threw down the gauntlet and literally challenged the media to stay at bay as she comes to Washington, D.C. and clean house. I was shocked when she did that. She must never heard the old adage that the "news media is the fourth branch of government". She is such a stupid idiot she actually humiliated and shamed the media into finally doing their jobs which is "investigative" reporting.

      And finally, Sarah is with the big boys, so she has to play and sacrifice like the big boys. All three other candidates on the ticket, has been under the flaming hot crucible and scrutiny of the media. For Joe Biden its been 35-years, for McSame its been 26-years, and for Obama its been the last 4-year. And Sarah, just 5 measly weeks. So the media has to condense at least two years of vetting Sarah Palin into two months. You can thank John McSame???s for that lapse in judgment. He should have picked a candidate that has already been vetted by the media, like Huckabee, Romney, Pawlenty, or Bay Buchanan.

          Thank you for having the guts and conviction to say what the rest of us are thinking. Sarah Palin is brain dead and after five minutes of listening to her talk, anyone who can't see that needs to move to Alaska and go moose hunting with her if they can't see that SHE is not what WE need in a President, much less, VP.

    That is the point! 90% of blacks are voting for Obama because he is black! That is racism in it's truest form.
    This is not just a white vs. black issue. I really don't think many Hispanics or Asians are enamored with "black people in general". I dated a Chinese lady in college, and we had to "sneak around" as her family did not want her dating a "white boy". Same with an Indian lady. From India, not Native American. I was married to a Mexican, from Mexico City, for 22 years. And, growing up in Arizona, I have known many Latinos that do not like blacks, in general. Why is that?

      To say that 90% of blacks are voting for Obama because he is black or that most women voted for Hillary because of her gender is silly. Unless you have sworn statements from each and every one of those voters you don't know why they are voting the way they do.       Hispanics are a creation of 3 races. The native indians of the Caribbean/central/south America. The Spanish that conquered those areas, and the black slaves brought to the new world. The term "negro" is used as an expression of endearment in Hispanic circles and can be applied to both caucasian hispanics and blacks. So I dont know where you got your info from.

    I just happened to see the cover to this article on another site and thought I'd see if it was as one-sided (of course, liberal) as I thought it would be. Yep, not disappointed. This type of reporting is EXACTLY why I stopped subscribing to Newsweek 2 years ago. Why subscribe to a "journalistic" magazine that has only one side of every issue? And, I guess they are so much smarter than I, a college educated (doctorate), business owner, and mother of 3, because try as I might I just can't see things their way. Just like Sarah Palin, I just must be too stupid. Also all of those people (folks, we like to call them) in Alaska who are so admiring of her and her many accomplishments, which we all know pale by Obama's. ...now just give me a minute....if I think hard enough I may actually be able to come up with one....oh, yeah, there was that one thing he did with that terrorist guy... oh, nevermind, that's was a complete failure ...     Governor Palin is a breath of fresh air from the backroom politics that have brought us the Billionaire bailout,
    comprehensive Immigration reform and the Bankruptcy and credit card bills that have never been read

      Agreed, plus, I really do not understand how come being a soldier in a war qualifies to be commander in chief. As far as I know McCain never managed a war, he was just a soldier in a war.

      If Colin Powell or somebody like him claim such thing I would understand but I really do not understand when McCain claims to be qualified to be commander in chief after just being a soldier in a war. And more interestingly, nobody in media questions that..

    Last month Obama had the most ridiculous setup at one of his Colorado events in Pueblo, where the teleprompter had to be setup right smack in the middle of what is a rodeo ring. He definitely is not hiding the fact that he is that dependent upon the device, that is for sure. LMAO.
